hmmm... interesting post Danny. never in a million years would I ever think there would be a drama/soap with a girl in school uniform turning bad guys into swiss cheese with a machine gun. (^o^)/

Japanese dramas did fall into a rut for a while... I was starting to feel numb too. ^o^ Anyway, they are addictive once one starts to watch. I also find them very useful in improving my Nihongo skills. Do I ever need to improve my Nihongo... ^^; I'm still watching some of the summer dramas but thanks for the recommendations! These are two dramas I will want to watch along with a few others...

I wish our dramas would be more like that. XD

The only station here in S.F that shows anything Japanese airs a couple of dramas and a game show. But mostly it just shows the news late at night. In my Japanese class, the anime fans claim anime is good to learn Japanese, but their idea of anime is Naruto >:( Now if it was Gundam, that'd be a different story.

That last pic is definitely airbrushed or otherwise touched up.

Not a fan of Japanese or Korean drama due to their style of acting which is rather "over", and the somewhat cliche ideology which they try to shove. But I do watched Japanese drama every now and then purely for amusement only. Sofar have failed to forced myself to finish any of the Korean drama series.

Definitely enjoy the Japanese drama plugs! Used to like watching some of them several years ago, but it's hard to know what's good/popular. Picked up a copy of Densha Otoko a little while back following your recommendation, and enjoyed that. That'd be great if you could keep mentioning them from time to time!

Kawaii Maki Horikita FTW. Most Japanese dramas are catharsis. I think that's why I'm addictive to it.

I've been nagged by some friends to watch Sailor Fuku... I guess I'll check it out since Danny mentioned it. :D I like the new avatars too.

The most recent Japanese drama I seen is "Densha Otoko". Some of the old drama I seen were: Long Vacation, With Love, GTO, 'Til We Meet Again, The Chief Mid-Life Crisis, and more.

Maki......Hmmmmm.....she is SUPER-FIT!! wouldnt mind adding her to my collection tooo.......hehehehe..... HOT-HOT...Hmmmmmm,.....(about the Drama's I think its ok Ive seen 1 or 2 on Channel ABC in Australia)

Hey cool! New icons! Snazzy!

Still not enough to make me wanna watch it... for now i'm sticking to anime... the last Japanese show that I watched was Iron Chef... lol

I watched a few but the plots were getting kinda boring because the themes would be the same...should check out "One Litre of Tears"..thatz a good one...really sad tho

the thing about Korean Drama I've chose to see so are pretty much love story - whether comical or sad. unfortunately, i didn't like any of those love stories since they seemed too unrealistic or just (forcefully?) overdone. I'll give a try on Japanese drama :) it sure sounds interesting accoring to those discriptions above.

very cute girl. I saw her drama "nuobuta project" before. Akane is my daughter's nick name... ^_^_?

hm. this girl looks familiar, is she the sister in densha otoko?

Whoa! Thats freaky. Anyway thanks. :)

Shi, Yes she is *^-^*. GundamZZ, I love that drama and cried my eyes out! Alex, I prefer Korean Films than their dramas. My wife likes the Korean dramas so I have to sit through them orz.

I really enjoyed watching the television drama 'Densha Otoko', and GTO to a lesser extent. I would love some more recommendations on television series, if anyone has any.

I have a huge backlog of dramas to watch. I get'm but never watch'em. Anyways... Maki + Masami = WIN

i dropped teppan shoujo akane after two eps. enjoying tatta hitotsu no koi a lot. i'll check out sailor fuku to see how it is!

I was watching that 'Teppan' or what ever it's called drama, but I kinda went off it. I do like the girl in it though. She looks cuter and cuter the more J-dramas she does. In Nobuta wo produce, she wasn't anything special, but then in Kurosagi she looked nice and now in her new drama where she actually gets to smile and be lively - she's even cuter!
Teppan Shoujo Akane... A little bit off for me, though I loved all her drama with Yamapi (Kurosagi and Nobuta wo Produce).

I'm been so in love with japanese drama "jdorama" just like what i feel towards animes. The language is one of the main reason i got into it plus there are so many drama that are manga adaptations. Can't help but to love it!!! XDD
