I've heard that Evangelion has the most disconnected ending for an anime. Everything doesn't fall together and many questions are left unanswered. I have yet to watch and observe this so judging from the pictures from Danny and from the actual mechas in Super Robot Wars MX Portable, I'd say that its as kick butt as RX-78 Stepping on a whole platoon of Zeon Soldiers.

Cheers,

(Forgive me, I'm still at school trying to do some stupid assignment)

Great anime, but a little weird. Doesn't stop me from liking it tho. =P Lovin' that Asuka figure. Methinks I should buy it if I ever find it here. ^^

Yeah, come to think of it, it's been a really long time since I watched it. Man.
(ID #36441) Posted on 2007/01/02 01:23
To tell you guys the truth I never really loved Evangelion. I like it to an extent then it just got weird on me. Blasphimy you say? No my dear friends, I couldn't say no to the giant robots but I've recently started to "get" the episodes, I havent watched them yet and it's pretty sad even though I've had them for *counts his fingers and toes* for the past three weeks or so.

So I'm goin back to the episodes to get the better understanding of it. Plus I miss the robots tearing each other open and eating their remains.

On another note, I've heard there was a new Evangelion series coming out here in the states. I was wondering if that was true cause I saw the pictures for it and I could believe my eyes when Rei was... smiling? The whole world must have been coming to an end...

personally, I am ridiculously impressed with Evangelion - it's started such a big following and copycats (the whole format of the unknown enemey attacking humanity randomly, people not traditionally warriors having to step up to battle (children), religeous overtones, organic giant mechas, etc etc).

I do agree the ending leaves a lot of gaping holes unanswered but... it doesn't mean the whole serie's worthless!!

In fact I find that I would like some side-stories or *gasp* sequel (that would get them crucified by some zealous fans I bet, but I still think no publicity is bad publicity!)...

But when I suggested that we feature Evangelion in our magazine, our entire team was in an uproar about the subject, saying that if we even pronounce Evangelion the wrong way we'll offend everyone and our magazine would be boycotted...

TOTALLY ridiculous...

That big Eva-01 is just the Perfect Grade model.

On the subject of EVA, it only has that existensial ending because the Director was going through depression.

Maybe that's why you see the characters smiling more in artwork now of days... (Hideakki Anno is happier perhaps?)
