I remember when Soukou no Strain first came out. Was branded as a Bishojo Mecha spectacle which sounded to me like just another package to make money from otaku.
It wasn't until recently however that I started to watch it - ended up being glued to it and just finished watching the last episode yesterday.

I'm not going to talk about the plot at all as I'm lousy at it but what I can tell you is that this anime has a strong story line revolving around why the main characters brother turned evil. Each episode follows well on from the previous. The rendering of the CG mecha is great as can be expected. The animation can get a bit rough from time to time but the story keeps you coming back for more so it doesn't bother you that much (what does bother me is the anime version of Death Note lately - the rough animation really does bother me!) The orchestral background music is also great - especially during the getting-in-yer-mecha-n-heading-off-to-battle scenes.

Apart from a good story, visuals and music, this anime also comes with the marketed Bishojo characters - the main character being cutie Sara Welec. This 1/8 scale figure was on display at the Wonfes but didnt see her at all. Due out this summer together with co-pilot Lotti Gellar. According to the news section on the official Soukou no Strain site, These figures are just the first batch of characters to be released which hints that the others should be released over time. The maker is Chrono Gate which I have not come across before so am a bit worried about the quality - probably best to wait for reviews first before buying.

Looks like most of the episodes are also up in YouTube. Was going to direct you to the OP but cant find it for some reason.

sorry this is more like a comment on your latest change in web site. You changed video labels from been green to been white with gray. I think it was much better when they were green. With light gray its hard to read on some monitors and its less notable to the eye. Green was very soft and pleasant to the eye. While it was not too strong it still caught good amount of attention.

I watched Soukou no Strain. Good overall, but so slow to develop.

Got the episodes but wasn't able to view any of them. The show didn't attract to me that much at all. Maybe when there's nothing else to do I might load an ep or two. :D

Uhuh... I liked Soukou no Strain, and Sara sure is cute. But this figure is not really good. The hair is tooooo bad. Looks like a BIG helmet to me... :/

Soukou no strain was a bit naff actually, the story line is very generic. But the production quality is very impressive, and I liked the characters & CG animation. A beautiful figure, I certainly hope they produce merchandise of the strains would like to have a kit/figure of ralf's or sara's strain. I know I keep asking but I'm intently awaiting the new figure.fm, any updates yet danny?

Wow, I can't belive you actually liked the story. The only thing that s-strian had going for it was a team of kick-ass computer animation team(those mechs looked beautiful). Aside from that, it very basic looking animation, boring characters and by-far one of the worst storys I've ever come across.
Although I think that Sera figure is quite nice, and would buy a strian model kit the day it came out, I wouldnt recmoned this series to any one.
