Wow! I used to want to pull that sort of stunt with my own heap. Never got around to it nor researched how it was done. Interesting to look at though.
I need a car first.
Hmmm...it depends on A) what kind of car I have and B) what anime would be on it :P
Imagine if you did that to your mobile suit, you'd launch into the battlefield and everyone will be like "omgwtf??!!" and "==;" and "Itagundam!"
Hmm ... it'd be nice to doll up a car like tat, though I probably need to learn to drive and get my own car first. But then, it'd probably be tough to pick up girls with such a car.
Haha, there is no way, even if hell froze over and refroze, that I would put an anime character on my car.
I would totally put a massive sticker of a SD Gundam(Advanced Hazel >:3) on my car!
I would so put my mascot on my car! Female or male; I don't care! As long as it's my mascot I'd do it! :D
I love anime and I love my cars, but still, I wouldn't combine the two to do this. If I had a show car for Autosalon or something I would consider it, but I'd be scared if it got scratched.

The quality looks very good ! With this kind of tuning you could do a very impressive and funny car ! This stickers are made for only one person or can you buy them easily ?
hmmmmmm,......I don't know.. My car is already customized...it's completely covered with a leopard-(cheetah)skin sticker;) for promotional issues. Quite an eye-catcher still....but to put an anime on it........???? I'll have to see ...
Love anime but on a car, no thanks. I like my car plain and simple

Danny, I have a problem with my member account. I can't login anymore, and I can't retrieve my login information. So I need your help. My member's page : http://www.dannychoo.com/home/eng/thierry/ Sorry if it is not the best place for this, but I could not find you email address.
Hmmm... Its pretty, but im not a fan of 'pimped' cars. Im much rather see cars in japan in colours other than white, black or grey instead! That car's paintwork wouldnt last long in a UK street...
hmmm, anime on cars. for me it would depend on what kind of anime and how extravagant i would want my car to look.

I wouldn't do that to my car if a I had one.
Those cars looks very good, the stickers really original to have those on a car. I wouldn't mind to have those a car if a had one.
That's just sad...
Wow.... I'm a huge car fan and a huge anime fan. However, I'd NEVER do that to my car, nor would I ever drive an "Itasha."
Wow.. I hate cars, and driving in general, but if I had that Nanoha car, I'd gladly drive all day :> I wonder if I could pay someone to do that professionally... :P
I'd do it if I had a garage to keep the car in during the modification. I'd repaint my car, which is suffering from old age (it's going "gray" [primer showing]), and put my web comic's main character there (maybe).
OMG that is soo cool! I would love to do that to a Nissan Skyline xD then it can be an Itasha Street Racing Car. However if i did it, i would like to have a Ninja or a samurai on it, but i still think its very cool...
Would I convert my car to an Itasha? Heck yeah! I wouldn't feel reluctant nor ashamed to drive an Itasha. Its got to be one of the coolest ways to express one's otakuness, hehehe! ^_^
Hail, these are the people who have enough courage and guts to go around and show off their interest in anime! It really tests me too, "Do you have the guts to decorate your car with anime?" Like the lot of people, I probably don't, but I sure like to give props to these guys who actually did. And like a few others, I also need a car. :P

i dont know. even though iam not old enough to drive people would call me perv if i cant to drive it one day but looks alsome!!
nice, that looks interesting to say the least. lol not sure if i would like my car to be like this. maybe if just adding some designs from anime, actually why not, lets itasha my car. lol i'm looking forward to your with your mascot been all over Tokyo :-)
仁葉工芸さん、 仁葉工芸さんの説明で分かりました!んんん恥ずかしいんですね^^; David, I need to find out and tell you later as I'm interested in how they do this. Alafista OTAKU, Well it depends on what type of girl ^^;
So it's the post you promised to us. All right! I feel that the true essence of otaku-ism is found in Japan, so Itasha is more than okay there. But in other countries, it would leave a lot of people spooked and bewildered as older generations are unfamiliar with anime. I find it great to express your tastes to the public and that some stickers can change your car completely! At worst, every taste is in nature, and there are many eroge fanatics in this world, so itasha should be fine in comparison... I like this idea, and if one asked me about trying it, I'd reply "Why not?"... If it's not about ending having my car stolen or vandalized, that is. ^-^
If I had a "spare" car I'll definitely go for it lol. I would like to apply more "discrete" stickers to my car though... Like a A.E.U.G. or Zeon logo car sticker. Never found a place that sells that kind of stickers for cars anyway. Any info is highly appreciated ^^
holy crap. i want those sticker thingies... if i had a car.
Definitely will do something like that man. The FAITH logo would be nice as well, but a friend of mine suggested putting a Haruhism sticker or two...
People could you actually get paid for this... Considering how big is the anime industry, maybe advertisers could start using cars as the advertising support. That would be pretty interesting.

I agree with TRISTAN from Paris!! Cars, Buses, Trains.....heck, even planes!! That would be awesome ....
To Gordon Pekeur: Well, there has been at least a commercial plane (I think it belonged to JAL -Japan Airlines-) covered with huge Pokémon stickers, itasha style... as far as I remember. Though it has been many years ago already. And I'm sure there are a lot more examples like that one. So it's not that recent for a phenomenon...
hmmm... those are printed vinyls, right? this would be a good business opportunity ^^
この場合の「痛い」という言葉は、日本人にも わからない人が多いと思うので、ちょっと難しい 言葉だと思います。 「COOL(冷たい)」にも「カッコイイ」という 意味があるのにちょっと似ています。
I wouldn't mind having that on my car. :D
ダニーさんの車もこうなったらぜひ見せてください(^^)/ ちゃんと奥さんにOKもらってくださいね。

Yo Danny! These kind of cars were first know as ITAKA (Itai-car) and first appearead at the parking in front of the train station near Ariake (Tokyo Big Sight) during the Comiket a couple of years ago... first trace of itaka found on printed paper is a photo published in Julie's SAMURAI GIRL photobook...
wow, it really nice, i would like to do to my car too, i wonder my town here have this service or not....
would love to make it into a itasha but i think ppl will attack me here if i do that and i dun own the car >.
If I do that to my car, it would be stolen in no time ^^;; Anyway, they look extremely cute. They would definitely brighten up my day if I see any of them on the street.
:O Where can I get big anime stickers?!
I really...really need to get myself that Nanoha vinyl print on the hood of that white car....any idea where to get it danny? :D
I asked at a few auto places and custom vinyls are expensive! i only i could find some vinyl to print my own on the school printer... I love that Nanoha car.
I was imagining how would be a Gundam Car Style, or may an Eva Car style. You can also add nice stuff on it (maybe some machine guns and nice wings =P)
if its the stickers that made cars look more mecha or like planes then HELL YES i would make it into a itasha
Mirai chan on your car would be uber cool!~
is there a guide anywhere how to make your car an itasha?
There are many, there are already instructions on some itasha goods, it depends on how you'll put it up, just need some creativity.
creepy.... But then again, it nearly reminds me of stuff some guys in my unit try to pull off when I see 56th Stryker stickers everywhere. If they touch my car, then they will be smoked until I'm tired of watching them puke.
where can i buy that book itasha road 2007 cant find it no where only in japaness sites looking for a english site to buy.this is wat i put on my car http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/4877/dsc5939ki9.jpg http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/7892/dsc5940jv4.jpg
I would put Ichigo from Bleach on my whip.
I was walking around Akihabara this evening and seen a couple of cars (180SX, Subaru Impreza, Honda Civic Hatchback and a Silvia) lined up in front of Curry Kitchen all with these stickers on them. Very popular with the crowds as many people gathered to take pictures (so did I). Here's a link to those pictures: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=20450&l=22623&id=502529336
