Stormtrooper armor pics

Been modding the armor for a while now and am down to only a few nags. The Thermal Detonator remains unattached and am still thinking of how to keep it secure and be able to take it off easily for when I get into a car.
Got rid of all the velcro and used flat screws to hold the thighs, shins, upper torso and gauntlets together but am looking for some way to be able to take the armor apart without having to unscrew everything.
The armor on the reverse side looks like crap but I'll take some pics soon so that you can see exactly how I fastened everything together.

Starting off with one of those "trying-to-look-cool-and-failing-miserably" no-helmet pics that all troopers seem to have...
If you are in a good mood, go up to the nearest child nearby and make em cry.
Folks in Japan are required to take home their dogs poop (and bake it?) so stepping in poo is not so much of a problem - unless you go trooping in a park full of poo. In a park, K9 owners can get away without cleaning up after because the poo kind of blends in with the mud (unless the poor hound has had something spicy to eat where the poo will be shiny and runny with maybe a tint of orange).
The morale of this story is that you should not troop in mud because its very hard to see out the helmet.
If you troop in Hackney London however, you will see poo *everywhere* - in the roads, trees, on cars...
Not only do you risk treading in poo (and leaving skiddy marks on the back of your helmet after you slip), you also risk getting beaten up by the local folk living in Hackney who have nothing better to do.

Haha!
That pic of you trooping with the pushchair is superb!
Now if only the kid was wearing a mini stormtrooper pic, that would be worth giving to george lucas himself as a present!

Keep up the trooping - hope you can post some more pics of you in built up akihabara-y areas soon!

I've seen the "The Thermal Detonator" in Starwars before but I'm not really sure what it does. What does it do?

(ID #37373) Posted on 2007/01/02 02:35
Those were some nice pics especially with the one where you tried to look cool. Nice try though.

Here in Houston there's barely any poo since most of Houston consists of concrete so everything gets washed away by the never ending rain. So trooping around here would be alright until someone gets *easily* offended and beats the crap out of you. -_-#

And I wish I could push a kid in his/her cart with a Stormtrooper suit. "He's my son clone... beware!"

Come on Danny, I think you look ultra sexy in that shot!

"you also risk getting beaten up by the local folk living in Hackney who have nothing better to do."

I think you also forgot to mention, not only will you get your head kicked in, You'll also get your armour stolen.

My relative was in Hackney a while ago at around 6pm. He said the place was full of cars and people on the streets but some dude still walked up to him demanding he hand over his cash. But my relative being a hardass, he stared him out and the dude said, "Just joking, Chinaman". WTF?? Hahahahahaha....

How about hackney's neighbour, stratford?! And to think... we're getting the 2012 Olympics. Those athletes better hide their gold medals.

After reading about Densha Otoko here a while ago, I decided to watch it. Quite brilliant. I found myself cheering the Otaku along like his Aladdin Channel friends. Must dash, maths to do, physics to read.

Great blog danny boy, keep it up.

Have you ever seen Kamen Rider Black? I always wanted to make the helmet but never knew how to start. Since you're talented with crafts and with your hand (sounds wrong muhaha) why not try making a Kamen Rider Black Mask? Unless of course you hate that show, in which case nevermind lol. Nice Stormtrooper armor! I'm thinking of spraying 2 coats of white krylon glossy white on my helmet to make it extra durable and shiny. Anyway long arse comment, keep up the good work!!

You mentioned that the chest armor looked alittle "flat" during one of your previous posts. I think you could correct it lenghtening the one's at the collar. That should end up with the chest armor's sculpt slightly more noticable. heck you could use duck tape to check it out first, lol
