Are you lonesome tonight? Cant quite afford a Candy Girl and cant wait for the Candy Girl game to come out? Well why dont you do what the Japanese do and get yourself a Daki Makura (roughly translated as "hug pillow").
I remember seeing the guy who came up with the idea of having anime characters printed on hug-sized pillows on TV. He was trying to get funds for his business idea. Sitting in front of some pompous investors, he was made to lie down and show the panel how the pillow would be used in different positions. Now the guy (sorry cant remember his name) is laughing all the way to the bank because (if my memory serves me right) he owns the patent to this idea.
Daki Makura is now big business in Japan and I am sure that most Otaku already have one. And its not just anime characters either - Idols (young girlies who run around in their bikinis trying to look as cute as possible) printed on Daki Makura are also quite popular.
If you need one, you can order them online and average at 15,000 yen. Well what are you waiting for?

OMG,Japan is one crazy place when it comes to anime.Candy Girls,hug pillows etc.Whats next life size gundams that work like an actual gundam,candy girls or life size anime girls that react to touch,its just crazy,I mean if I went there there would probably be a hell of a lot of things that come out of no where to surprise me.

Hmm. I'm not surprised by this. Everyone loves pillows... and for the growing otaku market...well you see where I'm going with this. Another reason I'm not surprised is because of all the OTHER kinds of crazy pillow-type thingy things I've seen... Nanako must be kinda weared out already... :P I was looking for the right term for "pillow with anime girls" on google... typed the keywords "makura girls anime"... 3rd result was Danny Choo's. XD Discussion came out on Kotaku blog on the Doki Doki Majo Shinpam Daki Makura that was on display at TGS 2007. Anyways, not that I don't like Doki Doki Majo Shinpan designs.... but I'd rather have delicious Nanoha shown here. ;) Too bad chances are I'm never gonna get one here in Brazil. Then again, I'm planning on moving to Japan a couple of years from now... who knows?
