As you already know, RX-77D armor comes with Fix Figuration 0028 RX-77-2 Guncannon - its definitely worth getting two of this release as they are both fine figures. The only bad thing is that you are left with a ton of armor as you can see in the final shots.
I think this could be the first Fix Figuration that comes with etching decals for RX-77-2 - it even comes with extra chest armor and foot just for the etching. I suppose there are going to be some ultra maniacs out there which end up getting a few of these just so that they can have 108, 109 and 203.

I think I over done it with the exposure for this round and there's a blob on the lens too - I must have had a late night the day before or had something in my eye like a shard of glass or rusty nail.

Anyway you can read up more on the RX-77D at MAHQ.

Heheh thats a pretty nice mass produced Gun Cannon figure. My brother was itching to buy the HGUC 1/144 one, but I'm not quite sure if the movability is good on that model. =|

Cheers,

Although I'm not a huge Guncannon fan, this figure does look really nice. With all those extra armor and weapon pieces, you don't have to worry about losing anything. I wish I did that with my RX-78-1 Prototype Gundam/FA-78-2 Heavy Gundam. I lost the little fin off the Core Fighter, so now my poor Core Fighter has no tail fin. It also gives you the option of dual wielding the hand armaments (beam rifle & machine gun). Sorry, I always liked when mechs used a gun in each hand. Anyways, a very awesome figure you have there. Wish Bandai would make a FIX GM Custom/GM Cannon II...

Dave!
Until you mentioned it, I didn't know the cannons could extend - they dont look like they could but after pulling on one, I heard a mechanical sound and a whirr...

Yes, they do extend!

I wasn't too happy with this gallery and will add more shots with the cannons extended.

I always wondered what they would look like if their heads were switched...
hmmm... because even though they both share the name gundam cannon they aren't much alike besides two cannons , humanoid shape and the color red... and the Mass production unlike the GM is more gimicky then the original even though shown for a mere sec. in 0080. kool designs though!
