Absolutely hectic day yesterday. Wonder Festival in the morning, filming HDTV in the afternoon and off to an Idol event in the afternoon. Being a full time employee at Microsoft and a full time otaku can be tough at times ^^; Hmmmm, maybe I should give up one of these full time positions...

There were the usual billions of people waiting outside when we got there but for some strange reason, the halls didnt seem as packed as it was this time last year. Waited 64 seconds for our press passes before going in though a seperate entrance. Thank god for press passes.

Spent most of our time around the enterprise booths - being Alter, Max Factory, Good Smile etc. Only skimmed though the garage kits section due to time constraints.
Going to dedicate this week Mon - Fri on yesterdays Wonder Festival and finish off the week with coverage from yesterdays idol event - I know you are going to absolutely fall in love with her!
This is the first part covering female figurines, tomorrow will cover mecha stuff, Wednesday will cover cosplay, Thursday and Friday will cover two of my most-favorite-absolutely-must-have-or-somebody-dies figures.

Dont have a terrible amount of time to go through all these but I know that you know your stuff when it comes to figures ^^. If you have a question, post the photo ID like "7571.jpg".

Coverage is being brought to you in coordination with Akihabara News where you can catch the latest HDTV and movie footage from inside the halls at Wonder Festival. Akihabara News will be uploading a few clips of the event coverage so be sure to check them out this week.
Moeyo and ellcy90 also have coverage that you may want to check out.

Ah, almost forgot to mention that when you click on "view the rest" that over 100 images will load. IE users will experience blurring. If this happens then install Firefox instead. Alternatively you could just view the whole gallery instead. Some NSFW pics included too so watch your back at work. Should I include laughing man discs to hide B-Chiku?

Grrr!
For some bizzarre reason, it cut off virtually all of my last post, so here I go again!

I really like the sexy Booted bunny girls on 7582 and that h-game gal on 7634. Nice red Mikuru bunny too.

I see Mirei-san in the background on the Shunya Yamashita stall! Show us more!

Mostly, i have to say that your camera is EXCELLENT!
Having recently spent £300 on one, i realise that its extremely difficult to take good, sharp, well exposed pictures indoors without flash! Great pics - especially of the excellent, but extremely blatant Mai Shiranui figure.

Looking forward to the cosplay bit - never seen you cover a cosplay event before.

Great shots! This is what got me visiting your site originally Danny. I love that Mai figure, the face is great, but unfortunately I think her "eyes" may be a bit too large, don't think the wife will give the OK on that one. Ah well, I've at least got your great shots of it to enjoy. If this is just the first batch I can't wait to see what you put up in your gallery of the Must-Have figures. Looking forward to the rest of the week! Thanks!

I like the Masterpiece Megatron (even if his legs are very slim) and I liked the "Pat Lee" style Revoltech Megatron that were on WF 2007 winter. Pat Lee is the biggest **** on earth because he didnt pay the salaries of some great artists but he did make a cool Megatron. He bought a car with the money that was meant to be used to pay salaries.

I saw on Seibrtron.com forums that Takara is going to distribute Masterpiece Megatron in the rest of the world through Hasbro, because Takara wants to produce a US Safe version! Stupid toy gun laws. I just want a Megatron with no orange tip.

As for PVC figures I like the Mikuru in medic uniform, Haruhi Figumates and Mikuru waitress.

Does anyone if there will be a Rockman Zero (Mega Man Zero) revoltech figure? I saw this ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v50/Wing-Zero/029.jpg ) on a WF 2007 winter coverage. Oh and if someone steals my photobucket bandwith by copying my link, he or she will die a gruesome death. Just save it on imageshack or your own photobucket.

Silly question you ask Danny. Only you know what you can/can't do. And I guess that if you quit MS in good terms, it will not be a problem to (eventually) come back.

My only advise: Just Remenber that you got only one life ;)

As always there are nice and "not nice" figures at these shows, acording to Danny's pictures there are realy some nice figures I would like to ge my hands on, but there are others I thought to myself, " what the heck is that" some of the figures had to many wrinkles on their clothes and the faces were weird like some of haruhi.

And the ones of to Heart 2, what's wrong with their faces and clothes? Looks like they came out of a miss wet t-shirt contest and the one on white lingerie, her proportions.... I don't know, they look kinda weird, the chest is good but the waist and legs.... they look too hentai and real to my taste.

Anyway I would love to get my hands on the Mikuru nurse outfit figure so cute ^^

Yeah, those Haruhi figures do look odd... Probably because they're from other companies and not Max Factory.

I see there's another good looking Pia Carrot (7598.jpg) one out. Everything about the figure looks great!

Besides that, 7629.jpg looks good too. Don't know where the character's from but really elegant!

The bouquet looks fairly nicely done in the bride figure.

And looks like Danny has his eye on Mai seeing she has more pictures than the others =P

Anyway, おつ~
