i might get one. my mother lovs macse
I'm more a Windows PC person than a Mac OS person. Personally I never liked the Mac OS, its hard to navagate, maybe cause I havent used it enough ^_^, but damn... I love the simple design on the Apple computers, I wished my computer looked like that. =(
very nice design, especially the keyboard, it's so stylish. Wish I can get something like that for PC. I am too use to PC to change to a MAC ^^
新しiMac ハァ━━━━━━;´Д`━━━━━━ン!!!!
father company use windows me, my bro, my father , familia use compaq, and fujitsu notebook
That keyboard looks pretty awesome! I used a Mac in college, it was the fastest way to get stories edited in time for broadcast, thanks to Final Cut Pro. Now I used my newly acquired windows enabled HP9500t, which I'm in love with.
I still have a really hard time trying to understand what’s so good about macs. Design is nice I admit that but you can get pretty much any design for your computer hardware, at least if you look outside your local electronics store. As for software, same goes. That’s most likely the problem, there’s too dam much windows software that it obscures everything I admit apple does a REALLY good job at marketing to make things look so attractive. If you’re a user who does not have time and just wants something simple that’s going to work and looks sleak then its most likely a good option . I cant do away with my PC though. I love my ubuntu & XP
Mac is evil!!! get an ALIENWARE! I have one and it would rock the socks off eny Mac user Mu ha ha ha...
Wait, what?! A terabyte hard drive. Okay, drooling now. Hmmmm, tempting alternative, but I want a laptop for my trip to Japan next year

I recently installed Ubuntu Linux after Windows XP screwed up all my profiles (after a failed Windows Update). So far I have been very happy with it, and it certainly runs a lot faster than XP. Firefox, OpenOffice, VLC and Eclipse are still available (which isn't surprising, since they are all open-source), and there is a decent equivalent for just about everything else I need.
My Ipod just went kaput so I was actually waiting for the announcement of the 6th generation Ipod at this media event...but there were no news at all ! *sob*

I am just waiting for Leopard to be released so I can finally move to a Mac. People find it very funny how I became an Apple fan without even owning a Mac. I never really liked Apple computers nor MacOS during my OS/2 days. And really, I ended up in Windows because I had to rather because I wanted to. When Steve Jobs returned to Apple and OS X started to mature, that's when Apple really got my attention. During my college days I developed an interest in user interfaces, and Apple really got my respect in how they can pack so much punch in such a relatively easy to use interface. OSX, iPod, iPhone, you name it. Numbers' free canvas approach is just wow. Are some concepts borrowed from NeXT? I would have switched already if I still had my Toshiba as a backup computer. The only thing that makes me wait right now is a supported version of BootCamp. I know I'll need it, at least until I can totally migrate. Today's announcements help me make the wait for October less even less bearable =) The only think I wish for is MacBook keys on the MacBook Pro. I guess getting the new keyboard for when I hook the laptop to the monitor will be close enough.
Seiken / VMan of Mana: About the NeXT thing - yes, the entire OS X is based off of when Steve Jobs was with NeXT. I'm a proud Apple user with 15 Macs ranging from old Mac SEs to G5s. While the iMacs look cool, I've never been a huge iMac fan due to their lack of upgradeability. As far as the keyboards go, they look amazing, but the price for the wireless one is a ripoff. Also, it's too small for me. The extended USB version looks great, but I wonder how it would hold up to abuse as the keys are the scissor-style ones instead of the plunger-style ones seen in most keyboards.
Extremely sorry for the double-post, but I forgot to mention that 10.5 received its UNIX 03 certification and can be considered a true UNIX OS instead of just UNIX-based. That means, any software written for SUS can be easily ported over to Leopard. Great news for those who prefer the *NIX OSes.
I just wish Apple had something in the iMac price range in a MacPro style. I just don't like my computer to be part of my monitor. That plus the fact I just upgraded my monitor to a flat panel a few months ago. So it will just take me a bit longer to get my Mac and dump Windows once and for all.
heh just got a macbook from the wife. She rocks!
Kubuntu (7.04) Feisty Fawn on machine 1 Windows XP on machine 2 I use Linux more than Windows... I only go on Windows to ...guess what -> games... but I dont have many games anyway...grandia 2, schoolmate, train simulator and GTA:SA lol.

The one thing I could never stand about iMacs is the forfeiture of the ability to upgrade. Like with a normal PC, you can change the CPU if you want, add more RAM, or more Hard Drives (Hoping to hit 3 Terabytes before summer ends!). Also Mac accessories can cost arms and legs, for just a keyboard its like $50 CAD. They talk about this iLife and iPhoto or whatever, personally, I couldn't care less about those programs. Some friends of mine haven't even touched that stuff since they got their macs.
i so wanted to have a Mac but as you know i'm financially handicapped/incapable ^^;;; that's why i'm going to try to dip into linux waters ^^
I'm a very happy Mac User. I'm so happy that I run a store that exclusively sells Macs in Manila. hehehe!
For all of those Windows lovers out there - remember, you can all run Windows XP/Vista on a mac via Parallels Q: Is anyone using Vista at this moment? If so, how is it? I want to upgrade - but I don't know if that's a good idea.
Apple's new keyboard is a masterpiece when it comes to design. So even though I use Windows ,I will probably buy the wired version (which has two very handy USB ports on both sides) of it. ^^ Mac OSX always interested me, but I never had the money to buy a Mac (Pro! with a huge Apple Cinema Display!) which I can use besides my Windows PC.
Both Windows based pcs and Macs has their own advantage. For starters, if you a hardcore pc gamer, obviously you have to use windows and the ability to upgrade your pc is a must for gamers. As an engineer, a lot of my engineering softwares are windows base. If you are into movie editing or other media editing, macs offers really good softwares that can make your day a lot easier. Since i own both systems, all i can say is i love both of them. My advice is, we shouldn't be dependent on one system only. Using different systems (linux/windows/macs) can be very interesting.^_^
Thinking more and more of getting a mac, but don't know yet if it would be a laptop or desktop :s
I have both at home, a mac and a PC. Spend majority of time on the PC though, since I program on the PC. I find myself using the mac to surf the web and doing some graphic stuff on it.
Mac equiptment, too expensive for me. I would love to learn how to use Mac software though. But Windows XP, happy with that for now and looking forward to one day getting my hands on Vista.
Ever since Windows XP, I have been a happy windows user. I have Vista on my laptop, its great. They made things more simplified and I like the way it works.
Happy windows user that doesn't mind trying out other OS ^^; Could add that to your poll.
Oh noes! They need to bring the all white back :( that's what I think. But the price seems interesting.
I am happy Linux (Fedora 7) user. Although I use windows for playing games... I love macs, but I have no money to fiddle with them.
I use Windows at home, but my uni has Macs with the cinema displays, which is sposed to be better for design! The only difference I've been able to ascertain so far is that you press APPLE+C instead of CTRL+C. :D That keyboard is sexy. Kind of like the apple mouses, but they don't have scrolls..
Personally, Macs are good and all, especially when we talk of pure style, but when it comes down to it, Windows is more used in school, businesses and homes, more universally accepted and a lot cheaper too.
Oh wow! So clean! Even my windows laptop with just external monitor and keyboard I have a jungle of cables running along no matter how I tidy it. Cable management is a nightmare when you want to clean each cable from the 1mm dust. When are we truly going to have true wireless environment? I thought that Bluetooth was going to changed that. sigh.
As usual, Apple have some slick stuff at their sleeve. The keyboard look cool XD.
i have only tried mac during my school life.. though it's quite a nightmare for me.. but i would still like to get exposed to macs in later part of my life..
I still prefer PC (or mac pro), and for an OS I prefer Linux, but since I'm a lazy gamer I tend to run WinXP :$
I've always liked macs and still want to get one but i'll most probably still have a windows machine for games n stuff
Still using Windows despite having bugs here and there. The over-advertisement of Mac-related goods, as if they're a divine embodiment of Zeus and Abraham Lincoln trying to forcefully cram their ideology into your noggin', had shun me away from using a Mac.
I could never let go of my PC when it comes to my main home computer, but I'd love to get a MacBook for use on the go.

agreed, I don't think I'll ever move away from windows (although I really don't like vista) but I'd be happy to use a macbook if I needed a system on the go. Problem is, I don't need a system on the go!
Slim n Sexy
Macs are wonderful! Ease of use, if you have a problem its easy to get resolved, even on your own, NO SECURITY PROBLEMS, I still kick myself for wasting all those years working on a PC. I know people must be left to their own devices and make their own mistakes, but heres one you can correct. Throw away your outdated, mundane PC and receive a gift from GOD in the form of a Mac. P.S. I started working for Apple two months ago! But I'm not biased!
I *had* a brand new iMac (that I got like a month or two ago) but now this thing is coming out!!! Arg! I loved The Mac OS, and it only took me half a seccond to switch from using windows (my old computer) to using Mac. My only concerns with the new design are the keyboard (it looks nice, but it seems like it will handle like a laptop key board, which I hate) and that they are releasing it (I've heard) without the new OS that comes in October...
I bought my first MacBook Pro in November last year and I got the wireless keyboard to go with it. I is a good keyboard but the keys are a little spongy and the case easily captures the crumbs of my snacking. The new wireless keyboard looks pretty good but I think I'm going to go with the USB keyboard this time. I need to be able to connect it to a KVM switch that I'm about to buy.... I will eventually buy iLife because I really do like iMovie and I'm starting to play with GarageBand but I use Aperture for my photo management. The other product I'm going to buy rather soon is the new AirPort Extreme. They finally added Gigabit Ethernet ports. Along with the USB port this is going to turn the Airport Extreme into a useful NAS enabling device. IMO, if you're going to use Time Machine, when Leopard is released, you're going to need an effective NAS.
When it comes to design, Apple really knows their stuff. I love the new design on the iMacs and the keyboard. I'm not sure though how it feels to be typing on that keyboard. And the price is a bit too high. I've worked with a Mac here in the office for about a month but eventually I switched back to using Windows since I'm more efficient at it. I do have to agree that you have to tweak some things around to get Windows up and running like you would want it to be. Now if only we could get that kind of hardware design and put windows as the OS for that. :D
I would still pick PCs over Macs, mainly becuase I'm so use to the Windows OS. But I want to try out a Mac since I never really used one, that'll be another year since I just bought my Fujitsu.
aiming to get a mac. pc only good if you're gaming. =x
i ve been waiting for it since fews months, now.... it is totally georgious. The money is ready for it Muhahahahah :O)
mac has so less wires and thingys!!~ but still fi a mac dies out its very troublesome -.-" (does to a situation of: time to get a enw one) while window--> jsut take some parts out and buy a new one still i dun like the mac window even though i have been using for many days during class--> still prefer window (if window won't keep crashing/ messing up with registry) ... predicament~

Looks great, sure. But still doesn't offer me something different I already get with Kubuntu Linux. I've been a happy Linux user for more than 2 years, I'm not going back to Win nor switching to Mac.
I've been planning on getting an Macbook, seems like they really can help me do some videos and whatnots.
I really like the look of these, but the graphics cards suck (Radeon 2400, 2600, 2900) which is bad for me, since I'm quite a proactive Mac gamer. Otherwise looks pretty good.

Incredible, the new release of mac, and i like too the keyboard.. (L)__(L) =D
When I get the money I will go out and buy the newest mac..been with pc too long lol.
it does look good. You should add into poll, a happy bi-user-mac-and-pc LOL. As web designer/developer, I have to use both and used them without prob.

A happy Windows XP and 98SE user which never have much problem with virus/crash etc except fixing other user's problem as my part time job. Windows usually behaves nice to me yet there are lots of nasty software around messing Windows stability (some stupid open source included). A long time ago ,I like Mac over Windows until Mac OS X come out. The only stupid Windows for me is Windows Me. Yet, I don't like Vista too much. I have tried some Linux, yet all Linux do not behave "correctly" in my computer despite much efforts (inviting Linux experts here included). I had worked with Linux on another computers yet all Linux did not behave on my computer.
