Shot the day after Tokyo Dance Trooper in Harajuku. The above shot is of Hector and I harassing, erm, I mean dancing with some school girls. Video after the jump.

Didnt really plan this one too much and just went to Harajuku to see what would happen.
Hector was Vader while I wore the trusty ol trooper armor. After watching this vid, you can get yourself along to Hectors site to see the "behind the scenes" video and photos.

This time round, we brought along some portable speakers so that people who were dancing with us could actually hear the music. In the Dance Trooper video, only I could hear the music on the iPod ^^;

You can also see in Hectors video that we were actually dancing (or attempting to) to the same Earth Wind and Fire "lets groove tonight" tune. Didn't want to have the same soundtrack in the final video so replaced it with a tune that had the same tempo.

If you want to share this video, you can find the embed code at YouTube.
I got a message yesterday from Lucasfilm regarding the Tokyo Dance Trooper video... ...(more)

Look forward to more of such activities

Really Hector was not doing that bad. That kid in the red shirt could carry a beat if it had handles on it. ^^; I love the two girls they where great! ^o^ What's with the girl and Hector, was he trying to get a little bump going on. ^_-

Great stuff as always Danny!

Danny, trying this out would be funny if it could work - go some place outside where there are lots of people like you did in the Dance Vader video. Then stand very very still for a while and wait for people to come up and see if you're real. Then boo! scare their pants off! It'd make a funny video if it would work...

Has been a long time since I checked your blog Danny! I've been computerless and working like hell for the last few months. Your blog has changed so much, it's truly awesome.

As for the video:

Go Danny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should try out for: "So You Think You Can Dance?" here in the US, or at least "Dancing with the Stars". You have now proven that you are an elite Stormtrooper. At least wear a colored trooper shoulder pad to show you're no ordinary trooper, lol.

It's great to see how a Stormtrooper and Darth Vader can bring smiles on everyone just like that.
People should be less stressed in their lives, really.
Really funny video as always.

Anyway... I was wondering why you didn't dance with the Vader costume. don't tell me it is less flexible or something like that.
I guess we'd all like to see you going up to the challenge: To dance with the Vader armor!

Chances are that Id probably get arrested while trying to get on the London Tube system but hey, all the more reason to go out & make a tit of myself.

so thank you danny for inspiring me & I shall make a video of it & put it up on you tube also :)

Haha - ace!

A dancing Darth doesnt look too great though - I just see a black shape bobbing around. He doesnt 'read' as well as a white stormtrooper when he dances. Hector needs to invent a new dance for Vader that makes good use of his shilouette.
Quite strange as it was mostly 'gaijin' who were dancing with you. Couldnt you get any cosplayers or loligoths in on the act? You did go on a Sunday, right?

Love the electro moves on that one bit. Need to do more body popping!

Woulda loved to see a video of you walking down Takeshita street (at the end) - that place is rammed full of people!
