Its seems our friend COSTUMEJUNKIE has been busy at eBay check out gummo1974's negative comments - looks like I'm not the only one who has been done.
But I have most great news - I have been contacted by a ton of people who are looking for Stormtrooper armor who went to eBay and read my negative feedback - I am so glad that I am able to save these folks from a fate worse than death. For those of you who have arrived from a search engine - read the mails from COSTUMEJUNKIE and have a look at the appalling quality of goods that he makes.

I thought eBay has some sort of fraud protection program thingy.
I never have to deal with that so far (thank God). Maybe you can make some sort of petition to eBay or something

Wow. Poor Service from Costume Junkie, but from your photos you made the armor turn out nicely. Post some close ups of the armor quality, i.e. how shiny...any flaws, cracks etc. Concentrate on those aspects, many troopers will want to know. As for the poor service...isnt that "its been shipped today" nonsense unreal? But, most armor sellers don't include those extras... bodysuit, boots, and speaker system so I can see why you could be charged a little extra...but as for calling it ready to wear, that very unfortunate. The makers always send velcro but it never holds. Never. Every site I have ever seen, mods always include snaps etc. I got my armor from MovieFX for half of what you paid. But I did not get the extras. Check out http://web.ukonline.co.uk/bingo275/index.htm for some differences on helmets and stuff. Also this site has some mods you probably already did : http://welcome.to/troopertk103. Lets hope Junkie ups his service because of your post, thanks for taking the time.
But anyway, hilarious photos! I love the one of the trooper casually reading a magazine.

Granted it took a little while for you to receive your costume, but lying about our feedback ? We don't purchase $2.99 items as you specified to boost our Ebay Feedback. If you check our feedback (open to the public), you'll see it's for LARGE purchases and sales. Danny, simply put, get over it and get a life. We tried and tried to satisfy you and lies is all you have for us.

This costume junkie is a conman. I'm glad to know about their scam and will do my best to expose these dorks around the region with online & mainstream media.

Wow. The guy even had the guts to post here despite the fact that their service already suxxorz. Shepperton's definitely a BETTER option rather than having to buy crap from Costumejunkie. All those saying they give excellent quality products obviously haven't seen any better stuff. Hope you get to convince your wife to get the Shepperton version, Danny. Cheers!

Just wanted to say that your blog here saved me big time from this CostumeJUNK guy. I actually had emailed him and was inquring about his items. His replies alone made me not want to do business w/ him. He seemed to act like his crap didn't smell. I did some research on google and found your site.
I also did some more digging and found out He has a very bad reputation along the prop community. I really hope this guy gets his. Cause he is still screwing other costumers.

Hails mate,
great site and great info about the stormtrooper armor !

Ive been recently looking around for stormtrooper armor too, and seeing the self make kits and ready made ones around, and the costs I'm leaning more and more towards the german made armor kits ( http://www.moviefx-business.com/)
, they supply them assembled too , and you can even pop by to have it custom fitted.

The Fx armor looks cool. but too much work and too bad that someone charges so much for assembling it !
The kit unassembled only costs like 600 dollars...

I still need to make a choice now between a cheaper Fx armor kit, wich ill have to assemble myself (Im a pro modeller so thats no problem, painting no problem too)
or a bit more expensive pro finished german kit with better helmet....

The Britisch based shepperton suit looks even better, but a bit too steep in price sadly.....and thats without a helmet....

Man, This sort of stress me out. I've been looking for a Clone Armour (was looking for Boba Fett) and I did see CostumeJunkie, but I'd stay clear from them. another seller is exentric1. His prices are much cheaper, but then we're just not sure... he haven't really sold any costumes. I suppose if I got money to burn I'll try them. Otherwise I'll keep on looking. Any ideas for a Authentic "Ready to Wear" Costume?
