Continuing with the Chara Hobby coverage starting off with the wide angle shots which should give you a feel of what went on. Unfortunately my Xacti bit the dust and is permanently dead so I couldn’t get any video footage ToT.

This is only some of the queue that I didnt quite have the chance to participate in.

More queue…
Chara Hobby 2006 Part 2 (click to enlarge)
Even more queue. Todays event was more of a family event as there were loads of dads with their kids.

The hall before people were let loose.

Don’t know if you can make this out but these are folks running for their favorite stall as soon as the doors opened. It was if as they were possessed – even running into others knocking them over. Most of them ran to get their limited edition Lacus from the Atoriesai stall.

Some of the first in the queue…

And here is that Atoriesai stall – you can see how desperate they are to get hold of their prized figure judging by how close they're standing together. If you are ever in this situation and don’t particularly want the person behind you up your ass – stick a metal plate in your underpants.

Folks who needed to relax for a while could have done so by shooting a few mobile suits on some of the arcade machines.

Senjyo no Kizuna is a multi player Gundam arcade game where you get in one of these pods to be surrounded by a huge screen in the shape of a dome – you feel like you are piloting your favorite MS (probably).

There were loads of dealers selling figures too. Despite being more of a family event, there were a few ero figures here n there.

Didn’t work out what these were and didn’t bother to ask but they kind of looked like small posters. Some of them were very cute though.

There were two stages which had cosplay, singing and other events. I had to leave early for another appointment so didn’t catch the cosplay competition.

Wherever you see some figures of scantly clad figures, you will also see some men with SLR cameras crowding around – I end up joining that crowd ^^;

Are you fed up with your daily shower routine? If so then you may want one of these %%http://key.visualarts.gr.jp/product/tomoyo_after/,Tomoyo After%% towels to make your bath/shower experience a more enjoying one.

Some more not as stimulating bath towels. Confession time – I used to have a Little Mermaid towel about 13(?) years ago.

Here are what the pods look like from behind.

Not too sure whether it was because the hall at Makuhari was big or whether because it was still early on in the day but it was not that crowded compared to a figure event at Big Site.

And here is the Solid State Society booth – more form the inside this week. Brace yourself for a Gundam assault starting tomorrow.

Hmm... There have been some figures that I have really wanted. I don't think I would go to those lengths to get one. (^^;) Then again, it is Lacus eveyone is wanting. I guess if one is hardcore there is status to be maintained. (^_-)

I'm looking forward to more. I've got my favorite chair ready... Bring on the Gundam assault!

It's raelly weird/crazy/beautiful isn't it, at how one would take such lengths and run to be the first to grab it. Their 望み is strong, dontcha think?
