24)I never knew much about super robot wars as well. Only know that there's a game on it ^^;

First off, pics 4, 5, and 7 are not from Super Robot Wars, but instead are pics of Demonbane, the mecha from Nitro+'s game Demonbane. The rest I think are from Super Robot Wars. Super Robot Wars are a series of games by Banpresto; a strategy fighting game similar to final fantasy tactics, except all the players are mecha. SRW uses mecha from several well known series, like all the Gundams, Getter Robo, Majaizer Z, Gaogaigar, Evangelion, etc. However, Banpresto also sprinkles many original mecha of their own design into the games. The two games SRW: Original Generaton and SRW: Original Generation 2 use original mecha exlusively. Also the only games availabe in english. That's what the pics are. I haven't seen the anime, so I don't know how good they are.
I know super robot wars is a popular game franchise. Liked some of the soundtracks but never got around to playing.
Oooh, i have never actually seen Super Robot Wars, but some of those kitas are really nice! I mean they are still no gundam, but they sure are nice, may have to look into this series ^_^

Lessee, from top to bottom, Alteisen, Dygenguar, Weissritter, not SRT, not SRT, Wild Wuerger, Alteisen, not SRT. I played the games, watched the anime, am buying the related manga, and I order Dengeki Super Robo! Yes, I love it :P Should you watch? It's quite hard to say. I can say that I don't like most Gundam series and most of my Gundam-loving friends don't like it. Battle scenes are heavily CG, so I'm not sure if you'll like that. And of course, my eternal gripe is that the characters don't look as nice as the OG game mook art itself :P If you want to try it though, you may want to try watching a little further from the beginning to see if you'll like it, perhaps after episode 3.
What, theres an anime?? Jeez - i only thought it was a game. My otaku moniker is slowly slipping away... Im always so behind with all the latest news... :-(
those mechas look gprgeous, especially the two last ones...I'm afraid I'm going to ruin myself when I come to Japan this summer (-_-")
those mechas look amazing!!! where can i get them?
I'm actually more interested in that mechanical base. I have 4 of them preordered, but I didn't know if they could stack upward. Now that I know, I might get a few more to make a whole docking bay for all my 1/60 gundams. I don't know anything about Super Robot Wars either. Most human structured mechas seem to follow the same design (skirt armor, shoulder armor, hip armor, arm guard, etc) I wonder who has the original permit.
What is super robot wars?
They look nice but the designs are too cheesy & generic, like giant toys. Danny; The anime series is ok but nothing special, the animation quality is great but the story line is a bore. Recommended Only if your a hardcore super robot wars fan, otherwise just forget about it. There are better mecha series out there like gundam.
Super Robot Taisen is the very reason why i turned my interest in mecha after Transformers stopped appealing to me. the pre-OG ones not only featured original characters, but meshed the various gundam series, getta robo, mazinger/kaiser, and huge series like rahxephon, evangelion, and many classic shows from the 70's. it made me watch so many shows it's not funny :P i highly recommend you to play the old games, especially the PS1/2 alpha series.
Woot woot!!! Thanks for posting this Danny. All the other pics I've seen of the SRW stuff weren't very clear. I was only introduced to SRW last year, in the form of SRW OG, but once I started playing the game, I was hooked. I can honestly say now that I love the SRW OGverse as much as I like anything Gundam-related. It has loveable characters and awesome mechs, both Real and Super. I prefer the OG games, but the SRW games where they bring licensed franchises together are cool as well. Where else are you going to see Gundam stuff taking on Evangelion or your favorite Super Robots duking it out? Sadly for us in the US, they'll probably never port the crossover SRW games due to licensing issues. I would love to play the Alpha series and actually understand what they're saying. As for SRW anime, you've really gotta to be a fan of the SRW OGverse characters to really like it. Otherwise it'll just seem like a typical mecha show. Being a fan of Super Robots in general will help as well (Real Robot fans might not like it as much since it's not very...well...realistic). I for one loved both the OVA and the Divine Wars series, though the CG in Divine Wars did leave a lot to be desired. The ending of the series was epic though. ATX TEAM FOREVER!!!
whoa those are nice.. a bit too cheesy but nice =) gaah.. *gets a job*
Haven't given this one much attention in the past, but since I'm seeing in the hobby magazines often...
when the anime first came out. i thought it would be based on all the old game boy games...but it was a completely new series. the mech in the last picture looks like the mech from demonbane?
Awesome pics, Danny! Looks like Deus Ex Machina Demonbane managed to ninja his way into the SRW pics. Sneaky lil' thing!
talk about cutting edge... sorry, gundam fans, but the SRW mechs are on a level much more 'sharper' than the strike freedom.
that last robot looks like... DaiRaiOh?
KillerMel, No idea ^^; Zyg, Love your Aya avatar. Cyber, NP. OMNI Strike, Your local online retailer may have some.

I dont know the series, well Ive heard of it, yet 2 see it though!! The mecha look cool, I wouldnt mind checking it out ....
these guys look hardcore, ive never seen them before. i like the guy with the huge ankle armour things.
Well there are one not in SRW series ,see that mech with 2 big thing at its knee ? Its from Demonbane (just my guess) or something like that but all 4 left are from SRW Original Generation Series ,funny thing is most of them from ATX Team :AltEisen ,Weisswriter ,Daizengar (ex-member pilot),WildWurger (dunno where this guy go after OG2 over). Danny ,i suggest you watch Super Robot Wars Original Generations Animation OVA(3 eps movies) and Super Robots Wars Original Generation Divine Wars (25 eps -TV series) or it'll be much easier if you play the OG series on GBA (they have English ver.)
I need to watch this series! What is the story like?
