kool i neva knew der were gundam models made out of wood hehe
first there's paper gundam and now a wood gundam, good skills though
Would be much cheaper to do it yourself ^^
Japanese sure comes out with different material solutions :-D
nah .. looks too boring .. I prefer the platinium one that was being showcased in the news though
....54,000 yen Hm.... Danny how much exactly is that?... anyway its kinda cool...(Not)
i love wood. i love gungams. would i want this? im not sure. something about it i like, something about it i dont. maybe if it had the panel lines in blak.
It is unique enough that... yeah I probably would buy it. Well... maybe I'd buy it second hand, or perhaps at a yard sale in 20 years.
well done, but not worth the prize. i would consider buying one if it was much bigger, to paint it, but i'm not too sure about the details...
54,000 yen!! 54,000 yen!! Man alive, I must say, as awesome the concept of a wooden Gundam is, 54,000 yen is a very steep price. I would understand if it was 2 meters, tall, but its only 30 cm!!
It's nice and creative, but If they hope to sell it for that much, they better work on the details. The head is really nince, but everywhere else needs work, expecially the sheild details, and the front skirt armors...
Also, If you happen to find the rare metal RX-78 model kit, then it is usually somewhere around 400-600 us dollars. This wooden one almost costs as much and doesent even look as cool!

Rather the platinum gundam (though much smaller). :)
It's as it has been said, rather expensive and you'll also have to worry about termites and stuff...so all in all, it's not worth it...
hmm.. heard of this.. good piece of art work.. but not able to play with... soooo.. naaaa
do they have metallic die-cast gundams?
It looks great, but as bolt says, you can't play with it (neither you can with the paper version and they are just made to be looked at, maybe turned in all directions, but that's that). It's an outstanding (understand "excessive") price for a Gundam-related item. Perhaps this is due to the wood type? I would pass on this too...
When it's termite season in my place, that USD444.32 Gundam is nothing more than exotic Pringles for these unwelcomed guests.
Nahhh, I'm saving up for the carved "Irish Spring" soap version! :)))
Not for me. A wooden gundam just doesn't match everything else lol.
I guess if the platinum model was out of your price range ^^. Maybe they should concentrate on the next new master grade model instead of making these ^^;.
man thats so evil why would you wanna use a work of art like that for firewood
Wow, thats impressive, i mean all the figures i see these days are brilliant, and the detail is amazing, but to make something with that much detail out of wood, i feel that is really amazing ^_^
Thats one expensive paper weight

I understand it's that expensive because it's hand-carved. And just think, 100 years ago in the days before the First World War, this would have been the only kind of Gundam toy! Well, maybe you could have got a wind-up one made of tin.
it might not be as poseable as the plastic ones, but its one rare piece of work.
Sector6, I believe they do. Windbell, True ^^;

hey danny. do u have resistance on ur ps3? if so do u play online if yes is it ok if u give me ur account name so we can play? thanks my account name is : likingwing

woody could be a novelty if it comes in sprues, like the usual gunpla.. and with different shades of wood.. (am i asking too much? :P)

Seeems like most of us don't really like the idea of a wood gundam. Oh, come on! Protect the forests, hyeah! I mean, if people like it, then huge demand of wooden model kit will lead to forest destruction..oh no! Wait, maybe I'm thinking too much
its an amazing peice of woodwork and although i think it looks great and must have been very difficult to construct it just dosent do it for me as much as a good old plastic fantastic.
i reckon thats pretty cool.. i'd buy one
