WHF Coverage starts now with just under 100 photos - IE users will experience blurring as the page loads - just click through and go and get a cuppa tea or something while waiting.
As always, am going to split coverage into a few parts over the next few days.
The lighting was quite dark compared to previous shows and had a hard time getting good shots - either need to read up more on how to use my camera, get a new lens or a new camera...
BTW, didnt add blurbs to the photos because I know that you know your stuff. But ask if there is anything you cant identify (and feel free to answer ^^;)

Update: There was a slight bug in the galleries where photos from the previous WHF were showing up instead - fixed now.

Totally forgot about the event until a few days before so t'was too late to get my press pass. Did not fancy queuing up and arrived at about 12.30PM where I was able to just walk in.

Damn what happened with those Haruhis? Such volume in those hips it makes her out of proposotion and takes away her beauty. Danny I think you should put something like a 18+ zone in your website, because you keep censoring those images and some of us would like to see them uncensored. I don't wanna look pervert (echi) but I'm an art lover and would like to see how those parts of the bodies are sculpted and painted.

Normally I'd want to pick up some of the Haruhi ones, but I have to agree with CrazyAnimeTuga, those hips just don't look right.

As for the poll, I haven't been to any figure conventions, but I've been to a few Star Trek conventions. Does that count?

Some great photos as usually Danny! I'm really looking forward to going to more events and taking photos.

I've taken photos at past figure event, but never got the results I had wanted. One really needs to live in Japan and go to events regularly to improve one's photo skills. I'm wondering if bracket exposures or a flash with a defuser, on a off shoe cable would help? Did Eddie use a flash on his Nikon? Sorry...getting carried away with photography stuff.

I wish I had such a nice cup to drink PG Tips... ^o^

I must be getting out of touch, some figures I don't know. It's hard to keep up on everything... I do see plenty of figures I can't live without! ^o^

Looking forward to your other photos...

Is it because you're a guy that we don't really see any of male characters, or do they just not make any cool figures of guys?

I'm a girl who's not really interested in "bazooms" and painful wedgies (they're cool figures, but I don't want to bring them home). ^_^; Is there anything I'm missing?

Good Job on the coverage! Seems like a brilliant event, I'm going to an event pretty soon, the London MCM expo. While it is not as grand scale as some of Japans events it is still great fun and I can get many a figure (I have plans to get at least 3 figures of Ayanami Rei).

Steph,
Hardly any guy figures at this event - got many guy pics in previous event coverage though.

Andy,
The monkey is in the living room with the other plush toys ^^;

Tiny Red Man,
Which photo ID?

Zeroblade,
My camera took those pictures without me knowing.

Noobie, GundamZZ
Her name is on the tip of my tongue ^^; Will let you know when I remember.

Bolt,
Your guess is as good as mine.

Edward,
Nice to see your WHF avatar.
Eddie didnt use a flash AFAIK.

Leo,
StarTrek? not sure ^^;

Crazy Anime Tuga,

some of the figures look a little bit unenjoyably obese.

I just wonder: are the japanese figure designers try to reshape the people's taste to fatty, or just they were very into it?

Yeah, PG Tips, one of the most popular tea in England. Thank God one of my local supermarket actually imported that tea from England to here. And they are just selling $3.50 for those 40 counts pyramid teabag per box. I used to drink it everyday, with condensed milk or light cream together with sugar. Try to make it tastes like the HK milktea, my favorite drink you know. Once you tried the PG Tips, there is no turning back. All those Lipton tea bags and the others sold in here for the US market taste like junk! But lately, my local supermarket also carry another popular British tea called 'Typhoo' with round teabags. Once I tried it, I like it even more than the PG Tips. I am not kidding. Typhoo tea tastes even stronger than PG and when you mixed it with milk and sugar, the taste is irresistible. So, Danny, I highly recommend you to try Typhoo at least once and then desired for yourself. I doubt Japan have Typhoo available, so ask your British friend to get it for you or let me know and I can send some for you.
