If you've got 54,000 yen lying about then you may (or may not) be interested in this 30CM tall wooden Gundam. Could come in handy when you are out of firewood I guess ^^;

It is unique enough that... yeah I probably would buy it. Well... maybe I'd buy it second hand, or perhaps at a yard sale in 20 years.

well done, but not worth the prize.

i would consider buying one if it was much bigger, to paint it, but i'm not too sure about the details...

54,000 yen!! 54,000 yen!! Man alive, I must say, as awesome the concept of a wooden Gundam is, 54,000 yen is a very steep price. I would understand if it was 2 meters, tall, but its only 30 cm!!

It's nice and creative, but If they hope to sell it for that much, they better work on the details. The head is really nince, but everywhere else needs work, expecially the sheild details, and the front skirt armors...

Also, If you happen to find the rare metal RX-78 model kit, then it is usually somewhere around 400-600 us dollars. This wooden one almost costs as much and doesent even look as cool!

It's as it has been said, rather expensive and you'll also have to worry about termites and stuff...so all in all, it's not worth it...

It looks great, but as bolt says, you can't play with it (neither you can with the paper version and they are just made to be looked at, maybe turned in all directions, but that's that).

It's an outstanding (understand "excessive") price for a Gundam-related item. Perhaps this is due to the wood type?
I would pass on this too...

When it's termite season in my place, that USD444.32 Gundam is nothing more than exotic Pringles for these unwelcomed guests.

I guess if the platinum model was out of your price range ^^. Maybe they should concentrate on the next new master grade model instead of making these ^^;.

Wow, thats impressive, i mean all the figures i see these days are brilliant, and the detail is amazing, but to make something with that much detail out of wood, i feel that is really amazing ^_^

Thats one expensive paper weight

I understand it's that expensive because it's hand-carved. And just think, 100 years ago in the days before the First World War, this would have been the only kind of Gundam toy! Well, maybe you could have got a wind-up one made of tin.

Seeems like most of us don't really like the idea of a wood gundam.
Oh, come on!
Protect the forests, hyeah!
I mean, if people like it, then huge demand of wooden model kit will lead to forest destruction..oh no!
Wait, maybe I'm thinking too much

its an amazing peice of woodwork and although i think it looks great and must have been very difficult to construct it just dosent do it for me as much as a good old plastic fantastic.
