Hmmm. First post? or not? xD
I just started collecting figures this year so I can't gauge it for now, but I dream that I could get a figure every week to spice up my life. xD

I'm a poor guy that doesn't have any money for figures....I need a job. But If I don't graduate there is no job. Mehh...Study instead I must. The only figures I actually have that could count as them is a huge gundam wing toy and some figures I won from a contest from a game called Manga Fighter. My life long dream is to have a Kosmos V4 figure. I may never realize that dream. But that is the figure that has left me in awe since the first time I saw it on the internet.

It's a shame, I can eat almost ANYTHING, I love food, especially Japanese food, but raw egg is one thing that I have never been able to staand the taste of, Suppose that when I finally make it over there, I'm going to need to either learn to like raw egg, or just skip raw egg meals all together, looks like Danny does a good deal of raw egg eating.

As for figures, I think I mentioned this already, but I get 3 or 4 figurines a year. So, I get a figure every few months. I have to start being careful though. I don't have a lot of room left to work with.

I went to HK awhile back and over did it with the figure buying. Seeing the prices there compared to the prices you see here in Canada gave me a case of the crazies. I am now exercizing a lot of self-discipline...

And road repairs here in Toronto can last for over half a year to a year. Traffic suffers. It could be because everyone here is laid back and have no pressure to work harder than they need to.

i sometimes have problems buying shoes as well. not because stores don't have my size, it's because US9,10 are common sizes and they are sold out fast.

road works here can goes for a few days to weeks. but they get the job done well.

i'm buying lesser figures now as most of my money now goes to the armour/accessories and photographic equipments.

Around here they keep lines of cones and signs in place for months after the roadworks are actually finished.
The only problem here is finding decent shoes because I don't like trainers... loads of cheap ugly rubbish but good shoes are as hard to find as good women.
I was told there is a risk of salmonella from raw eggs.
I buy figures whenever I can, which is not often - I do know a good dealer but he relies on US import!

I try to buy a few figures a month, a mix of maybe one "statue" and some trading figures or action figures.
I totally agree with this, the roadworks over here in the UK take the piss, but thats mainly due to the fact that construction workers over here, especially in London, are so damn lazy. I remember by my house they were doing "roadworks". Took two months and when it was over we realized all they were doing was refurbishing some of the pavement.

this is totally an eggy week; my mum told me not to eat more than 2 eggs a day and I still find having a half boiled egg in the center of a pizza funny ^^; even before thinking I already say Shana when I saw that melon pan~

I think I get my figures on a monthly basis but there are times when they all suddenly came flying together. I already held back gettin a few now, I need to save $$ for a DSLR!! ;_;

Raw egg you say? Quite interesting to me. I've always tried to stick to all my food, except the times I get sushi, to be cooked in hopes of not getting food poisoning again. I'll never forget the time I was food poisoned because I did not cook my omlet all the way through and had to miss track practice for nearly two weeks. It was very bad to say the least and I got behind in my training.

Mh ... Battery change after 3 years ?! How come ? Are you driving so much and short ways, that the battery had already malfunctions ? I had a battery, which have run about 14 years, before i had to change it.

About the question, i don't get figures every week, but when i get some, it's a huge package with 5 to 8 figures in it (or more, when there are petit nendoroids in it). That's because i let them put aside and save them, until there are more then 3 to 4 figures saved. But from the amount of pre-ordered figures, i could say i get every week figures ^_^

I only get a figure every so many months. Don't really have room or budget for more so I get those I like the most only. (Plus such moderation makes me enjoy the ones I do have, don't want them to be lost in a swarm so to speak.)

My shoe size is 7 to 7,1/2 so I have to be lucky to still find the small sizes for shoes... >_<

Road construction sites are better flagged these days over here. They heightened the visibility and alerting boards/lights since we had quite a few lethal accidents when trucks or cars would drive full speed into cars standing still due to road construction. Though alas it still does happen...

I dont like the squishy type of egg white and yolk in the half boiled eggs. Me got small feet, so no problem of shoe sizes. ANd figures come on monthly basis or sometimes every two weeks. That reminds me of the decreasing space to keep them O^O.

I remember my first real figure (as in not cold-cast, not gashapon or shokugan) was a bust-type of Saya and Haji from Blood+. It was like $50 or so and I thought that was sorta outrageous but I loved the series a lot. Now I know that $50 is like base price for that kinda stuff. I know PVC figures were around before like 2005 or 2006 when I acquired her, but I look back at like pre-2004 figures and a lot of them look really hideous by today's standards. They must've implemented crazy new production methods or at the very least better sculptors since then. But the latter probably isn't true, because I used to see garage kits in magazines in like the 90's that were pure awesome.

I've tried to drink raw egg like twice... It was one of the worse feeling and taste ever, but I forced it down anyway.
I do enjoy half cooked eggs(soft-boiled) where the yolk still leaks out.
There are plenty of figures which I want, but I am able to control myself and choose only the few which I REALLY want. So I get a figure like once every 2-3 months. May get a few more under special circumstances.
I've never heard or seen a rice burger before. Looks like it will all fall apart as soon as you bite in to it.
I would love to be able to meet up with you Danny when I visit Tokyo at the end of the year.

gratz on the big news coverage thingy? not really sure how to say it but i know its something big and important so.. gratz

and in my town, they have been working on the same street for almost what...? like 3 months now? reduced two way traffic to one and made the street a maze of traffic cones that zig zag back and forth between the two lanes and a connected parking lot...

Unfortunately, financially, I can only really afford a fig, if I'm lucky, once every great while. And even then, I gotta be picky since I'm also limited in space :( I think the first one I got was Max Factory's Meg from Burst Angel (The one with her large hand cannon)

Road constructions go really slow in Canada since people here are somewhat laid back so it can take months. It's not just road construction, any kind of constructions or maintenance basically.

I get new figures every month depending on my budget ^^ and I can eat any type of eggs (raw, boiled, scrambled, half-done, etc).

Are those desktop icons that I saw on your macs ? there are so many of them and they fill up your entire screen ^^;;

I see the Japanese love their eggs. :D I prefer them cooked, but I'll eat just about anything that looks tasty as long as you don't tell me beforehand what it is.

I LOLed at the 4th pic... somehow when I didn't look it good enough I first thought you had Mirai-marked groins of the man on the right, was wondering what the reason for that. After second look I noticed it was the camera that had been marked :)

Looking forward what you filmed there :)

seem like japan folk like half boiled/raw eggs a lot.
for me student, eating instant noodle with half boiled eggs (put noodle, raw egg in a bowl then pour water in, waiting for 1-2 min) is a daily menu (saving money for one day to buy a figure from japan)

1) I don't eat eggs anymore, but when I did I usually enjoyed them well done.
2) Road work takes longer than forever here in Georgia.
3) Sadly I don't own any figures, but I want to start collecting soon.

Eggs travel a long distance around here, and I have some concerns about the cleanliness of facilities and shops I get them in, so I won't eat them in any other way than fully-cooked. If I were in a place where I could guarantee the quality, I might have a different position.

As for roadwork, we have a joke in Canada that we have two seasons, Winter and Roadwork. The temperature extremes lead to the roads heaving, and that means lots and lots of repairs needed. At the moment, my city is experiencing a building boom, so we get more roadwork as more roads and train tracks are needed to cope with the population increase.

As for the filming, I'm looking forward to those newsclips!

I buy the majority of my shoes when I go to Japan (I have a small collection, mainly Nikes). I am a U.S. size 10 (28cm) and I find that ABC Mart http://www.abc-mart.com/index.html generally always stock up to my size or a 28.5cm (which I believe is a U.K. size 10 according to this conversion chart: http://www.i18nguy.com/l10n/shoes.html). Sports Depot http://www.sportsdepot.com/footwear.html usually have bigger sizes too. I find both of these places to be considerably cheaper than buying locally and they will often have the shoes I want months before they are available locally. Maybe you could try one of those places Danny? I also find that shoe stores I've visited in Tokyo tend to stock larger sizes (up to US size 11 or 12!) than in more regional places like Kanazawa, where I spend the majority of my time when in Japan. :)
Roadworks go on forever and ever and ever. The route I take to work every day is undergoing a major five year upgrade at cost of AUD $1.88 Billion. We are one year in and the traffic is even worse than before. http://gup.com.au/asp/index.asp My commute should take 40-50 minutes each way but regularly takes 1.5 - 2hrs :(
I was very sceptical about uncooked eggs to begin with but I love it now. My favourite is using it as a dipping sauce for things like Sukiyaki.
Mos Burger is great! I love their spicy burgers.
Eneos battery... my mother in law works for Eneos. I have a couple of their little cars in my display cabinet.

I have had pleasant experiences with roadworks. They seem to appear overnight. I could swear that a pedestrian island was built over night. Maybe the workers are nocturnal......

I wish we had reliable road work over here~
The main road I took to my Uni was closed off and on for 2 whole months!
It was put a pipe in... I wouldn't have minded so much if it was construction on a road with millions of pot holes (like most of the roads around here)~ But it wasn't even something that would benifit most people...
The road I had to take to replace it was not only 2X as busy... but a much longer ride... Making my 45min trip about 1hour 15 minutes.... And It was during the time when gas prices were highest of course. I did learn though if got past there before 7AM or After 8PM the road was opened though. So I started going out of my way to wake up early and leave late on certain days.

6 Months later the road is opened... but they just put a bunch of gravel on it and never actually paved itO.o They even put up signs saying "Travel at your own risk"~ because its not very safe feeling...

I wish I have more time to check out your posts... orz

But nevertheless hahaha I have to agree with you Danny that the British roadworks take forever. The lads over there like to take their time while having all these "Health and Safety precautions" in their minds. Even Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear proves it and tried to show them that an ordinary road could be done within 24 hours (in a very sloppy way) rather than several months of inefficiency..

Hong Kong has a lot of road maintenance here and there. Luckily people do get their job done in time due to the usual Asian culture. It's worth noting that a lot of the workers are actually from other countries such as Pakistan.

Out of curiosity, how many eggs do you consume in a day, Danny?
I used to eat about 6-8 per week several years ago (I worked out a lot). Now I try to limit it down since I'm getting old. I like half-boiled eggs. It's pretty common to find this in Asia.

Well I used to get one every 2 weeks to at most a month for new figurines. It's just that the summer was really bad since the supplier hasn't given our local figurine/gundam shop his goods. And that's bad.

It's like 2 months overdue and still hasn't gotten the first order. Sad thing is, his supplier 'moved' and 'misplaced' his order and is in a mess. (Not surprised if the supplier's clients are also pissed off) All due to mishandling and a 'sudden' vacation they decided to take without notifying our local store -.-''

THANKS.... But still around a month or longer now, since he'll be looking for a new one
