I gotta admit, ive been a little behind with my anime the past year or 2, and I only recognise about 10 or so on that list. Haruhi's characters did pretty well though. Including them so high up is a little unfair considering its only been around for a year or 2 though.
Nice to see Rei, though i thought she would at least be in the top 10 - rei must be the most 'figured' character ever!

I agree with most of you guys, It's really unfair for the older anime characters not being in the top. Ei Danny, Can you lengthen the field for the RSS feed for the member profiles? :o)

I don't know why, but I am surprised that Puchiko isn't on this list.  The same goes for Madoka of "Kimagure".  Other than that, the list seems about right.

Considering that most of the people who voted are probably "new blood" in the anime scene, this list doesn't surprise me at all.  I actually agree with it for the most part.

Where the hell are the totally awsome Fist Of The North Star (Hokuto No Ken) characters? Even stupid Shin Asuka made it to the list.

Well, finally got it right. It was cookie deletion that deleted the previous comments, I think. Maybe or maybe not, but anyway, I'm up and running on your site! ^^

My site is still being tweaked....people may find a lot of differences as I change stuff around a LOT!

Anyway, this list isn't so much a bother to me, since I know what I like or don't like. Popularity is relative anyhow. ^_^

Then the show everyone hates on with all their might, Gundam SEED, still ever so popular.  2nd and 3rd most popular males, 2nd and 4th most popular females.

thats a good list, while its not in English I still see some familiar characters. I'm glad Gundam Seed Chars made it up the first 5. Have you seen the 1st American Anime Award? You vote online for that one.

I saw in the Megami Magazine top bishoujo anime characters of 2006 (basically the one with no male characters :P) Nanoha was first, but (unless I missed her) she doesn't even seem to be on this list :

Is this really their top 100 anime characters?  There's quite a few that I think should be in there which aren't included in that list.

Surprisingly though I know about 80% of the characters in the list.  Got me thinking about how much time I've spent on watching anime. o_O

I'm glad not all of the top 100 are from the newer anime. I'm a 90s-early 2000s anime fan mostly. Haha GWing, Eva, RK, etc. Yay for Nausicaä! ^o^
