haha...offsetting the single 100% vote for liking wasabi with my vote for not liking it However, I used to not like eating my sushi with ginger. Now I do. Not only good for you, but I've learned to like the taste of it. And oh my god that curry gyuudon looks excellent. Two of my favorite foods combined.
Reading through these always make me so hungry... I knew Tanaka Rena looked familiar when I saw her, but I never knew she was in the GTO Movie. xD
Always order wasabi with my sushi and sashimi. Usually overload it until I cry tears of joy! >__< Danny, you seem to like shijimi / clams / pipees quite a bit? That's twice you had with miso soup in this post. Currently have a wireless setup at home. Although both my PC and Mac are wired and only use the wireless for the second computer, Wii and PS3. That Buffalo mini hub is tiny! Currently addicted to Toshihide Sano illustrations after your little introduction a while back!! ^___^
Looking at all those food...yum ^^ I so wanna eat the beef bowl and those tempura!! As for internet, using wireless connection right now ^^ and I think mine is pretty fast for a wireless ^^
Oh noes, Danny, your engurish is goin' worse! Thatz because of that constant manga reading! ^^; Wasabi is great btw. ^o^b And that Ronald is freakin' scary as always... geez... T_T
Hi, can i make a small guess? the beef bowl with curry is from Sukiya.. Am I correct? :P anyway, I do want to set up network in my place soon. since will moving my ps3 from living room to my room. And I got one pc and one laptop in my room. Still thinking wired or wireless..
I ate sushi a few times before... But never try it with the wasabi... I guess I'll try it next time... *i'm not good with spicy foods xD* All these food pictures made me hungry...
i don't like the taste of horseradish/wasabi at all. *brrr*
i just love wasabi with either sushi or memil noodle
anyways. DANNY WHAT YOU DO EVERYDAY LOOKS TOOO FUN DX
With wasabi of cos. ;) your 'week in tokyo' is so good that it always makes me miss japan. am already planning my next trip end of the year. just trying to decide btw tokyo or osaka.
Yep, I like wasabi so much... and I feel hungry now...
"Cum to think of it, this manga is a coloring book, Japanese learning aid and dolphin waxing aid too - all for only 390 yen." --> i lol'd @ Cum part XDDDD did you say mall? when it comes to malls, the phils won't be left behind especially the staggering number of malls here not to mention we have one of asia's largest mall ^_________^ at first i don't like wasabi and until now i still can't get used to it but i'll still use it until i get used to it lolz
Wow Danny.. Your post about Tokyo every week keeps getting more & more interesting.. Tokyo is so fun, I might decide on living there too when I have the money 1st..
Haha Danny, before I realize that it is "week" in Tokyo I always go thinking "how damn much does he eat every day?!". ^^,
And I always forget it until next Tokyo week, and think it again when I see all the food. ('~')
You sure ask a lot of questions in your entries. ;) I personaly like wasabi, it's not my love but it goes well with sushi imo. I love japanese food in general EXCEPT seafruit(?) like squid... *shiver* to much legs... arms... whatever! I stick with normal fish. ;) At home i use W-Lan only for my mobile devices (laptop, phone, iPod etc. pp.), my Desktop-PCs and my File/Dev Server are on good ol' RJ45, the ones with a little cover over their clip flag release thing. Right now i got two file servers running with 1TB of storage each, considering to go for a NAS but those are hard to get with more then 2 HDDs support as it seems, least i didn't find one and it seems cheaper to just buy a 19" rack and put servers with low power specs in it. Maybe more work but in the end you get a RAID system with more storage and about same power usage. My room is so not a girls room... you wouldn't know if i had not some plushies spread, and tons of other cute things lol... :/ Tech stuff and cute stuff keep the balance on 50/50 though. Maybe it's really time to go for some cute figures now. o_O
Shana mousepad spotted! And I'm using it too ^^ Along with a Kudryavka mousepad from Little Busters!. Lol all those food is makin' me hungry. Cum to think of it, recent english scanlations I found of ToLove Ru has been crappy.
Haha, I also always surfing on my iPod Touch. Its just an awesome gadget.
geniales las fotos felicidades y la comida se ve deliciosa!!!!!!!!!
I use both wired and wireless for my Internet. Wireless is for my gadgets and wired is for my PCs and laptop since I do online gaming ^^ As for wasabi, I put it on my sushi just because it's good for my body. I like spicy in general but still cannot like spiciness of wasabi.
Gah, most enviable week as ever Danny. Great food, great figures, manga and gadgets everywhere...Really, I'd eat anything from those pictures, besides the clams 'n stuff (I have allergies). Oh and since you're asking, we're totally wired up bakc home, because mum thinks all the wifi-rays are bad for the health @.@
it used to hate wasabi for its strong plastico smell.. then one day, my gf sabo my ebiko sushi with wasabi and only i grew to like wasabi.. we have a couple of shopping malls in penang..but i still prefer shopping at the capital, KL - especially Sungai Wang Plaza - get to see lots of "lala mui" how they know u are a repeated bike offender??? wireless at home have but me wired connection using is
shopping is one of singaporeans' favourite pastimes. there's usually one outside a train station. ^^;
I used to use Otemachi station alot when I was in Tokyo last year. Used to change there to the Hanzomon line to get to my hotel at Suitengumae! I can't wait to go back at the begining of September for 2 weeks! Does anyone know of any special events etc happening in Tokyo at that time?
Always loved eating sushi/sashimi, however could never grow to like the taste of wasabi. Tried forcing myself to get adapted to it but it just doesn't work. However if the amount of wasabi they put is very very little, I wouldn't mind. As for home internet network, I have to use wireless as the main connection point is far away in my parent's room and routing a line doesn't seem practical. Would prefer being wired as it's alot more reliable. After seeing all the photos of the food, it is making me hungry!! Must...control.... *goes to make a sandwich*
i think it's kool to subscribe to the Mc Donalds mobile newsletter. wish they had it here. the food you eat looks realy nice hope it taste good. ^_^ love the week in japan.
Love the feeling when I take too much wasabi at one go; it's like having a mini-explosion inside my nose XD.
I've tried wasabi coated peanuts,t hey tasted... Great, NOT! They burnt my tongue and made steam come out of my nose...
I prefer my food without Wasabi, also Singapore has lots of shopping malls, too much in fact... ornehx: I love to go to sungei wang too, lots of cool stores. what's a 'lala mui' btw?
Damn Danny, I'm getting hungry now... I don't like wasabi but the ginger thing taste good. ^^; I don't know why there is a white, green, and pink ginger thingy but they taste the same. I have both internet connections at home but i prefer wired as it is faster. Wireless for the Wii, Laptops, and other devices. Wired for the desktop.
I think the best part about wasabi at a sushi places here is that one of my friends invariably always seems to take a dare to eat their whole wad of wasabi at once with nothing else.
when I use to frequent the only decent japanese restaurant in town (Several years ago - they moved and became a truckstop restaurant later :( ), I'd try the Wasabi but never got past one bite with my sushi.....mm ebi sushi. Dang, now I'm hungry.
I used to not take wasabi as I do not like spicy food from the start, now I eat with the raw stuff by mixing a dollop in the dish of soy sauce :P Wasabi kills bacteria supposedly? Don't like the spiciness rush up the nose feeling :P I miss japanese macdonald! XP (and mos burger!)
I don't "like" washibi but I don't hate it either. I'll eat it with sushi or sashime if they come with washibi. =]
The mini-hub looks like a harmonica... LOL! And each time I've tried Japanese food, ginger and wasabi were offered. Needless to say I don't touch them (for more details, please read the mini-post on fire and horseradish)
I simply cannot imagine sushi without wasabi, I'm not fond of spicy stuff but somehow I really like wasabi and horseradish in general. As for internet I'm still on good ol' cable since my only computer for now is a desktop.
ETA mmmm half boiled egg on pizza sounds YUM hope to try that in future cookings ^O^!
"all for only 390 yen" or if you're not in Japan and have to order Toraburu from Amazon.co.jp, 3690 yen because shipping is disgusting ^^;
For my internet connections, I follow the old proverb: "Wired for desktop, wireless for laptop, nothing for girl's top."
Me is liking wasabi very much. I buy all the time wasabi based snacks like wasabi coated green peas. yummy :q
Wasabi is great. Especially with sushi/sashimi, then it's even better! I agree that it's somewhat grown on me though. But now I can't have sushi without the stuff!
I'd think with my love for spicy food and cajun seasoning, I'd be able to tollerate wasabi more. Maybe I just tried too much at once.
Can’t eat sushi / sashimi without wasabi… ever.
So I've heard that the wasabi here in the US (I'm from NY) Is just horseradish. And I've heard in Japan they use real wasabi. So whats it taste like compared to the US stuff?
I really like wasabi with my sushi. In fact, when ever I go out to eat sushi I alway need to ask for extra wasabi and even then it not alway enought for me. XD We're still using wired connection at my home, in over all, it better since there's less interference for the signal, but ever since I got my DS, I wish we had a wireless rooter. ^^;
Ah, love these " A week in Tokyo x ". The food looks delicous too. Never tried wasabi but I would probably go with it.
