Anin tofu. Yum!

Still pretty much afraid of trying out Fugu unless I've got my life partner trying it together with me ^^;

Hey Danny

I don't know about raw beef, it just seems kinda wrong to put raw meat in your mouth. But that Fubu... I'm tempted, I've been told it's not really all that tasty and like you say feels like rubber.

Anyway great blog as always, hope your next week is even better. I look forward to your next stormtrooper dance video, hmm is there anyway you can fit a santa hat on that helmet ^^

I have had raw beef during one of my trips to Japan. I didn't think so much about the meat being raw, only of the texture and flavor, which surprised me at the time.

I tried raw meat, but it was a... arabic dish, turkish dish, dunno.
They mix it with soy or something.

But I had raw horse meat and some little fish you eat while still alive... Sushi restaurant on Shibuya 109... you gotta taste that Danny, and post some videos and pics later here so people will be completely disgusted. XD

Never as bad as people thinks. I liked the horse sushi and the jumping little fishes better than... the raw shrimp sushi.

I heard the only selling point of fugu is simply because its poisonous and you need it to be handled by certified chef. Hence, poison + japanese suicidal tendency = profit!

I've tried Fugu and found it pretty unique. I quite like the rubbery and slightly crunchy texture.

I also love raw beef and egg, I prefer my beef as bloody as possible ;)

Hmm... Intersting to see that japanese eat raw meet too. I've had quite a few, it's actually a fancy french meal called :'steak tartare' that involves top quality raw meat, an egg, capres and whatever else you can think of adding.

Isn't that like really bad for you? Raw Beef and Raw Eggs? But I do suppose you get more vitamins and nutrients from raw food (thanks Moyashimon!). Don't think I'll try Fugu just yet, too many stories have scared the shit out of me.
Oooooo can't wait for the new GT-R (one of my dream cars is a Gt-r 32), freaking $80,000 over here and a Nissan sales person told me they were only going to have 2 for sale at first.

You're a braver man than I for trying Fugu. I don't care how experienced or qualified the person preparing it is, I won't eat something that risky. Now, the raw beef and egg I suppose I'd be willing to try. Nothing against it. And that tofu... Why does Japanese food have to look so good?

Anyways, I know you can't do these every week, but I am definitely interested in seeing another.

Danny-O, awesome post. Like how this week showed less familiar territory with a more personal touch.

Likey raw beef, although it sometimes doesn't agree with my stomach afterwards. I'm not a teenager anymore.

Danny, Go for a bigger Screen! Projectors have their advantages, but I have to say they allow less of an option of moving around later. I have a 57" screen, its ALMOST big enough, but I know that size is optimized based on distance from the screen. What brand are you thinking of getting?

I cut a slice of steak once and ate it raw because I was curious. Ever since then I have always preferred rare steak and beef. Bloody is good. I think Im a carnivore.

Raw meat? Well, if your digestive system does not look for trouble and that bacteria don't have a party in your body afterwards (post-meal cramps, etc.), why not?

As for fugu, it's the same as for caviar... I truly am not eager to try it, I also don't see the interest in trying it. I don't think I would ever invest in that anyway or have any opportunity to try. All's well in any case.

I think I could not eat raw beef without problems as my darned digestive tract is quite a snob and has been more annoying with the years (Hopefully I don't suffer from any intolerances with that).
Thanks a lot for that part of yourselves you transmitted to me, dear parents! ;)

I think this will be a regular I'll be looking forward to reading each week here!! ^___^

Had raw beef or beef sashimi a while back. Looks like you're having some sort of (Korean?) hot stone pot where you mix the raw beef and egg in it to slightly cook it? Looks yummy.

I've always wondered how much time do you spend dusting all your figures?!?

Touch screen mini Mac coming soon for reals?!? O____o

I think I'd be more scared of trying fugu than raw beef...

What kind of commercial will you be in with Weiden & Kennedy? Or will it be for a top secret viral??

Raw beef and egg? add some shaved pear in there and you have a korean dish! The name escapes me at the moment, but it is rather nice! so, yeah, I've had that before. I'd be interested in having some fugu but I'm sure the availability and price would be prohibitive at best!!

Ooh, I love that picture of the train carriages. Since I'm slightly obsessed with trains and subways, I love it. Didn't notice that board before in Tokyo, but I probably wouldn't have known what it was for, but it's so useful. They really think it through, and since the Yamanote line is the busiest line in the world, I'm not surprised they do something like this.

I'd love to have a bigger resolution shot of that ;p
