There is Kanon merchandize. If you look at the fifth photo, you can see Keroppi and Piro stuffed animals and Mai t-shirts.

I would have been disappointed too... You probably could have gone shopping at your favorite shops and had more fun. Oh well, you know what not to put on your "must go to" list for next year. ^_-

Though Sh15uya is a place for cool-hunting, but it's hardly a place where Otas would hang-out. Perhaps Shibuani is meant for the layman - to try to bring Ota culture to the mainstream (riding on the coat-tails of the Densha Otoko / Akihabara@DEEP popularity?)

Sh15uya is more like J-pop cool rather than Ota-cool. What I see in the pictures suggest that Shibuani is a tokenism towards Ota-culture, especially so since this event is held in Tokyo itself.

Apart from the near-empty halls, them Pillows are awesome. Especially the Tenma one.

Mmm... Pillows... ^_^ ;p

On the PG Topic, The only Perfect Grade I wannna see is Freedom Gundam or Destiny Gundam. Destiny deserves a PG.

Sure does seem vacant though...
I'd have to say that if they were to ever release a PG Nu Gundam, I'd probably shat myself. Then I'd get one.
(ID #40329) Posted on 2007/01/02 01:23
Hmmm...upcoming new PG? About time too. I wonder if they'll be getting it from the CE series. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. They've been releasing CE model kits left and right lately and with the success of the PG Strike...well.

Again yet another long term lurker but an avid reader (I'm too lazy to press the "comment" button).

That's a real shame though that we didn't see any kits this year. All of it is eye-popping don't get me wrong, but even for Japan that is a small number of folks there 0_0. I hope to get over to the next convention here in the States when I can find a date!
(ID #40343) Posted on 2007/01/02 01:23
I dont see a hint of excitement? Wouldnt call that a festival, looks more like an exhibition. But I'm surprised, not alot of the display is in glass cabinets. Esp those costumes and life sized dolls. Did they let people get close to them?
