I wonder if they have a sign up at the toliets saying: Dont Sh*t here.... :-)
I guess some liberties are usually sacrficed for the sake of orderliness. ^^ wonder if they'd shoo you off if you sprained your ankle along that hallway as well. ^^ Zplus, I saw I sign like that once, girls are allowed to take a dump but guys aren't. I'd post a link here, however unfortunately the sign is in a foreign language. :p
wow 5000 yen for a paper bag ... which makes you stand way out on your way home ... LOL ... i wouldn't buy that ...
Are there any "Don't masturb*te here" signs as well? :) I guess the "No stopping" here is to prevent crowd build-up. But the "Don't walk" on the escalator is real funny. It might break if you walk! Lol
Danny, can't you do what you're told? Just kidding! Keep annoying them! I don't mind waiting in line for a while, but if it's for hours... It surely is worth the pain after all. Still, no sitting... and if you got wobbly legs, what do you do? Are you allowed to bring some sandwich for lunch at least? I guess not even. And yes, those people with microphones are a bit... too much in terms of law and respect. Hope you had fun (and happy nosebleeds!!)
Heh, I've been reading the Genshiken managas and reading your Comike posts at the same time. Spooky
Let us take this time to bless MIDI for the wonderful doujin which I am about to receive. And let us also thank the Japanese for allowing this sort of thing to go on (Comiket, not just the porn). And let us also

that sounded very entertaining, i'd like to just watch the people trying to enforce the rules and make fools out of themselves. ^_^ due to my recent lack of a good internet connection, i skipped out on seeing most of ur pics. (i know, i am a horrible person. I blame it on my wireless connection) but outside of waves and waves of haruhiism, did u find any good stuff by Mine Yoshizaki? (need more after i get my hands on the ever so sweet Win-Chan.)
The longest I ve waited in line for anything is less than an hour, not a fan of standing in line, would rather be late adopter or pay someone to queue up if really need be.
Longest I ever needed to wait in line was to queue up for the Nintendo Wii at Target.... 8-9+ hours.
Soooooooooo many people. I'm not a fan of waiting in line as well. Longest was probably about an hour max.

*dont pee here. (Sign) omg i really really really want to go and ATTEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i thought i saw HE IS MY MASTER and it is!! makes me high cos of the loli-meidos... SOMEONE OF DEsu-KE-TE!! *nosebleeds
You wouldn't go if you didn't have a press pass right? I'm allergic to waiting. What's with Japanese and their queues?
LOL, Singaporeans would'nt mind it if they queue for loooooooooong hours or sometimes even camp through the night to get free stuffs...

I'd line up for a Wii, even when I already have one. But I'm not allowed. I love crowds = ) makes it all fun to compete and fight people for stuff. I'd love to go to these things...

LOL... Singaporeans maybe are the experts in queuing up for anything... from condo to free candy floss at Cathay... Come to think of this, i rather buy them then queuing for it, since i can't get back the time wasted ;p
Call me crazy, but I wanted to see that designated stopping area. I'm just trying to imagine how different it really was. What would be really hilarious is if some one stopped and stood still forever trying to interpret the signs.
a lot of signs in there -__-" they must be mad. ps. Really like the whole building, structures etc. any chance of more pics around the building?
i'm not surprised at the volume of ppl and the doujin cirles since this is Comiket but i'm surprised at the rules and at the strict marshals who enforces them but it's understandable since this is a very huge event and possible chaos could happen anytime and prevention is better than a cure. this is really interesting, i thought that you can rest anywhere at the Big Site but with Comiket it seems you can't and you can only rest at designated areas. i so wanted to see how the organizers manages and organized this one of a kind event :3

Wow blue line, lol
Love those little bits of strict authoritative signage! The system must work though - the Japanese respect authority and generally behave better in public, and to each other than most civilisations. The no walking when you were solo on the travolator was a bit daft though. Nice to see the outside of big sight too. I bet all the otaku were like "natural light - AIIIEEE!"
wow im not that hardcore XD, usually if i want to get something and theres a huge line ill go forget it -.- go to another store or buy online lol

5000 yen for the bag? I could get a few doujinshis with that money. And no thanks for waiting in the line for hours.
Whoa! Man that's probably the longest line I've ever seen! Even when I camped out for the 360 and Wii, the lines weren't that bad! I really appreciate your patience to be willing to wait in that line for so long to bring the news to us. Thank you Danny!
Ah the wonderful queues, a pure 5 hours of waiting in line only to find that you have to line up again if you are heading to the industry booths.

I suppose the long line is a small price to pay to get Ur hands on all those wicked Gooooodies!! - 5000 - for a bag is a bit much though =P

Hmmm line waiting and ques. There is such a magic to them and waiting, if your that kind of person who is PATIENT. 1) Back in 1997 I had to wait outside the Hard Rock Cafe in Baltimore, MD for 6 hours when the water main broke near the ESPN Center. Customers who waited got free food, goodies, AND we had a rocking party. Was great when we had company from out of town. 2) I waited a month or so ago for my Nintendo Wii, in line for 5 hours at a local Wal*Mart. I wasn't sure for the first 3 hours, but an hour or so before the sale, we were given a list and they had to honor it. Got my Wii, and am enjoying it enormously :)
Vertico, The wallpaper tool will come soon - promise promise! Mac, Just imagine a blue box on the floor with people in it^^; TJ Han, No Press Pass = Would not go ^^;
Wow... there's a lot of people... but not many are women...

yea.. i don;t think many women would be interrested in erog douj -.-"
I think I would wait in line... though having a press pass does seem like the route I would try to go if I was going to one of those things. Of course, getting to Japan costs and arm and a leg... Danny, what sort of criteria do you have to meet to get press passes for those things?

that bag is cool...shame it was'nt free,we don't get many anime functions here in southafrica,capetown... heard of a small one at UWC...on 70 cos players... so sad :-(
Missing a choice for "less then 5 hours." I would never stand in a line that long!
Well, I went to the Comic Market 59 and spent almost 1 hour in the line to get in...
I wonder if they have a sign up at the toliets saying: Dont Sh*t here.... :-)
