This is Char's Rik Dom HCM Pro Special painted edition due out end of March and will retail at 3,150 yen.
I dont know about you but the new special painted versions (like Sazabi) kind of make me want to throw out my old HCM Pro figures. I feel a tad annoyed that I got the first HCM Pro Sazabi a few days before they announced the special painted edition.
Have a look for this HCM Pro on one of the following trusted dealers.

Very nice. Me would like to get one but I prefer MG kits. Maybe once I complete the kits on my MG list, I'll start collecting these HCM-Pros...

There was meant to be a heart at the end of that last comment (meaning I am GAR for CHAR) but the internet ate it.

You should get the special paint version of the Sazabi. You know you won't be disappointed with it. ^_-

I was just looking at the upcoming releases of HCM Pros, not sure if I want more. Although, I do enjoy the special paint ones and Dom is one of my favorites. They do look nice about my office at work... You convinced me Danny, I will get it. ^o^

Reminds me of Megaman/Rockman characters... Surely due to those BIG legs.

I would have liked better colors for the cannon and saber, when seeing that nice metallic red (makes an odd shiny/dull effect to it), but maybe it would be asking for too much.

(As for the post edit option, I fear it can't be possible. Once you made a typo and posted a comment, I feel that you got no other choice than to assume your oopsie... -_-;)

hey danny or any of you guys, i'm thinking to seriously buy a lot of gundam models, but there is only one thing that holding me back. I'm not sure if it would be the best idea to buy models at local stores (canada) or online like hlj.com.

What would you prefer? I'd like to hear your opinion...

mmm... more HCM Pro goodness. ^^ I always love how they pack in those MG level of details into the small 1/200 frame of the HCM Pro. I wonder though does anyone paint the panel lines on their HCM Pro, I tried that once on my NU Gundam, unfortunately it turned out a bit awkward. ToT

Dan,
If there isn't that much of a price difference, I suggest you get them locally. in that way if there's something wrong with the kit/figure it'll be easier for you to return/exchange it.

Never really liked the dom.. not into the chunky mecha. As one could tell, i like slimmer ones like the eva units but, thats just my personal preferance.

1 more thing

dan, HlJ is a great website, only problem is that they are located in japan (obviously) This can act like a double edged sword; The prices are lower but the shipping is higher.

I usually order from 3 websites:
1. Imageanime- located in NY its really close to me and arrives in one day (im in Nj)
2. Gundamstore- good prices and alot of gundams in stock, they are in illonois though and i order from them only when imageanime is sold out of something.
3. HLJ- I only order from them when i am ordering more than 5 things.
For my birthday this April, i will be ordering 10-13 models n figures.
they have great prices.

hope that helped :)

Very nice. I might end up getting one, even though I have the regular HCM Pro Dom. Dom's are a very nice design, after all.

I bought quite a few HCM's over the last few months. I love the Jabouro Set and the Super Gundam set. The special Sazabi looks hot! BUT the new paint jobs for the rest of the series don't look so hot, they remind me of all the special coating master grade kits... not too close to my heart. Sell me your HCM's if you don't want em, Danny!

Hmmm, I purchased the Sazabi SP and it cost me a good sixt bucks. Kind of thought that the Sazabi would be the only to recieve the SP. Hey, does the new Quebley and Hyaku Shiki count as SPs?

Have a feeling Bandai is special painting them for the money. Poo

This Rick Dom doesn't make my Sazabi special anymore.

marvin,
That is totally true, i could just return it anytime i want. But the main thing that concerns me is the prices though. I only buy 1 or 2 gundam models once in a while because i'm too worried that i might pay too much. I wanna buy more! hehe

heiheit,
Will you save some money if you purchase 10 models at hlj than buying from your local store? Also, were u reffering to http://www.gundamstoreandmore.com/index.html if yes, too bad they don't take international orders... =(

Hi, i just wanted to know if anyone can direct me to the Neon genesis eva 01 model that was shown on WHF-15 page. this design is not available on internet and i have searched for it. this model is better detailed and well designed than other models available in the market. the image name on the page is 6784. the URL is http://www.dannychoo.com/images/photo/large_thumbs/6784.jpg

It's cool, shiny, red, and cool. I'm not into the whole true hobby of Gundam building, but I like the way it looks. (I don't have enough devotion to do so as said in DC's tutorials.) This Char reminds me of something I did in Armore Core 2. It's just so... cool. Plus, the beam saber is yellow/blue and that's cool too!

The HCM Pro line is no doubt pricy, but the quality is right up there. If you have limited space, it's a great series to collect. My favorite so far is the Strike Freedom, very high in production value, came with a lot of accessories (looks fantastic on a stand in full burst mode - stand is not included though). I am looking forward to the Hi-V and Ex-S transformable variations.

dan, Usaually you will save around 10-$ 50 on a model at hlj but usually around $20. That means you're saving $200!! but like i said shipping can kill.
BTW i was talking about that gundamstore (i forgot they only did to U.S., sorry)
If you need anything else just post :)
