I always enjoy the ad posters I see in Japan. Since I'm a train enthusiast, I always see many of them when in Japan. Some I wish I could take down, roll up and enjoy at home. ^^; It's a shame we can't get hold of some of these posters. Especially since many are printed on high quality papers and vinyl now. If one had a large studio or loft, just think what you could do...

How did you manage to steal the poster from the bus stop? I have been tempted on a few occasions, but the plastic seems impenetrable short of actually smashing it with a brick I guess.

I noticed that the most mundane of japanese posters look ace - this one at Akibahara station was one of my faves: http://www.btinternet.com/~chunglist2/Images/Tokyo_Sept-2006/DSC01774_Akihabara.JPG
Just what you want to see when waiting for a train! Danny - Please tell me what the advert is for! Its ace!

PS - where has the orange-ness gone from the top page?

Stealing ?
Well is it stealing to get advertisement posters (with nice lady like Laetitia Casta ), that will be thrown away the week after ?
Not a big crime in my book. Then again I never got caught, so I don't really know what I would risk...

Most poster ads I see are usually sticked with very sticky tape or something. Even if you try removing them slowly (I tried a few times myself :P) they tend to get ripped.

I love the posters in japan though. Wouldn't mind taking one home for myself. Imagine your room full of those. :D

I've never stolen in my life. Been tempted all the time, but I never have.

Wish we had those kind of posters in the USA up in the subways of New York City! Of Course, Hollywood rules that scene so its likely we won't see any. Good stuff though, thanks for sharing!

I've stolen once, but I don't think anybody notice since nobody around was crazy enough to mess with an armor-clad individual with a set of swords, knives and other medieval implements of death and destruction strapped to his back. Even the police backed off.

Neat...

digital mural size posters of famous celebrities from the NTT Docomo commercials could be a profitable internet business for NTT Docomo. NTT may like the idea of licensing the images to SONY. SONY can exclusively promote mural size display monitors with the NTT internet service to display digital mural wallpapers as a new product with Windows Vista with any mural size display monitor.

I stole a Stop sign once, but I replaced it with one I made with a spray bomb and some cardboard. (safety first). a friend of mine stole the letter P from the police station. it's been gone for 2 years, he's thinking of trying to put it back without being caught. That would be front page news here.
