I was most surprised to wake up to a mail from member xjaymanx and seeing this gorgeous piece of work. While I have an image of what I envision Kako to be in my mind, this was the first time for me to see a visual representation of what she could look like. xjaymanx's site has other color variations and the larger version. Thank you xjaymanx!
xjaymanx's work has reminded me that Azamiyuko and I should start to work on the character design for Mirai's younger sister who is at the moment called "Kako". Her name will probably change though as some Japanese folks thought it was odd to call her "Past" (Mirai means "Future"). The setting of Mirai and her sister does not change and you can read about it when I announced her anime ^^;
Mirai's sister will be rather moe and loli and I am currently going through manga and anime series to choose an image of what she should look like. If you have an idea of what Kako should look like, let me know. I'll probably end up choosing bits and pieces of different characters.

If she is gonna have any crying scenes or if she cries at all...Have her cry like Luna did in Seto no Hanayome episode 8 at the end of the concert battle =] Now thats moe.

Nice art, but she sorta looks like Hina Ichigo? Anyway, gotta self advertise. I'm doing anime art too, but i've just started. Go take a peek at my DA account. @Danny, i'll be glad to help in anyway possible if it's drawing anime girls lol. The mirai design is good.

Ne, Danny, I think it would be great if Kako-chan will looks and acts like Tsubasa Shibahime from "Kare Kano" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kare_Kano). It seems to me she's character would perfectly fit for Kako-chan. She is cute, "dzutto genki" and just a bit "kawaisou".

Kako in that picture looks abit like Hina Ichigo from Rozen Maiden. I'd recommend looking at Kodomo no Jikan if you are looking at loli characters.

I chose 11. I just felt that 12 is too old for her and mostly when one reacher the age of 12 they are not that innocent anymore. I didn't opt for 10 since that's too young for me either. I'd be nice if she was somewhere in between. XD

Thanx for the kind words everyone! :) I must admit the Rozen Maiden influence for my template, lol. But whether it's debating her final evolution, or stirring further fanart, I'm just passing on the creative inspiration. :) P.S. Danny, since half the poll results favor age 12, that might work well, especially if 12 carries a special meaning linked to the mysterious "Twelve Sorunians" or as I'd like to call them, the "Twelve Shadows of Time". Hehe.
