Got myself a Wild Cougar Beretta many moons back after not being able to find a socom - T'was when I had heavy Metal Gear Solid fever ^^;
These air guns are available freely to buy online and in stores throughout Japan. I think you do need to be over 18 to buy one though.

I don't own any Air Guns or Paintball Guns because most of them cost quite a bit of money. I can basically get a real gun for roughly the same price, and since I live in Florida, I can get pretty much anything as there are extremely lax gun laws here.

wow they look cool, how much does one of them cost? I bet it cost an arm and a limb. But I think that it would be difficult to buy one in Singapore w/o any form of licensing or watever since the law over here is so strict.

I would like to see air gun models of the weapons I will never get to see close up. Especially if they make special forces models.

I ordered an airsoft not too long ago too. I'm still waiting for it though. I heard that in Japan that it was illegal for airsoft manufacturers like Tokyo Marui to produce replicas with metal innards. =(

Those are some nice replicas wouldnt never want to buy one, its dangerous enough knowing the real versions exist.

I enjoy airsoft guns, but they're just no good in any amount of wind. And, honestly, I feel kind of silly buying the kind that are made to closely resemble real firearms.

If I want to get something that looks like the real thing... I'll get the real thing. But I'm fortunate enough to be in the US where we're free enough to do that (so far, anyway... Funny how the more restrictions are placed on firearms here in the name of safety, the higher the crime rate goes...). If I lived somewhere else, I might be more interested in airsoft replicas.

Danny, if you're ever in the US, maybe I can take you shooting. ^^ Lots of fun!

Mac...there is no way increasing restrictions increases the crime rate. And yeah you can buy real versions of many handguns but not automatic rifles. plus some people actually play games with them. That said i don't have any airsoft guns but I need a Steyr AUG.

I have 3 airsoft guns - a SPAS12, MP5 and a Desert eagle. None of them are particularly advanced or expensive, but its kinda wierd - i like airguns for the 'replica-ness' rather than the actual firing ability or accuracy. Guns look cool, and theyre good to hold, so its kinda like buying a life-size plastic figure of a gun...if that makes sense.

Good job these arent that freely available in the UK or US though - armed robberies a-plenty!

Philippines is the only place where airsoft is legal in Southeast Asia. The problems faced by many Southeast Asian countries is that the law concerning firearms are already dated. They do not have a proper definition for airsoft nor is there any effort to educate the public about it.

To make matters worst, some tabloid newspapers love to exploit stories about it (LOL air-powered guns that fires at 100km/h!). Nonetheless, this doesn't deter people from trying to obtain and possess them illegally, hence giving airsoft a bad reputation as a smuggled item.

Some airsoft look so real to a point where it is dangerous, I bet if you're holding one of these and pointed it to an officer, they WILL fire at you.

Now that I think back, it's funny that I've never fired airsoft before but fired real rifles (M16) ;;

I used to own a M4, i think it was a Tokyo Marui one actually but i can't remember. I was in a pinch and had to sell it on so i could get a new Graphics Card lol.

Some of my friends are heavily into airsoft, and it's a pretty fun hobby :)

I have a cute Mini-M16 and MP5 AIR-Gun & a Live sized Handgun (can't rember the model no.) which I bought from Japan. Sadly i've used up all the plastic ball pellets. Also I think some of the mechanism is spoilt... :( I wonder if I can get more pellets out from Japan?

Wow... i thought i had enough of assult rifles, P226 handgun, sniper rifle and even bazooka (We call it Armblust here) back in good old army days. But it was different feeling when i visited one of those air-guns shop at down town Kyoto last year. It was amazing. How I wish i could bring it back to Singapore but, don't want the custom office question me of being a suspect for terrorism.. :p

So far, I only own a soft-air hand gun which i got it when i was from taiwan long time ago... any buyer? ;p

Danny, high-end airsoft is a very facinating hobby. Even if you can afford a real-steel over a replica, be in mind it is a replica and made to shoot other people. It is an expensive hobby, but also a fun one. I do not know of the airsoft scene in japan, but overseas in Southern Asia, Europe, and North America there has been a boom in the past 6 years. Tokyo Marui is the pure standard of these replicas. Although many third party AEG producers are not available in Japan, such as ICS, Classic Army, KWA, and King Arms.

If you are more intrested, please check out Arniesairsoft.co.uk. It's the world's most popular international airsoft website. And if you want to see how this hobby really rolls, go on Youtube and look up OP: Irene 3 and Berget events.

i want one too especially p226 used in parasite eve. or beretta 92f in black lagoon. well, here in my country, i dun know if the gun is legal or not but 1 thing for sure it won't pass custom. last time i remember when my friend went to chine for colleger trip, they brought a lot of sword replica that they got detained by the custom thinking they are terrorist. though i dun know how they gonna think of a terror with a sword?
