Added a new category for closet Candy Girl fans called Life size figures. I was thinking of calling this category carpool as these 1/1 scale figures can be put in the passenger seat so that you can use the carpool lane. I remember the first time I went to the US and seeing this 'car pool' lane and didnt know what the hell it was - "a swimming pool for cars?"

The only stall at the Bishoujyo Figure Convention that I felt had any substance was the one that Paper Moon set up. I know some of you have seen some of their products but they had a lot on display.
The Saber doll is really cute and you can see her out and about town as Monpuchi takes her outdoors for some shooting - the one of her in the sunset is really nice.

If you got some spare change knocking around then you can go to DMM and get one. Costs 298,000 yen for a limited posable version , 480,000 yen for a fully posable version and 1,230,000,000 yen for one that walks, talks and opens the door for you when you get back from work (and prepares dinner).

Saber is cute :)

1,230,000,000yen is definitely out of the equation. That's a lot of money :/

Danny, may I know what's the height of these girls? An exact 1:1 of their anime counterpart?

I saw the papermoon dolls in Asobit City earlier this year, and they seem kinda creepy. Its as if the appeal of gal figures is that theyre miniature. Once they become human sized you get freaked out. Almost as if theyre watching you....
That blonde bunny girl is kinda cool though. She doesnt look 10!

Id rather have the 'real' doll in pic 6508 ^_^

I'm disappointed that they make the eyes so cheaply. You'd think they would try to make the eyes look 3-D by adding a clear plastic cornea so that the light effect would occur naturally instead of painting it on there. All they do is paint the damn eye on the face with the light glare effect and everything. It rly takes away from the reality that the very doll is supposed to promote...

Hey, one of the dolls is Ren (aka Reverie Metherlance or the 7th Heavenly Treasure) from Erementar Gerad (the one with the purple hair and headband)! It was some good anime.

I was looking at pictures of these the other day. Just out of curiosity I would like to see them. It must feel weird to see anime characters at 1:1 scale. Of course I would never buy one since my fiancee would throw me out of the house. ^^;; Thanks for the close-up pictures Danny.

But really well made and the size is impressive.

Yo Danny-san,

I've got a query...
As for...

"1,230,000,000 yen for one that walks, talks and opens the door for you when you get back from work (and prepares dinner)."

Does that mean that its a robot? I mean, it walks and even prepares dinner..what else would it be if its not a robot?..just curious and wondering though...

Pretty nicely done considering they're 3D figures of 2D Anime characters...

Kind of reminds me of those wax museum displays I went to at Planet Hollywood in London.

@Bele

The official Paper Doll site lists them just under 160cm tall.

Those really are cute though. Kind of makes an otaku's dream come true to a degree. However I'd bet any female member (if there are any) would be disturbed by me saying that.
(Btw that wasn't meant to sound sexist. I honestly don't know if there are any female members)

I torn between them being creepy and cool. It would be so much fun to have a life-size figure. Think of the possiblities! I'm surprised that that the eyes look so blank though. One would have assumed they would have made them look more 'alive'.
