Wow, the Miku Crowd is massive!! (( O _ O ))
Hatsune Miku is taking the train to Goddom. She even has her own army equipped with the latest SLRs and scopes. OMGZORZ
Wow, Miku is the new goddess in Akiba with that many followers willing do to anything for her and to her lol ;p.
Rui-chan is very cute.
That poll is just too cruel ;_; I'd shop for 30 minutes and picture for 30 minutes? :P Truth be told I guess I'd pick shopping. That Miku was so cute though....
If I was shopping for clothes or whatevr, I'd rather go take pictures of the cutesy girls... But if I were to be shopping for figures and gundam and otaku stuff... I'll pick shopping, so yea, depends on the situation...
Rui is kawaii~ *heart* i'll use my chrono ability and slow down time...it'll give me more time to take photos and shop and plenty of time to go to the airport XDDD TIEM PARADOX!!!
I'd say I'd go shopping to have some goodies to take home, as you obviously can't take the girls. But...depending on how cute the girls are, well..
"A bunch of Otaku aim their piece" So wrong, yet so funny.
It's depend on d'situation, hahah..
Nice running into you today in front of Asobit City Danny. Thanks for taking a moment to chat. I can't vote on today's poll as I usually do both!
One pic, then shop. How many pictures are you going to take if you don't have time to shop?
i'll take a picture first then go shopping. afterall taking a pic won't take long. ('~')
I will take photos of only the cosplayers and then start on shopping which is supposed to be my main purpose to be in Akiba. ^^
The poll is not fair lol. I can't choose between the two XD.
Yup, one photo or two and shopping in good measure like the others rightfully said. And if it's even not possible, full shopping mode! Rui-Chan = super cute!
To answer the question of what I would do in the last hour, I would probably go shopping. Mostly because I don't have a good camera to take pictures with. (Walks into a store and buys a camera then proceeds to take pictures).
Some how I would clone myself to do both task. ^_^
Go shopping, and THEN take pictures of the cute girls. Danny, if I ever see a stormtrooper in Akihabara, I will shout randomly to him and go ran up to him and hug him. "DANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNY!!!!!!!!!!"
Id just go shopping, girls like this get too much attention as it is. Let someone else take the pictures so I can enjoy my day (Ill just look them up on the internets laterz). Plus, If Im going shopping, Im on a mission to buy something specific. I can look at girls anytime.
id rather just go shopping. although taking pictures could be somtimes memorable by looking at them.
Whoa.... I didnt really know much about this kinda stuff, but its intresting to see how the different cultures work. You would never see this kinda thing in cities in the UK... it would be awesome to go to Japan just to see that kinda thing...
Also something you would never see around the US. Normally. At least around where I live. State Street in Madison could probably be considered a decent cultural locale as it's on the UW campus. but you're bound to find more Panhandlers than cosplayers.
Miss the plane, but do the both :) Look & take pic of the cute girls and then do some shopping :)
MAMA MIA!!!!!
I would go shopping, unless I've been shopping so much already that there's nothing new to see. :P
You have left us with a hard decision! Girls, or figures.. 3D, or 2D..
something I never understood - are males in Japan that lustful over girls? These events never occur in Southern CA (well, except for concentrated Asian areas in LA). Seriously - these people are, like, fully equipped with photo paraphernalia... for these marketing girls? And...err...STUDNETS? Are they THAT desperate?
many have said this already, but shopping takes priority over taking photos. ps. Rui looks very nice
Oh, forgot to ask... what did that Miku impersonator choose for songs and did she succeed?
If there was only one hour before my plane my money would already be gone from all of the stuff I would have already bought. This makes it an easy choice for me.
All the Otaku guys are covered in thick warm jackets looking at girls with thin top-stuff and mini-skirts... no gentleman. ^o^ I would do shopping, unless there would be some Hiroshi Tamaki about. *heart eyes* That Fist online mag seems to be something for Otakus too, considering the first few pages. And some of their sites talk to me uhh kowaii ne. +_+ It even said farwell... *runs off*
I would definitely go shopping when I have an hour before I have to leave for airport. Shopping literally all I do when I go to Japan, it's scary sometimes >.>
I went to Akihabara twice during my one week stay in Japan a couple years back, but didn't get to go on a Sunday :( Next time....next time...!
Believe it not, I been to japan 5 times (4 vacations n 1 working/photoshoot trip) but hv yet to go to akihabara. Thing is wife n 1 usually stay in Shinjuku n after one day shopping in Shinjuku or Uneo I already have a suitcase filled with figures, mags etc. hah! My last trip late last year was all in Osaka and I did buy lots of stuff at Den Den town. Kinda like akihabara I suppose, but it was a week day so it was rather quiet and no girls.
"A bunch of Otaku aim their piece." LOL. that was classic!!
kaho is getting better every year.
"aiming their piece"...you got me there :))
Chances are I would have bought everything I wanted and the only cash I would have left is needed for the train to the airport, so I'll be taking photos of the girls. But! If I still have extra cash on me... Surely it has got to be shopping for more goods!!!
kaho!!!!! gosh, she's getting prettier and prettier everyday! ^^ again...Only in japan can you see something like this. lol
Q: While I see hordes of people snappin pics OF idols and cosplayers. I seldom see people snap pics WITH them (except trooper). Is that frowned upon esp with females? I'd go shopping. That's what I did when I went. Didn't take any pics at all. Though it was late in the day.
I'd be (window)shopping. Can't bring myself to spend any cash unless I really want something; besides, I'm not into idols and cosplayers.
wow lots of people..i only see this much of people when there's a protest or strike in my country wish i was in japan ^_^
awesome !!! totally impressed by the amount of crowd....
can't i do both instead? xD
Spending your day at akihabara - you're doing it wrong. I guess i will never understand the true motivation of resident otaku to just photograph whatever schoolgirl/idol/cosplayer runs around in akihabara. Well, to every it's own.
Yojimbo2112, Was great meeting you too. helena, Folks have hobbies. D_Blade. Didnt stay long enough to find out. FatB, they usually take pics of and not with. Not frowned upon. I guess they are just shy. Lazerbeak, I'm sorry for doing it wrong.
maybe my comment came out too negative. don't get me wrong ;) what i meant was that i think that one who doesn't live in jp (i.e. me) cannot grasp why you would take your time photographing girls on the streets, when you have a whole city to explore. then again when interested in idols and doing this for a living, it's an good enough explanation :)
Taking photos of cute girls was really cool and made Akihabara even more enjoyable while I was there. I also saw a guy making a manga-like drawing of one of the girls, but I think a camera is a lot easier.
my friend looks like Rui Kiriyama! o.o
Finally made myself an account here. :D Anyway, I'd go *click click* And why does everyone seem to have a DSLR? I WANT ONEEEEEEE!!!
[ ]Take pics of girls [X]Take pics of stormtrooper [ ]Go shopping you have your fans too danny
Lately I see thinks like this on the usual freak places here in Madrid, people cosplaying like Haruhi crew, and dancing Hare Hare on street, but anyway this kind of things made even worth visit Akihabara!!
There seems to be a big invisible circle guarding the girls. What if some broke that circle?
