This most coolsome RX-93-2 Hi-νGUNDAM is...

Made entirely out of paper! I've seen some paper gundams in my lifetime but this is just amazing.
June-san spent 3 years developing this paper kit and you can see more at his blog under the Hi-νGUNDAM category. June-san may have a booth at the next RX-79(G)GUNDAM paper kit cost 4,000 yen.

Speaking of Gundam, I have a confession to make... I fell (very) sick the day that I was due to go to Shizuoka for the Gunpla Expo and dont think I will be able to make it this time round. Gunota-san found a few sites covering the Expo so check em out if you are interested.
I do plan to be at the Shizuoka Hobby Show 17th May however and as long as I dont get sick again then I will be able to bring back the Gundam goodness.
If you have 50,000 yen lying around on your living room floor that you keep tripping ov...(more)

It looks too good to be made of paper, i mean the craftsmanship and details are better than most people can do with the initial MG kit.

Nice... I would really like to build this kit! I wonder if this will be available outside of the show? Looked on his blog, but didn't find if he had a distributor...

A local shop has both the RX-78 and Zaku paper kits. Now I have an urge to buy both and get to work!

Curse you microorganisms! Poor Danny. Hope you feel better.

I was going to complain about how the suspense of seeing your Mirei-chan is likely to make me pop, but since finding out you're sick, I feel guilty for that "almost".

Anyway, Linus Pauling would tell you to drink plenty of OJ. But... yeah....

I want one! I recently discovered the Hi-NU Gundam and it's become one of my favorite gundam designs. I like it better than the first version. Is there any mention on the scale/size of his paper kit? I have the 1/30 scale kit of the RX-78 and Char's Zaku. I've only completed the RX-78 but it's the biggest gundam in my collection and I love it, my summer project this year is to work on the Zaku. I have no skills at reading Japanese so is there anywhere to order this or info on the sizze and price? Thanks agian for tempting us with more gunpla

"I can't believe it's not plastic!" ^^

It's very nice for pieces of paper assembled together.
Is that some kind of special material related to inkjet paper? I don't think it would be the thin type.

Danny, don't overexert yourself. Health comes first! Hope you will be better soon.

(ID #47280) Posted on 2007/05/02 12:43
It is impressive you can get the correct folds without any error and still display the right amount of crease or pressure in this case to create that cool subtle effect for Gundam's armor.

I wonder what type of paper was used.

This is awesome..I can honestly say this is better than the MG Hi-V that Bandai had just released recently...

also I remember the cover for the Gundam Sentinel book had an EX-S that was made out of paper...it was mostly the upperbody of it but it looks awesome enough to do it...this has inspired me to actually do some work on this...can someone post a link if there's any more of this type of projects out there...
