Always wondered what a Stormtrooper would look like with Vaders head. Know I know ^^;
Keeping it short today as I leave for Akihabara in a bit to bring you coverage of something interesting ^^.
But I do have an off-topic question re your browser of choice. I can see browser stats in my log but that includes casual visitors (users who come/getbored/leave) - I'm interested in knowing what browser regular readers choose. I personally use Firefox but QA in Safari and remote access into a windows machine to do QA on IE6/7 and FF.

I'm not too sure what to think about that Vader/Stormtrooper pic. ^^; As far as browsers go, I use Camino on my main G4 (and all my mac laptops), Safari on my G5 WAP, and Firefox on my XP machine and Linux boxes. I also have Opera in case I need to do some browser testing, but I refuse to use IE.

As for me, I use IE7. Most compatible with all websites and no hassles. Used to be Firefox user but was disappointed when all my favorites got erased not once but twice!

I also use opera sometimes.

I wonder what it looks like the other way around! (Vader body N' cape with a stormtrooper head).

I use Internet Explorer 7 these days. Very rarely is it ever cranky, and the tab feature is really nice; I don't have to open and close windows like mad anymore.

If I'm OS X, I use Safari.
If I'm on Linux, I use Konqueror (which has the rendering engine Safari was based on).
If I'm using Windows, or I'm doing web development, I also use Firefox.

Under no circumstances do I use Internet Explorer except to see how badly it mangles my code.

I used to be a FireFox user but changed when IE7 came out. I totally prefer IE7's pop-up blocker compared to FFs which is the sole reason for the change. When FFs popup blockers can come close to IE then I might go back again to FF.

Btw, vader's helmet seems a tad bit too big for the stormtrooper suit. heheh :D

I prefer and use Firefox were possible. Unfortunately, the majority of people I have to support use IE because it came with their OS. I've only gotten a few to switch and they don't like change.

And yes, my head hurts due to me pounding against my desk in frustration after (and sometimes during) a support call

I choose Firefox as my defoult web browser. It has some feature that are too nice to let them go, like the tab navigation.
But most of all, is for the plug-in that can be installed on it:
Dawnload manager, video downloader, ftp services... and many others!
I think is an amazing web browser that have lots of potential.

I used Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer at first. They were very unreliable (maybe that was because of the connection -dial-up?-).

As soon as I switched to Firefox, I never gave up on it. The tab function and the security features are enough to tell why it is my browser of choice.
I sometimes use IE7 (to browse certain pages that Ffx can't, or to access my e-mailbox easily).
Maybe I don't like IE much anymore because I was I was traumatized by bugs in the 5 and 6 versions and even if IE7 uses Ffx's interface...

Anyway...
To comment on your picture, I would be more eager to see what a Stormtrooper helmet would do on Darth Vader's armor. I also am sure you'd walk rather clumsily like it, given the size of Vader's helm. :p

Considering I fit the criteria of your "casual visitor" fairly well, here's my two cents (or should that be two Yen?): Opera. Still the fastest and most stable, though FireFox has more widgets. Very nice site by the way - clean and sharp, though I preferred your earlier design.

By the way, what about Shiira ? I would love to use this browser as my default browser but too much bugs to fight against the big ones :s

I currently use IE 7 together with the extension IE7pro and Proxomitron as a script filter. Though if I would still use one of the older editions of Windows I'd avoid using this browser because it's way too easy to damage/infect your system by clicking on the wrong links.

On Vista it's a different story. It's not like the application itself is less buggy or more secure than IE on Windows XP SP2 (or older), but it's running with low access rights and there are only very few folders IE can write files in directly without the user's permission. So even if there is an exploit, the harm that can be done to the system without the user's consent is fairly limited (,if you use the browser's default settings and don't turn off UAC that is ^^'')

That said, until a few days ago I was using Safari (Windows) and I liked it a lot, but after using it for a few days there were some oddities (bugs?) that made me stop using it. For example it suddenly didn't accept any more cookies for no reason. Well, I guess I will try it out again in a year or so and hope that the Windows version will have received a little bit of fine-tuning by then.

My favorite browser on Linux is Konqueror, but Opera and Firefox aren't bad either.

One other thing about firefox is that the memory usage/consumptions are a bit high and can sometime cause serious slow down on the whole PC.

FF in general. Safari, IE6 and IE7 for QA especially with stylesheet although I also use Safari on my iphone.

I hate IE6 with a passion >.> when doing web design/development with css but can't really ditch it yet since a lot of users still use it -_-

Hmm... I use Firefox 2.0, IE7 and IE6 equally because of different environments I keep on my PCs -- not all of them are capable of running a VM or two :)
Answered I use Firefox as may "browser of choice" though...

By the way, I heard the guy, who makes these Star Wars costumes is being sued by Lucas Films this time in Britain...
Never heard of them making these things, why bother then? He did not want share, probably...

firefox when at home and most of the time. unless a site is being an arse refusing firefox. I have IE for backup to use in school since the server there blocks free internet by using a proxy so IE7 has my custom settings :P

btw, I was plagued by IE several years back from virueses, reg hacks, etc. that I learned nooks and crannies of computers out of desperation :| until IE gets uber-secure, ff is the way to go.
