Just got back from the WHF at Big Site and bring back with me some bad news... My CF card decided to throw a foobar and about 70 photos got corrupted ToT orz.
The good news (kind of) was that there wasn't that much to see anyway and the only thing I lost that I wanted to show you was a PVC of Mai Shiranui from KOF at the GoodSmile booth.

Much of the stuff were kits that you have already seen last year and the nicest kit was the angel one two pics down. The Bubba figure of Yuki Nagato was on display but there was a huge queue lining up just to take pictures! I decided to move along.
Also on display at the Good Smile booth was a figure of Mikuru that I hadn't seen before. I do prefer the other one though.
More event shenanigans next week where I bring you coverage from Winter Comike.

Nice!

I really like the figures on pics 6752, and 6760 (the mikuru bunny one) is pretty cool too.
Those Asuka & Rei motorbike racer figures are really nice too, though i think theyve milked EVA for all its worth!

Very nice photos as always, Danny. That new Evangelion figure looks really cool. I don't think I've seen it anywhere before. Is it just me though or does the head on that Saber figure look disproportionately small?

Checking out Moeyo, I noticed they had posted up 2 signs of Haruhi figures, one by Goodsmile company, and they other by Max Factory. You mentioned the
waitress Mikuru posted above is from Goodsmile, is it safe to assume the Mikuru bunny also pictured above is by Max Factory? :p
Or I could be completely off, but meh worth a shot.

Question1: What series/movie/game are the 4 figures that are in photos 6763-6766? Brief description: the figures are in washed-out greys/pastels with a belle-epoque meets nuclear winter dystopia look to them. Oh, and bright red backgrounds.

Question2: Who is the figure in pic 6770? Black spiky hair, glasses, well endowed, wearing dark purple suit with pink motive on the right-hand trouser leg

Sorry to go off stream for a bit Dan, but didn't you say that you were going to implement personalized options? By that, I mean people will have a personal av or something like that? Maybe it was a figment of my imagination.

OMG, clearance sales ???!!! in the last few pics ???

The Mai Shiranui from Maxfactory can be seen here, am glad that Maxfactory is the one to PVC it, have my eyes on it when it was shown as a GK. Most Japanese sites do not have pic of that as it says photo taking is not allowed.

http://animenewsi.com/index.php?itemid=9988&catid=245

Hopefully I will feel rich enuf to splurge on the Vispo Asuka and Rei

Others stuff that I have my eyes on are the Saber action figure, the gal in bridal/beautyqueen gown from Idolmaster, Alice Malvin from Punpkin Scissors

BTW Danny, you shld have added a banner or something to inform that we need to register inorder to post a comment. It toook me 10 times longer to load your site w/o sigining up as a member and I thought WTH was going on with the server.

Marvin,
That was the press pass ^^; The only press privileges that you get at the WHF is "no lining up" and "get in for free". They are pretty good about taking pictures although there are some bozos which tell you "no photos".

バタくん,
I just uploaded the code - check the header ^^

Matt_,
Q1 - not sure but I think they look cool too.
Q2 - I think thats somebody from Burst Angel.

The-O,
I would assume that your assumption is correct ^^;

linc,
I wrote automated scripts that resize, rotate, watermark and FTP up to the server. Usually spend an hour writing posts everyday though.

Kevin,
Some for sale - many on display only,

hyp3r,

Eugene,

Andy H,
Will be working tomorrow on Xmas. But going to Ginza today to get some pics for you ^^

test post

other stuff to include

Since theres a membership, is there a possibility to add the EDIT function for comments for those who login as member or the plan is to shift all the stuff into forum mode in future?

the Mai Shiranui figure at the WHF is most likely the GK ver shown in other events, hopefully the final mass pduced ver will have the same standard. Perhaps thats the reason for no phototakings allowed?

The Mikuru from GSC grp is supposed to be able to form a diorama with the Haruhi and an upcoming Yuki in the fortune teller costume during the school festival. But based on the display, that doesnt seem to be possible (maybe thats the reason for no photo taking allowed)

Okay, I am getting lost from investigating the Mikuru figures.
Seen here are TWO signs from Moeyo for figures that pertain Haruhi:
GoodSmile Company
http://www2.moeyo.com/img/06/12/23/5/508.html
Max Factory
http://www2.moeyo.com/img/06/12/23/5/506.html

Finally, pictured here from Anime News International:
http://img.animenewsi.com/g/index.php?mode=view&album=Conventions%2F2006%2FWonder_Hobby_Festival%2FGood+Smile+Company%2F&pic=CIMG6654.JPG&dispsize=800&start=0
Proving that the Mikuru waitress uniform is indeed by Max Factory.
Now the question remains, what is GoodSmile releasing Haruhi related-wise for 3000 yen?
If someone could just translate the GoodSmile link sign, I think that would be the easiest. :p

Still waiting for the activation email (taking it's time), but here's a regular post from me.

It's so soon, this feeling of having another whf, isn't it? It feels like just yesterday the last one was on, but it's nice to see a few new pics of figures we knew nothing much about.

I'll see if I know some of the unknown ones and add a few names later (should I guess who they are).

Considering comment edit functionality but will have that for forums.
Not sure about no-photo taking. I loose th ability to read when I am in front of cutesome figures.

The-O,
I always get confused between Maxfactory and Goodsmile - one is a distributor and the other a manufacturer?

Alafista,
I dont know - I should approach him one day.

Let me know if there are probs.

To my knowledge, GoodSmile, Max Factory, and Clayz have some sort of partnership. GoodSmile does distribute figures for Max Factory as well as Clayz however, they also make their own figures.

GSC handles the distribution for GSC, Max Factory, and Alter. From time to time they will handle other companies' model as well such as Orchid Seed, Toys Planning, or Solid Theater. However I don't recall them doing any distribution for Clayz at all.

Hi Danny,
For your technical problem, I've met the same problem before. I've managed to recover the pictures by putting my CF card into an PCMCIA slot adaptator and running a harddrive recover tools on it. So if you haven't erased your card, it's worth trying.
