Just thought I would show you Azamiyuko sensei's progress of Mirai-chans bikini version. There will be a few tweaks to what you see below. I'm just wondering which version of Mirai I should choose to make into a figure ^^;
This is the latest version below.
Below: This was the first version. As you can see from the latest version above, I had the legs done longer and hips bigger ^^;
Below: And this is the first fan art I received of Mirai from Yoshimu-san. I will stick this in Mirai-chans page and any other fan art of Mirai that I receive - as long as its not tooo ero ^^; Panchu ones like this one from Yoshimu-san is OK.
Below: This has got nothing to do with this post but something that I rolled out yesterday. Its the recent active members list. Whenever you make a new Otakurl, Otalink or comment post, your avatar goes to the top of the stack.
That is just a list of *recent* active members - its not a ranking of any form. If you are half way down the list, it just means that many members have made a post since you last made your post. If you make another post, you will go to the top of the list.
Soon you will be able to create comrade lists, converse directly with other members, list your unwanted figures in the classifieds, and much much more!
I'm in the middle of redesigning the top page and need more of your feedback in the polls about those "send this to a friend" links that you see when you browse the net...
Thanks to all who came up with naming sugge...(more)

Mirai-Chan seems a bit uncomfortable in the second draft...

Pantyshot! Even for the stormtrooper...! lol. Nice fanart!

"Send to a friend" option? Didn't even know that existed... There are so much features here ^_^

Later!

Definitely the first one. The 2nd ones body (from hips down) looks to much like a little girl while the first one her body from the hips down look more like a young adult. So id say go with the first one imo.

Lookin good!
Id be intrested in seeing a figure made of this sometime.
As for the active members thing, im surprised to see that im about halfway down, despite replying to nearly every post over the last 3 years! Boo hooo! How does it work?

Hope you attain a 'moeyo'-like approach to merhandising. Their mascots have sold really well in shops like Asobit.

Its late and im sozzled. Must kip!

I wish I had your character Danny! Hey, maybe when you start your company you should make a science division so that they can research to bring your character to life, now that would be some awesome news!

On another note: can you have a remember me code so that everyone doesn't have to log on time and time again just to post. At first I didn't mind but that was before this place was really, really, really startin' to rock. Could you? Thanks Danny!

P.S.S. I've heard that there's gonna be a second season of Haruhi premiering at the end of this year in the fall. I wonder if this is true cause it says in Wiki and there's a link to it. I'm too lazy to find it so yeah. Here's hopin'!

The artwork is looking great. Although, when I saw the first one, Asahina Mikuru came to mind.I don't know why.

I like the recent active members list. Its nice to show active members as opposed to ranking them based on the number of posts, etc.

hmmm I like the smaller version. I guess a figurine-otaku like yourself would be very specific about the 3-sizes you like. But I gotta say Mirai-chan is the best blog mascot I've ever seen. It's even from a real manga artist. Good job Danny-kun.

Hmmm. I'm having a hard time choosing between them. The loli one is quite nice actually. However, the figure of the latest one is stunning, and probably suits the character more. Nice addition w/ the recent active members thing, btw!

Oooh, i must say i really like the updated version, she looks alot older and more mature with more filled out features, and thus she is far more appealing ;)

Just wondering, but, how can you make one into a figure? i mean is there a company that will make them for you? or is it only if you are a celebrity like yourself that you can get such things done?

I look forward to more info, as usual xD

Great sketch of Mirai, Azamiyuko sensei is truly talented. WOW making your own figure, you will have to share some more about this "how and where" with us. Actually you should have send to a friend link Danny. They are popular by users. I often find myself showing some of your posts to my friends, but if you have send to a friend that will really allow for more people to learn about your great site and of cores about you. I say go for send to a friend, its useful and fancy too.

Once again, your devotion to thi blog is outstanding. I mean, a figure of the mascot? If you actualy mangae to produce a couple of them I will definitly be on of the first to place an order.
And as for adding a "send to friend" option, I personaly would never use it. Keep up the good work and keep us uptodate on the progress of the figure.^__^

Wow, she's better than I thought. Kawaii-overload, if I may say so myself. I think it's because of the Mikuru effect that's going on. Second Mirai is definitely a loli-face, big-breasted, child-like figure. Then the first Mirai is like second Mirai from the future (happens to be from the present in our case making second Mirai something from the "past"). Yuko-sensei has done you very great work, and 'very great' isn't the best the way to describe it. Send her my appreciation if possible 'cuz I love this art syle now. Next step for Mirai should be a persona. For the sake of imagination (aka fancomics (which I won't draw)).
As for the recent members thing, I've always stuck with the the little bar that shows recent members, but no biggie other wise.
And the 'Send to a friend' thing, I've just sent my friends the site instead. Unless you've posted something that would alert me to send to a friend immediately, I'd use the option. So up until now, I've never used the option.
(Oh, and yes, an edit button would do well... I think?)

SG,
As soon as you made that post you was sent to the top of that stack.

MedioSam,
Thats a nice avatar you have - who is she?

Edward,
Not decided on the modeler for the Mirai figure yet.

Goose,
Try one of the links on the recent HCM Pro post.

TJ Han,
Mango?

Aurora,
Will make sure Mirai has cast off features ^^;

Arekusu,
If you know the right people and can pay to get it done then anybody can make one I guess.

Timoshi,
Thats a good idea.

Zer0,
I was thinking that too.
