If I could do my PG Strike Gundam over again I would paint it these colors. As you can see the modeler dropped the pink for the arm/leg armor so that Rouge doesn't look such a pansy.
Scanned from Hobby Japan.

I disagree. This thing is badd. I love the colors and besides this model is a much deal than the Strike because it comes with the Sky Grasper. Go ahead Danny. Buy this one too.

argh, i cant decide what PG of strike to get, the original had a better paint job but this has aile, grasper and dry transfer decals.

what do you think? get Rouge and spray it up like Strike?

Gunsmith you just made me have a great idea. I have the PG Strike and PG Aile Grasper ordered through HLJ but it was in for november re-stock and then it jumped to december re-stock, so instead of waiting i'll just order the Rouge and paint it in the original strike colors! Its so simple I feel like an idiot for not realizing it sooner! ^.^'

It looks as handsome as the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, or even more as you said. Hey Danny, I prefer some gundams that don't look such a pansy too.
I wanna introduce you to see wing gundam which has awesome painting. Please check this out:

I got this kit but haven't built it yet. Might change the color scheme completely but the original scheme is ok, its not as pansy as it looks. It's beauty lies within its different shades of red. Besides its just a bit too plain with just red white and grey as this model is painted. Better still danny, ur strike remains the best one in terms of colors i guess. Repainting a pg kit with another color is a risk as its an expensive kit to try new stuff on unless you are pretty sure on what you wanna do. Just my opinions but correct me if im wrong :P Im open to opinions too.

I just my PG Strike Rouge yesterday - the Grand Slam is included. Extra features included some changes of teh parts, like the "red stuff" in the middle of the V-fin :-P and 1-60 pilot figure of Cagalli of course.

All the runners of both Strike Rouge and the Sky Graspher is in one huge box (same size with PG Zeta) - I thought that it comes with one Strike box and one Sky Graspher box in teh first place.

Quite cool, really nice kit.

i'm building my pg strike now. honestly, it's hard to go wrong with any color scheme with the strike since the model itself is so badaass. i've completed the legs and inner skeleton up to the torso and i can stare at that all day. whoever sculpted the strike did an amazing job. i have the gundam seed and gundam seed destiny series on dvd. i'm watching them again to get inspiration while i build my strike and i can see from the anime that the strike model has amazing detail that doesn't show on the anime strike.

i also bought the strike rouge. yes, i have both. i found the strike rouge in china town. i was able to talk the seller down, and since i figured i really wanted the aile strike configuration, i would be getting a whole other strike for a bargain if i got the rouge/grasper combo.

i've been thinking about the color scheme for the rouge - i'll probably change it up at risk of not having the anime strike rouge gundam. not that the pink looks pansy or anything, but i have a color scheme in my head. as i conjure it up, it looks cool. hopefully my daydreaming won't lead me down a woeful path.

The PG Strike Rouge comes with some great-looking golden marking for the model's chest. Makes the whole model looked really grand. That must be something extra compared to the original Strike. Though I don't think I want to put it on. It will probably make the Strike Rouge looks more like a display unit than a combat machine.

Bandai really improved their technology in designing models this time. There's only one screw for the entire model! For Perfect Grade! The number of parts is less than 600 for Strike itself, but in terms of flexibility and action, there's no match for my previous PG model. Gundam MKII. It's really awesome.

Well... just an idea... when/if you have both Strike and Strike Rouge Kits, can't you just take Strike Rouge's torso and head and stick Strike's limbs to it? (Assuming that you haven't put the dry transfer decals on the limbs). I've recently built my first PG, the Zaku II (The green one), but the feet were a real letdown. The hands were insteresting, but failed to hold the Zaku Machine Gun with stability. Anyway, a friend of mine has the Strike Rouge and it looked really nice, even without marker detailing.  Next up, RX-78-2. Hope this post wasn't too long... ^^;
