So this Gundam is made out of paper? Regular paper we use everyday? =0
It doen't even look as though it's made of paper.

It looks too good to be made of paper, i mean the craftsmanship and details are better than most people can do with the initial MG kit.
nice~ when will the paper kit be released? or anyone has a blueprint? lol
Nice... I would really like to build this kit! I wonder if this will be available outside of the show? Looked on his blog, but didn't find if he had a distributor... A local shop has both the RX-78 and Zaku paper kits. Now I have an urge to buy both and get to work!
Curse you microorganisms! Poor Danny. Hope you feel better. I was going to complain about how the suspense of seeing your Mirei-chan is likely to make me pop, but since finding out you're sick, I feel guilty for that "almost". Anyway, Linus Pauling would tell you to drink plenty of OJ. But... yeah....
dear gundam frens, i tried other types of paper craft the easy easy ones but still cannot make one nice n perfect one ... This Hi-nu gundam papercraft sure not an easy thing to do .. sure get fed up while doing this !! (=..=")
I want one! I recently discovered the Hi-NU Gundam and it's become one of my favorite gundam designs. I like it better than the first version. Is there any mention on the scale/size of his paper kit? I have the 1/30 scale kit of the RX-78 and Char's Zaku. I've only completed the RX-78 but it's the biggest gundam in my collection and I love it, my summer project this year is to work on the Zaku. I have no skills at reading Japanese so is there anywhere to order this or info on the sizze and price? Thanks agian for tempting us with more gunpla
I once tried to make a VF-1 paper model... I failed miserably :(

Awesome, not just the model, but the developer' determination to design the kit as well.
Now that would be a fun kit to make. Question for ya Danny. I know your busy with your company and this site, but I was just wondering if there's any plans to allow us to add Otavids from sites other than Youtube, like Veoh.com
NO SHI~! O.O that's made out of paper! O.O now that's taking origami to the extreme levels ^^
I'm still on my RX-71 Paper Head.

looks cool 4 a paper model .... Id like 2 C one in real life though!!
O_o This is nice, really nice! I'd like to see one for real! But ias soon as i get the possibility, i'll get one! .:G:.
I'd imagine you're feeling worst from not going to the gunpla expo than your readers. ^^ I hope you're feeling better and get well soon Danny. btw would you happen to know of any site that sells June-San's online?
erm... looks like I just had a bout of dyslexia... lol. what I meant to say, would you happen to know of any site that sells June-San's paper Gundams online.
its that what i think it is?! how can paper became something like that?!! some please punch me in the face!!! lol :D truly, it's a masterpiece.
wow dat looks real!!
"I can't believe it's not plastic!" ^^ It's very nice for pieces of paper assembled together. Is that some kind of special material related to inkjet paper? I don't think it would be the thin type. Danny, don't overexert yourself. Health comes first! Hope you will be better soon.
hmmm i wonder which is tougher to constuct ... one of out paper or a perfect grade
whoa, awesome points of articulation! very sleek!
Hi Nu gundam, sexy. Must have but i rather have it as a model kit
Holy Shiese! >_> Doesn't look like paper to me... mass props to anyone who can make that!

It's about time people noticed this kind of gundam colecting, and Danny this site is not the only one that show's gundam style paper models. there's plenty more, like the K.O.G. and thing's like that.

I'd love to find out where we can buy that kit!
Wow, I couldn't tell it was made out of paper until you told me. This is an awesome looking gundam, maybe I will switch over to paper gundams^-^. Hope you feel better.
that looks awesome! now if they can making these in perfect grade that would kick ass!!! ---------- Off topic: Danny does Mirai have a genki mode? lol I cant remember hearing about it & i was just curious :) if not would it be possible to have some pics drawn up of this cutie? :)
I tried doing an SD RX-78 paper model, but it's hard!!! It's still waiting on my desh, waiting to be completed...someday...maybe...
Danny, take it easy... I'm still getting over this garbage I have now, and it's partly from pushing too hard. From a fellow push hard workaholic... You can't do everything in one day; you will need two day to do it all! ^_-
They almost have a kinda 3D rendered feel to them o_o; If you're not already feeling better by now, feel better soon Danny o_o;/
like the colors
Take care Mr danny, don't overwork yourself!
All, Feeling better now thanks. Hayden, Genki mode? Her smile versions are genki by default ^^ BotB, Marvin, Edward, Konstrain, I will ask him and let you know. Gorgo, Not sure about the T-shirts you asked about orz. Leo, No plans yet. Gorblatt, I think its 1/60. Tall Baka, Probably cardboard.
I wonder if I can prime the paper and do custom paint on it??????

It is impressive you can get the correct folds without any error and still display the right amount of crease or pressure in this case to create that cool subtle effect for Gundam's armor. I wonder what type of paper was used.

This is awesome..I can honestly say this is better than the MG Hi-V that Bandai had just released recently... also I remember the cover for the Gundam Sentinel book had an EX-S that was made out of paper...it was mostly the upperbody of it but it looks awesome enough to do it...this has inspired me to actually do some work on this...can someone post a link if there's any more of this type of projects out there...

It's a fantastic model and it's some time that I'm looking for it... If it is not a problem for you, can you tell also to me if the model can be available?

hye danny. amazing paper gundam. if posibble kan u give the file then i can print it and make mine?? :D :D tQ

Wow!!! That's so amazing. Is that real? I mean from piece of papers? It's so unbelieveable. I want it. I really really want it. Anyway, how can I buy it? Or maybe where I can dowload it? Please...

I'm stunned... Has this awesome Hi-v papercraft been released? Is there a way to purchase this paper kit? Thank you very much!
Incredible Hi-Nu - No better choice for a 3 year design project in my opinion. This is really slick...
LOL, me take time to build a paper gundam? Impossible... i'll probably just waste my 4,000 yen and accidentally burn the paper or something...
It's really paper?!?! Just from the pictures i figured it was plastic. That's very very cool for a paper gundam, impressive
it took 3 years for that guy to create it and it only costs 4000 yen? well its the other model but isn't it too cheap? p/s: papercraft gundam : masterpiece
I tried this one before, and it came out not so crisp. I will most likely try it again soon though since it is a good substitute for the gunpla which is about $80. Heres a good site for anyone interested in papercraft, has some easy ones for begginers. http://papercraft-world.blogspot.com/
That's pretty detailed for a paper-made Gundam ^^ I don't think I'll make something like that though... I'll break it easily since my hands aren't really good for such things.
OUTSTANDING job...
Very nice, I must say but once that touches water....
oh how i envy the artist who did that.....but to look at it objectively, he really had patience and perseverance, and it paid off....definitely a master-piece.
This item never ceases to amaze me.
Pretty nice Gundam design, but I am looking forward to them doing something a bit more original.
That guy must be very patient to make that thing for 3 years....-_-
I happen to have the hi-res pdf of this paper model. It seems that they model the gundam in a 3D software and later convert it to paper schematics through a 3D paper software. I've seen paper projects on Portal.
lol. I forgot you have last year's post on and started to panic when I saw my past post. ^^ thought that someone had hack into my DannyChoo.com account and started to comment using my name. ^^;
LOL.
Wow, awesome. Some people can make really nice stuff with paper, though 3 years is alot of time. I would def build one if I could.^^;
I have some papercraft collection and i printed it on a 81/2 x 11" photopaper. It gives the glossy exterior after production.
danny hope u're feeling better, watched moyashimon ? hahaha
I used to make a lot of paper kits. But I found that they kept falling apart and the color starting to fade out after a year so I gave up. ='(
wow. I'm not that into mecha and I want one...
Qool
Beautiful... this is a great alternative for people who have trouble building model kits.
awesome, i want it, where to print out?
wow this ones great..but sadly it cant move or pose exactly and not as detailed as teh model was..but really this one reallly needs a hardwork and sheer creativity to pull out this one, very great artwork for a paper im really impressed
hehe, if I tried to do this...well...lets just say...after about a week, I'd have torn up all the paper and burned it...Amazing that it all fits and you can stay with it for so long. But that just might be an attraction to Gundam...hm...
This is Amazing!
