A look at two up n coming GFF releases. BTW - sorry for the bad quality pics. Dug these up a while ago and cant remember where I got them. They look like faxes that toy distributors usually send out a few months before release. The toy industry is a bit slow when it comes to IT and when we launched Toys at Amazon.co.jp, all I saw were a pile of faxes. Some makers didnt even have email addresses...
If anybody knows where there are better ones let me know ^^; #w#1,2,GFF0034#w#
Available next March and retailing for 7,140 yen is RX-78GP03S from Stardust Memory. This is another Katoki design that comes with a simplified GFF version of Dendrobium. Whose mouth is watering? #w#3,4,GFF Metal Edition#w#
Bandai are extending their GFF line with their Metal Editions. This RX-78 is made of ABS and diecast metal. They come in at 1/100 scale and Bandai ask us to “expect lots of detail”. This GFF-ME01 is yet another Katoki design and will cost a cool 12,390 yen. Don’t know about you but I love the current GFF series and a GFF 1/100 scale is only going to burn more holes in our pockets (maybe).
Would you stop making MG’s if the detail and articulation turned out to be better in the new Metal Editions?

I saw that first one a little while back at Ninjascience's Flickr account. The metal one is new on me. Anyway, im more interested in the GP03 one. ^_^

That RX-78-2 looks very cool, but it's a little expensive for me, I think I'll stick with the MG kits

the "simplified dendrobium" itself looks more like a "cannibalized dendrobium". maybe they really couldnt find a feasible plan to release a full-pledged dendrobium because of the cost massive materials involved (the dendrobium is waaaaaaay bigger than the deep striker itself - which is the biggest GFF as of the moment) .considering that it released it that way, im betting that bandai will release "upgrade parts" to make a whole dendrobium.

Definitely getting the GP-03S. I don't mind the skeletal look- it probably saves me a few hundred dollars over a full Dendrobium.

Hmm, stop making MG kits? Right now I would say no. I get a lot of pleasure from build them and it helps to kill stress. Same here, I'm happy with the current GFF line. I just can't see a plastic and metal GFF looking so great. I will have to wait and see...

RX-78GP03S has my mouth all set! ^o^ Wish I could have found a decent picture. >_

It seems that the GFF Metal Edition will have the latest Master Grade Model Technology. But it aims on some collector who is lazy to build a model.

Nice metalic figure!
Though I used to prefer a pla-model which requires assembling procedure to a figure, recently I start being interested in the figure model of gundam. And the metalic model would catch my mind! :)

If the regular GFF are anything to go by I'll steer clear of the metal ones even more so.

Besides the only one I still want is Plan 303 Deep Striker in MG
