This place is definetly on my "To Go" List. This place seems a great meeting place and it seems very comfortable and relaxing.

I'd love to visit this place.

(By the way great pictures Danny)

Love the interiors of these places.

The only time I visited Tokyo Station was during my trip back home. Had to transfer to the Narita Express from there ^^;

Just a quick question, don't these commercial buildings usually have the 'No Photography or I blast you to smithereens' sign? I remember seeing them at Tokyu Hands.. or do you secretly snap some of these pictures? :p

Too many things to see in Japan... I don't think I would go to a place where I would feel small, poor, and insignificant. XD

We had 25 days to visit Japan... MAN, we couldn't even visit some pretty famous stuff... like Asakusa-Kanon temple. T_T
At least I got to go twice to Akiba. Once with the whole family, the second time alone.
For what? Of course, to see some electronics and cellphones... NOT

Anyways, I'd probably go there if I lived in Japan. The pics are beautiful Danny!

Was there a Ginza article yet? I felt soooo sooo poor there. And so common... lacking elegance and all. :P

*Gasp* That looks awesome!

One question though, where I live you can go to nice, elegant places with nice, relaxing restaurants, but they generally charge you an excesive amount of money for food (and I'm talking about tiny portions of "fancy, but not so special" dishes)

How does that work in Japan? Was the restaurant's food way more expensive in Shin Marunoichi Building?

I remember this building while I was jumping off and on the stations on circle train line. Think it was the yamanote line? Anyhow, I hopped out of tokyo station and walked around taking pics of the surroundings. Truthfully I didn't know what this building was for, so didn't stay too long. Maybe I should have explored it a little more...

Wow, it looks fantastic there. The design and lighting inside the complex looks great. Nice to see lots of comfy armchairs to sit on too. Is this recently built? Every time ive been near Tokyo station on my trips, there has been a huge construction going on. I guess they finished it ^_^

Looks great there, though for actual shopping, it looks too swanky for the likes of me :-P

Me again - do you think you would be able to take pics this good on your Canon IXUS/ IXY?
Does it have a manual exposure time setting? I could do with a nice, small easy to use camera that can actually perform ok in low light.

Wow, absolutely breathtaking Danny~! Thanks for sharing, I'm planning to visit Japan (Tokyo mostly, but my friend will likely be teaching english elsewhere) beginning of April next year, have no money saved yet, but I'll be there if it's all I manage to save up for ^^;;
As for photo taking without a tripod, I've been looking up lenses to compliment the Nikon d40 I want to get one day, some of them have 'VR' (Vibration Reduction), Canon has IS (Image Stabilization). You can find out more here http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/image-stabilization.htm
Hope it interests you :3

I have to commute through the basement of that building every day to get to work. My building is the one behind it in the second picture. The underground connection from Yaesu Chikagai to the shin maru building is actually bigger than some airports, and I have to walk it every day :(

It is a very cool building, though the Marunouchi building next to it offers better views from the 35-36th floors which you can go up to for free!

This is one of the first places that I visited in Japan. It was a great place and I especially loved all the benches and chairs. I can never find a place to sit in Tokyo. Its seems like they purposely avoid putting anything you can rest on in public which is really inconvinient when you have time to kill.
