食事を済ませ、東京タワーに向かった。観光者よりもカップルのほうが圧倒的に多かった。また思ちゃったよ。"日本に住んでいてよかった"っと^^;

通常は写真の処理はPHPのスクリプトにまかしています。そのスクリプトは写真のなかのEXIF情報を読み、写真を回転し、3種類のサイズにリサイズし、ロゴの透かしを入れ、アップロードしてくれるので、画像処理ではなく、コンテンツに集中できるのがうれしい(近い間にそのスクリプトを公開します)。よって、フォトショップを殆ど起動することはない。今回はちょっとしたフォトショップ処理をかけようとしたのだが、完全に失敗^^;

その昔フォトショップや3DMAXで作ったCGはギャラリーに入れています。

Tch - fancy not going up Tokyo tower til now!

I spent ages looking at that main expressway when i went up there. Looks like a vein, and the wee cars are blood vessels! Nice lift ride too.

Superb night shots mister Choo - really colourful pics. You must have a sniper hand (aided by diazepam) to take steady pics at such long exposure times without a tripod. Im amazed you didnt pick up any reflections from the slight interior lighting too.

Any chance of some huge-ass 3000X3000-ish size versions? ISO enhanced cityscapes at night make for the best wallpapers ever.

Hmmmmmmm... I'm defo no pro-photographer but there's something about these images that don't look quite right.

I've seen people use the exact same cam as you with the bog-standard kit lens and no tripod but their images don't look like what you have here. Yours seem rather wishy washy. Were you using "spot metering" or something?

I'm actually more concerned about your Cam. Are these the first and only shots you've taken with the cam since you cleaned the sensor yourself? Like said, exposing the sensor to bright light for long periods is not ideal (of course, for 5 mins once in a while isn't a big deal).

We've been standing in the exact same spots here. Not that theres many places to stand...

Danny, congratulations to you both on your 10th wedding anniversary! I've hear this before, go to Tokyo Tower this time of the year, and you feel like you are part of a couples tour. ^^; I wonder if couples still leave padlocks on the tower...

Never critical of your photo skills because I'm definitely not a pro as well. Did you shot these threw Plexiglas? You probably used evaluative mode or standard mode. My 20D will do the same in this metering mode. It just can't make up it's little electronic mind how it wants to set exposure. Anyway, your photos are interesting. It's amazing how alive the city feels at night from the air. Every once in a while, we will get to see Central Florida and Orlando through the HUD of the Space Shuttle during night landing. It feels just like these photos.

BEAUTIFUL scenery. Thanks for the photos!
Really, though, I can't imagine living there. While I'll be visiting Japan for a period of time in the future, I really kind of hope I spend more time closer to nature than. Yet I hope I get to see the Tokyo Tower view in person.

Oh, a note on registration: Registration went well (I can live without mixed-case usernames), but it seemed the screen telling me to check for the confirmation email had the incorrect encoding declared (as observed by me on Safari). I can't really confirm *exactly* what the problem is, since I was booted back to the registration form before I could check everything, but I'm sure you can figure it out. And I'm sure it won't matter once the form is in English. Perhaps other browsers compensate better, as well.

Hey Danny,

Congratulations for your 10-year wedding anniversary!

It is quite an idea you got there. Your wife must have wondered where you could have invited her and I'm sure she was very happy that you remember about the place you met her.

Reminds me of old good Eiffel Tower and home too (I lived in Paris for a long while).

Great pictures and view there...

(On another note, I like the animated gif of Haruhi Suzumiya, hope to see others like that!)

Happy vacations!

Late to the party, but I'd like to give my congrats. Seeing Tokyo Tower should be one of the first tasks I do when I go to Tokyo. I could have sworn that it'll be redesigned in five years, give or take a year.

Oh and I'm liking this new profile thing. So amusing. Ha ha ha!
