My jaw dropped when I first saw this 1/7 scale figure of Kureha in this months hobby magazines and I got to meet her at the WHF. She wasnt feeling too well as you can see by looking closely at her neck - looks like her head is about to fall off! @.@ Or maybe somebody tried to steal her head?

For the 50% of you that voted for figures the other day - I actually wonder if there is any of you who doesn't like this figure.
Her pose, detail and facial expression kinda takes your breath away does it not? A therapeutic figure? Not familiar with the Shining Tears series though.
If only I could do a Hiro Nakamura and freeze time - that figure would be gone in an instant ^^;

More tomorrow but in the meantime dont forget to check out Shingo's coverage of WHF too.

wow, now that's one pretty pvc figure... can't see much of the painting quality from your photos but it seems to be fine... well, except for the almost decapitation O___o! can't they stick her head on properly? >.

Cute figure of Kureha. About Shining Tears X Wind.... I don't recommend it, I saw the first two episodes and was really bad the only thing I liked was the character design but the story of what I saw was bad really bad. Well that's my opinion.

Definitely getting this. I'm a Tony Taka fan, the artist, and this it's an original design, unlike many of his recycled characters.

Wow, this really is an incredible figure. I'm not even really sure WHY... but it is, indeed, breathtaking, and I want it.

I really don't like buying figures for a production I'm not familiar with. Naturally, though, the solution is to familiarize myself. Time to seek out the game!

That's a very nice figure. Her left leg seems rather funny though, I think it's the pose or something.

If you could do a Hiro Nakamura, help us go back into time and strangle the artist to get that head fixed! Could also meet your former self!

Save the Kureha, Save the world ^___^

Great looking figure. I would get it if she were more "happy" looking. To me she looks like she's either day dreaming or something or mad and will pull out her bow to prove it. Can't wait for the rest.

It's a nice figure but Kureha is not one of my favourite characters from Shining Tears x Wind.

The anime is special in that it's SO BAD that it's GREAT. It's exactly like an RPG, which makes you realise how stupid most RPGs really are.

Now that is a nice figure, it really is very nice ^_^ The pose is really good, and the colours and detail look really good.

I will definately put her on my "to buy" list, but for me, the best figure i have ever seen is still Mirei =D

I was just wondering, out of curiosity, where would be the best place in Akihabara to buy the "Ghost In The Shell : Motoko Kusanagi 1:6 (pre painted)" figure? because i really want that, and i figured i would get it on my trip to japan, i just hope it doesnt weigh too much for when i return...

When I was scrolling through the WHF coverage on here and Moeyo, this didnt particularly catch my eye, but now ive got a good look at it, its superb. Great posing, colours, costume design and the work on her face and hair is excellent. All very subtle.
Very nice figure. Non non and Mirei are still top o' my list though!

Mmm, she's definitely alluring :)

However, before throwing down hard cash, I typically like to be fond/familiar with the character already (via anime, manga, etc.)... Like u, not familiar with the Shining Tears game; I believe the platinum-haired Blanc Neige is also from that game, haven't ordered her either for the same reason.

But perhaps in a black/white gothloli wardrobe, she'd have a MUCH better chance :)

I must admit to being a lurker at your site for quite some time now. I found out about it via your friend's website, akihabaranews.com. Really liked the videos you two do/did together, I hope we'll see more of them!

Anyhow, I'm not that into figures (yet!) although I've been pondering buying a few quite often, especially Mirei-san, Sera-chan and MF's Haruhi. So tonight when I had this urge to shop something I started to look for Haruhi again and began browsing some random figure/hobby stuff sites. I immediately saw Haruhi's familiar face in the pillar for "new in stock", but maybe more importantly I saw the face of this figure. Draw my attention completely. What a fabolous figure she is! So yea, I had to check if you'd written something about her and here I am...

Totally gonna get this, that's for sure. Remains to be seen if it'll be my first ;-)

PS. Glad to know I'm not the only one getting hyped about this!

Hey, where can I get this Kureha figure? I have never bought an anime figure but this one is so beautiful I want to start my collection with this. I did a little browsing on ebay.ca and they say it wont be released until the end of september, so where can I get it here when that happens? Im guessing that if I order it from asia the duty will be very high.

Thanks for all the figure reviews you post, I spent hours watching them all.

I've ordered mine from HLJ.com but apparently they're out of stock now and doesn't seem to be reordered either, since it's listed as discontinued. I believe that other sites like toyslogic should have it though.

According to their homepage (HLJ) they've shipped mine and it should arrive within a week or two. We'll see. Can't wait... ;)
