This 1/60 scale is not out yet but is on display at Softmap and Monbuchi has taken some shots which you can see at his site. This is the version that lights up that I mentioned before. I still need to see it in the flesh before I decide to buy.
After seeing pics of my Strike Gundam, I know that many of you are thinking of getting ho...(more)

So this is the mg one and not the light up version. The hands are very manly (kinda massive) so it kind of ruins it. Especially the ugly gold color. I can see they ve added a few more details than that of the other strike freedom kits but imo my 1/100 kit looks better lol. Then theres so little you can add/modify to make the strike freedom look better as its such a simple gundam in design. Yet uber impressive in its capabilities. Hope the light up version looks better than expected and if they were to make a pg grade its should somewhat resemble the "Cosmic Region - 7003 Strike Freedom Gundam" with lots metallic gold plated parts but with longer wings(dragoon system thingys). Hope a pg one comes out or if not a PG infinite justice or PG akatsuki.

Ryo-san,
I just modified the post ;-) The blurb for this Gundam goes on about "MG proportions" even though its 1/60 scale and it is indeed the light up version.

I agree about the Akatsuki PG - I would love Bandai to bring one out.

I think that guy had painted it, thats why the Gold looks weird to us so you can take a look at the url below which is a better photo of the 1/60 Strike Freedom http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN938609

Yeh it looks much different. But still its yellow to me. I will probably coat the light up parts with a thin coat of leaf gold spray paint(airbrush & thinner), just enough so the light shows through and tones down the bright ugly color.

Hmmm...It looks kinda good accept its hands go a little over on size also another thing that gets me is that HLJ says it needs cement and paint to be finished yet it looks like a colored snap together model kit.I'm confused.

Hey Danny! Wow that is really nice! I'm currently building a 1/100 RX-93 MG, and its taking forever since I'm afraid of screwing up (70$ down the drain). Anyways I recalled that you had a 1/6 Kasumi figure, and I was wondering how much it is. (I saw one at a store here for $120 CAD ~ 12000 Yen).

Cheers,

I really enjoyed making this Gundam, but
I still like the RX178 Gundam MK 2 model kit.It kept me up all night, and that's what I like, a model kit with a challenge!I took pictures of these both with Noriko Takaya figure

Id say it looks good. I like how the Dragoon/wings look. It looks as if they made them longer and slimmer then previous representations of the S-Freedom, just like they did with the MG Freedom (an aspect that was greatly in my liking, as the other Freedom models looked a little too stocky) However I still think that the yellow/gold parts are a little odd on this thing...

Larry Tarino, I think the kit dosen't need and cement or painting(unless You want it to look more great) because normally HLJ will update about the product when the kit is release

This kit looks not too bad, except that the head is a bit too large in my opinion; but the overall scale is quite good, it looks much better than the old 1/60 Freedom model kit.

The Japanese ad of this kit states that the details and quality are "almost PG-level", sorry I don't think so.

looks awseme , but those wings make me a bit curious. They are HUGE and look great, but I wonder how durable freedoms back is to hold all that.
