It took me a while to get used to the character design but when I started to watch the **wing gundam,Wing Gundam** series I was hooked!
This is XXXG 01W WING GUNDAM from Wing Gundam - a series which ran from 1995/04/07 to 1996/03/29. This is the main Gundam in the series although there are different variations of this mecha.

This **"Fix Figuration",Fix Figuration** figure came out in feb of 2002 and I only got this last year - at a price of 7,800 yen - reason being that it wasn't available anywhere - but I *had* to have one and found it in a second hand figure store in Akihabara.
The really annoying thing is that Bandai have gone into their second (?) production batch so you can find it pretty much anywhere for half the price - brand new too.

Bandai spent a lot of time and money in the earlier Fix Figuration series but now they tend to cut a lot of corners. The Fix Figuration series now have a reputation for being looking very cool but also being very delicate - pieces just fall off! It does depend on which figure you get and you need to read the reviews at Amazon.co.jp before you buy. If you just want to display a Fix Figuration then thats fine but if you want to play about with it then think again. The **Zeonography,Zeonography** figures do a better job of not falling apart when touched.

That is the Katoki version of Gundam Wing (different design than the original one in the anime).
Bandai also released this one in MG version sometimes last year I believe.

ive got wing gundam ka also, its a very sturdy kit well made, tho the standard mg hands make holding the buster rifle a right pain, and the clip to connect the shield to the forearm is a little flimsy
