I thought the pre-release pictures of this figure were cute but the actual item is even cuter! The paint, colors, proportions and facial expression is perfect.
As I was taking pictures of Konomi, I started to come to the conclusion that just like humans, there are figures which are photogenic and figures that are not so. I don’t think the Mikuru figure is that photogenic for example.
This figure of Konomi on the other is photogenic and I could have taken pictures of her all day long - perhaps its because of the feel of motion captured in this figure?
The standard cast off feature reveals a cute looking set of panchu and is currently displayed just like Melissa ^^;
Just stuck in some images of Konomi in the wallpaper pool for those who want some.

Hmm. I really like the baggy, dynamic feeling of her clothes and the sculpting of her hair is very well done, but the whole thing seems a bit too dodgy to me.
She seems really young, and the blatantly visible panties (with 'cast off'!) just seem a bit 'wrong' to me.
Im not really into this kind of loli anime stuff - but I guess its just me as this figure has been hyped for a while now. ^_^

Nice lighting on your pics BTW.

Great photos as usual. Also good to see that this one doesn't disappoint especially since it's coming from the GSC Venus Idol Project.

Most of these figures from the "To Heart" series fit into the photogenic category, don't you think?  Usually these are the characters the girls like a lot and like to cosply a lot too.  I'm very fond of Lucy Maria Misora myself.  Something about that pink hair. ^^;

Cute photos Danny!

I wonder if there are in depth (and readily available) articles regarding photogenics.

I'd like to see what can cause favorable image conditions for a subject and how to "exploit" that for maximum "photogenicness."

She is cute no doubt about that, the body pose, hair, dress are very cute, but there's something about the face that's been nagging me since I've been watching her before her release.

From some "angles" of view she's nice but if you stare at her from the front you'll noticed that it looks like something is missing like an eye, because characters with big eyes are not suposed to have one eye open and the other one closed, it distorts the character, that's the only down I see about this figure, because the face is important to me in terms of figures or anime characters.

Very nice indeed. I know exactly what you mean about some figures being more photogenic than others. Some look good at any angle, meaning they feel like they have life. Some you really have to hunt to find an angle where they don't remind you that she's just a slab of pvc. This figure appears to be full of energy.

I have a different Konomi figure, but she's still so cute. And the pose she's in is also dynamic. I'm sure its not as floating as that figure, but mine is still mucho cute. I think the eyes have alot to do with the personality of the figure. I have two Kotobukiya To Heart figures now, and they both have gorgous eyes, theres something about them thats got depth. And I love 'em for it.

I've love this figure too :sob: lol
