Here are the pics that I took after attending the disastrous Shibuya Anime Fair recently. Notice the Sailor fuku to Kikanjyuu poster plastered on 109. A few of you have been asking about this and sorry I didn’t reply as I was waiting to post this. The drama has so far been an excellent dramatization of the original film. Well recommended.
And for those who have not seen the other posts on Shibuya, here are the photos by day and here is the video clip.

The last shot you see was actually taken back in 2004 from the Tokyo Excel hotel. I had this as my wallpaper when I spent some time in Seattle in 2004.

Ah, the joy that is the Tokyo Night. How I long to go back. Until then, will have to settle for some of the local nightscapes.

Also, those are some nice photos, as usual. I do like the figure ones more, though :3

Cool pics - i like the fish-eye lens action.
You must either have a great camera or a really steady sniper hand to get good night shots like those. Most of my shibuya pics came out crap at night unless i took some diazepam and found a good sniping spot!

Well done Danny! Thanks for the pics.

I prefer Shibuya by night compared to Shibuya by day. The light accentuates night life. Guess that's because I'm a night person. ;)

And you can see a promo bus/truck? of "death note" in one of the pictures. Yes, I'm a DN fan.

Geb,
Dont know about a place to stay - a Tokyo Hotel search should bring up some results - sorry.
Re places? Akihabara, Akihabara and maybe Akihabara ^o^

The_Woz,
Hi! Nice find. You into C64 stuff? I used to have the C64 - brown round one and the later white one - both died ^^;
http://remix.kwed.org/ (great c64 music mixes)

Chrno,
We stayed there for a while and was taken from the floor that we were on.

Kyoji,
Yes! I've had that idea for a while but need a bit of time to implement it - coming soon and thanks for reminding me.

Radical anime fan,
May consider it for extra cash ^^;

AndyH,
Took most of the shots with an ISO setting of 1600 - but theres a load of noise though.

Marvin,
Thanks. Wanted to expose previous posts and make things easier to find within just a few clicks.

Micke Lundh,
More soon!

Wildarmsheero,

Andy,

Danny, those pics of Shibuya were awesome!

You took them last year so I'm wondering what your photography level is at now.

Either way, Shibuya is fun to view from afar and up close and personal. People watching in that area is FUN. It's just a huge pool of people (girls too) and it's so safe.

Just find a place to relax at a cafe and watch people in Shibuya at that crossing.

Comparing this to Los Angeles, it's a OK view from afar and can get dangerous when you're walking around the streets at night.
