いくつかのPS3ネタ。
数人のPS3開発者の知り合いがいるので、悪いことは言わないが、やっぱり初期不良はあった^^;

なんだか前回はPSPの飛ぶUMDやへこんだままのボタンも「仕様です」と同じようなこと言っていましたよね。^^;
ネタ元:ZDNET Japan

Hmmmmm, classic Sony... I'm sure everyone will agree so wholeheartedly. Afterall, music so trivial in a game. That's why they release OSTs from games. Could you imagine playing a FF game without music, Sony!

Awesome insight on the PS3 Danny! I heard that Sony said that the PS2 glitch will be fixed in a newer software revision.

I hope my power at home doesn't go out since we got some crazy wind right now~

Oh yeah I heard about an magnitude 8.1 earthquake that shook Japan today (or was it yesterday). Hope everything is safe.

Cheers,

Hehe. Classic Sony stuff. They will probably go "one can ignore the trival stuff like playing the old games. Buy the new games instead!" :p

By the way, I posted this link in one of the comments in the PS3 review post. Don't know if you have seen it yet.

I guessed as much. Gundam games seem to be designed for hardcore fans who only buy it cos its Gundam (im looking at you Danny - buy it!). I played a japanese Gundam seed arcade game and I was bored quickly. It was like Virtual ON but slower. The only cool stompy mech game Ive ever played was the little known, and American made 'Slave Zero'
Im gonna wait 4 or 5 months til after the (delayed) PS3 UK launch - maybe some decent games will be out then.

I coulda told you that the gundam gameplay was gona stink from just the videos... it looked very slow and not smooth. Are there any rumors of a ZOE 3? Now that is a game that has almost perfect controls. I might get one 5 years from now when it is at a reasonable price.

well for ebay, to create an account you need to enter unique information such as: creditcard #.
Additionally in eBay you are responsible for any bids, so if you dont pay, your account would have negative feedback and possibly be banned.

Not sure how yahoo.jp auction works.. don't they have some protection for sellers? It seems like there a big loophole where seller can bump up their bid price without any risk.

BTW. Danny you're not getting a Wii? I bet it will be more entertaining :)

I was expected the early releases of the games will be bad. Development of the games on PS console always tough. The game developers might not be able to fully utilize the PS3's power. I'll get PS3 just because of Metal Gear Solid 4 :P

As expected and on schedule that they release the system riddled with bugs. Down the line though I am sure games will get better.

For now, its a no go for this one. Metal Gear Solid 4 TEMPTS me to buy the system, and that is about it. I will leave it to the folks at home to buy a PS3 for the family if they want, and then use it for my enjoyment. I am still going after the Wii.

The only game that really tempts me into buying a playstation 3 at the moment is Metal Gear Solid 4, but its still not enough to make me part with the ridiculous money the PS3 will cost on launch Here in the UK. I think even though Sony is making a loss on every console sold, they should have more faith in the games (Like Microsoft did with the Xbox and 360) and drop the price in order to shift more consoles. Like everything though, the price will drop after a few months anyway ^_^

not suprised at all at PS3 bugs and Sony's response. -_- sad as it is, bugs are pretty much a fact of console launch. i suppose as long as sony releases a patch for backward compatibility in the future it would be good, but i doubt greatly Sony would be that generous.

Ha ha ha! My friend told me about what went on in Japan. I'd say something witty, but I won't.

Even without this situation, I'm not going to buy either either system. The PS3 is such a risky investment and SNK Playmore does agree with me too, even though I have hated a good amount of their games for the past five years. The Aii, er, the Wii is another Gamecube and N64: all hype and no substance. I made a mistake by buying a 64 and my brother made a mistake by buying a Gamecube. There is no way neither one of us will make the same mistake. The way I see it, it will follow the same flaws as the last two and it already started with the horrid standard controller. (You don't expect me to perform a Raging Storm with that remote now, do you?)

My complain is a little different. I bought one at a reasonably high price, thinking that I could connect it to my Sony LCD monitor (with a HDMI-DVI cable) and see what the HD hype is all about, but you know what? It didn't work. There's input, but the monitor fails to display anything. But the thing that gets to me the most, is not the technical problem here, but rather the online customer service I have been getting. I sent an e-mail to the Customer Service and the replies I got were absolutely ridiculous. They would reply with answers that has nothing to do with my question, and they would do it over and over again. Other than that, I don't have much gripes about the system. I still think Wii is better though.
