I've really wanted to see Gunslinger Girl, it looks really good. I would definetley buy that figure, it's cute but nothing I would be ashamed to get hehe...

Yes, beyond the girls with guns, I'd definitely recommend this short series if u like haunting storytelling (atmosphere and music) mixed with touching (even heart-breaking) friendships. One of my many faves. :)
Gunslinger Girl is OK, the girls makes up for the show. But dont put high hopes for the ending. ~Triella FTW >_
Oh shi! We're supposed to be commenting on the figure rather than the anime LOL. Well, Henrietta looks cute, especially on her pose looking away at an angle. Isnt the base somewhat small? Anyway it seems she's the only one made it to be sculpted ;_;
I really enjoyed the anime alot. It's a diffinate must see, great story telling, the music, it's all top notch stuff. As for the figure she is super cute!! But I wish they would have made all the main girls too. BTW Danny did you take lots of pics? When I plan my trip, Okinawa is the last place I want to visit. It's so pretty and peaceful looking
ah gunsliger girl one of my all time favorites i would really recomend it for every one i think the figure is good but it would've been better if they replaced the violin case with her P90 or SIG P239

I started watching but never did finish it. ^^; Need to get back to it one of these days... This would be a nice figure for my office at work. The OLs would like it since several still watch anime.

The anime's pretty good, but a tad short. This is the first anime that introduced me to FN Herstal's P90, and I had since fallen in love with the weapon.
The Gunslinger Girl is one of my favorite anime. So gloomy, depressing, hopeful and cruel. If you think about it in some respects the girls simultaneously receive the biggest blessing and cruelest fate. The not so straightforwardness appeals to me, which makes the relationships among the characters interesting. I wish GSC would have released the other four girls. Henrietta is so lonely now.
Just read through the comments...I love the ending. Still, there's more to come right? Or am I imagining that they're making more.
i preffered the manga... the animation was pretty alrite though.

Pretty cool figure. I wanted to watch the anime but my friend told me that the manga was much better. I'll probably buy the anime or manga if I see it at Otakon.
Gunslinger Girl huh, haven't watched the anime, but that guitar/violin case makes her look like she's going to pull a El Mariachi. ^^
As many others have noted, Gunslinger Girl is an excellent anime series. In regards to the figure, however, I can't say I like it all that much, because neither the pose nor the face adequately capture Henrietta.
I like gunslinger girl and am a fan but most of my friends that I've shared it with seem to think otherwise. Not sure why though. It was a good anime. ^^ The figure...can't say much. It doesn't seem to reflect henrietta.
Oh, I loved Gunslinger Girl, both the anime and manga. I wish they would make figs of the other girls. Triela with her shotgun is what i'm clamorin for ^^ Great pics too!
I remember seeing this quite a few times, I was always interested but never got around to buying it. Something about it's simplicity that catches me... either that or the gun she holds XD
The story in overall was good, the only thing that let it down was the 'meh' ending. I'd prefer a figurine of Henny holding the P90, actually.
the anime ending are bad. read the manga, still in progress but the story are much better than the anime.
read the manga till vol #7 before seeing the anime. so i should said the anime are not so good compare to manga. the only good side of the anime is ravalo and elsa character and relationship digged deeper than the manga love the music though
Manga is better than anime, but I still love both of them and this figure. I can´t wait for the announced sequel. I hope it will be tv series, OVA is just not enough for a series as good as Gunslinger Girl.

Bah! People put too much emphasis on endings these days. ;p This figure came out last year. I never got it because I preferred Triela.

Gunslinger Girl was good from that one time I watched it. Felt more like a drama than a cartoon. I need to watch it again. Hasn't this figure been around for a while? Is it still available places?
While a very nice looking figure, I think it would have looked better in an action pose. Her kneeling down, aiming her P90. The anime was okay. There were parts I was like...WTF. Like a part where Henrietta was blasting away with her P90. Course, sounded like surpressed P90, while the P90 didn't have a surpressor on it.
Krotch: FN (Fabrique Nationale) also made a subsonic round for the P-90 (the SB193 round), that features (obviously) slower-than-speed-of-sound muzzle velocities. It sounds like suppressed gunfire, but without the suppressor. The only inaccuracy I found with firearms in Gunslinger Girl was the proportions of the guns compared to the characters themselves. Sometimes Henriette's P90 seems far too large for her, while others it seems to fit her like she is an adult. Especially when it's inside her violin case.
I love the anime to be honest but the manga was more powerful. It will go down with people who like more real life, more slice of life, more emotional content, boosted by a smattering of loli with large rifles and smgs.
I thought that the anime was ok, but I always thought that it needed to be developed a lil bit more like in the manga. But yes watch it! I liked it. the OST is great too, so make sure that you get that. I have yet to watch the 2nd season so I can't say how that went

second season didn't exactly garner much fanfare, so no to me as well
season 2 was too moe to my liking. the story and setting of gunslinger girl is never meant to be moe.
I love the show. One of my favorites. It's so beautiful and melancholy, plus the animation is fantastic. For the first season at least. I've been less happy with the second season, which has a very different animation style, and takes the story in a different direction. Granted the first series focuses mainly on the girls themselves, and the second branches out into the rest of the story (which is all in the manga, which is also excellent), so that's one of the reasons you're getting a very different show. That's a good sculpt, but I don't think the face captures her, well, face very well.
