I dont have any HGUC's in my collection but I think I may add one after seeing the 1/144 HGUC Advanced Hazel (High Mobility Type)  - and check out its knees - if I was to be kneed in the mooha for some reason, I would choose this knee. The feet are cool too - wouldn't you just love to be kicked in the face by that foot? Dont know too much about this Gundam but it looks like the Gundam MK 2 with a ton of armor on. You can have a peek at Imachi-sans model and as you can see from his shots, it looks quite articulate for a HG.
So you read me babbling on about how the HG 1/144 scale figures were aimed at 2 audiences ...(more)

One of the many designs that I'm using in one of my projects when I buy the Ver.One Year War Gundam. This thing actually has master grade posbility at the arms and but not so great posability in the legs due to the armour. But don't let me spoil the fun, many have said that this is an awsome model. You might want to run dalong.net through the google translator and select hguc on the top bar.:)

Actually Im not so educated about Hazel other then its from Advance of Zeta...I know it was originally a prototype using the body of a GM Quel. then it got the full Gundam treatment. There is even a Hazel II. Unfortunately thats all I know. I must reconcile this lack of knowledge!!! When I knwo more I shall post it...

long story short: AoZ takes place before Zeta, and the Hazel units are actually just GM customs with a Gundam head slapped on it for psychological effects against Zeon, along with some various other modifications on it to test out new technologies/ideas/weaponry.

Those who are interested might want to spend an hour or two over this forum, it has a comprehensive coverage on AoZ's basic story, the units (there are only 2 Hazel units) and whatnot.

And yes, I bought the previous HGUC Hazel Custom model kit too. It's awesome. The amount of articulations possible is just jaw dropping, even the legs are articulative, despite the bulky looks. Though the foot can't move sideways too much for more complex posings, due to the design of the armor beside the foot. Visit my blog for my progress and final pictures of the Hazel Custom I have.

Look cool.

Sorry, I have a question for all of you. Do you think there will be a master grade Strike Freedom released? If you just want to buy a Strike Freedom action figure, which is better - HCM Pro Strike Freedom Gundam #19 or GUNDAM COSMIC REGION #7003 ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam?

Thanks!

yobody: if you care for proportions issues, get the HCM Pro version. It has proportions that are the most accurate to the anime. If you care for gimmicks, get the HG 1/144 version, because it comes with those clear plastic parts to make SF looks as if it's just firing the funnels from its wings. Don't bother with the rest.

Hmmm, I dont know about wanting to be kicked in the behind with hazel's knee/foot... I'd prefer it to be that of the Astray / Astray Blue Frame Second G if your talking Gundam. But if it could be any foot from anywhere i'd choose Mizuki Takase's - although it probably wouldnt be good to have her want to kick my behind :P

I have the model as well, and I have a note of caution on posing it though. If you're planning to put the shields on its back, you should try to put some reinforcements on the legs as it's going to be very top-heavy. I've had it dropping down on me three times (I put it on display on the shelf-real painful to see it fall) before I finally decided to put it on the table.

Hey, I just ordered this one! Happy to read that you are confident with it. This kit will also be my first 1/144, and since it is a HGUC my guess is that it will be of quite good detail and posability :)
