We can get the resin MG-34 (stormtrooper/sandtrooper rifle) rifles. I'd have to check with another artist who makes them :-) I sent over a chart for color choices and sizes for the suit. The shipping time is about 4 weeks.

Yes, it has been 6 weeks and the suit is being shipped tomorrow. I'm sorry if we quoted 4 weeks when we should have said most full stormtroopers take between 6-8 weeks. We put that on our site and put 4-6 weeks on the auctions but do try to get them there quicker.

Edward,
I really need a straight answer from you.
every time I write you I either dont receive a reply or I get a "will be shipped this weekend"
I need a straight answer from you - either you are not going to send the suit and are going to keep my money (as I said before that is fine - just let me know. I dont want to waste my time anymore chasing you.
Or *if* you are going to send the suit, I need an eta.
BTW, below is a quote form you AFTER I placed the order.
"We can get the resin MG-34 (stormtrooper/sandtrooper rifle) rifles. I'd have to check with another artist who makes them :-) I sent over a chart for color choices and sizes for the suit. The shipping time is about 4 weeks."
I was wondering if I should contact ebay to see if they know whats going on - because I certainly do not.

Danny, U r very, very, very nice with this people... Are we talking about 2000 bucks!?

Danny.. Hi, well your story of dealing with this company over E-Bay isn`t the first story like it. The Company took you for a ride, the down side of E-Bay there are Companies like this one. Don`t let this one Company represent all of E-Bay, next time you want a Star War suit perhaps trying an Official Star Wars dealer as my friend did when he bought himself a Boba Fett suit..

Danny, You'd just saved me almost $2000. This company was one of the places I was seriously considering placing an order for a full set of armor. Man, just to think I was that close of losing my hard earned cash for a crappy put-togethered set of plastics! BTW, excellent blog site. Let me know when you're coming to San Francisco, we'll hang out! -Sydney

Danny Thank you for this blog. I was very close to sending this guy my money and decided to give his feedback a check. I will NOT be sending $1800 to get what you got. I do not have time to redo a set of armor like you did which is why I was willing to pay the premium. I am also nervous because I am a large adult and no other armor dealer's stuff would fit me. He is promising his will. I was willing to chance it but now forget it. I hope he checks your blog for comments, and decides to either straighten up his business practices or take he effort elsewhere. And I hope this serves as a lesson to everyone to check Ebay feedback, and leave negative when they deserve it.

Woah, could have just bought one on E-bay for $600 and construct it your self. I actually even got mine for $450 about 3 years ago.... I like the Tokyo Stormtrooper shots though (I've the San Francisco counterparts

i was searching the net for prices on storm trooper suits, as ive been wanting one for a long time, and i came across here and was shocked by your review. I fully intend on buying a kit and putting it together myself. you really helped me out, thanks.

Glad I noticed this. I've been considering that guy for a while. Your expr. made me decide against it. I'm building my own with some help for websites and sintra.

Hi. I just wanted to thank you for saving me a lot of time and effort. I was about to bid on an item on eBay (CostumeJunkies) when I saw your feedback. Having relooked at the item I was going to buy I noticed it looked very rough around the edges, so I didn't bother bidding. I'm so sorry that you were put through hell... but if it's any consolation (which it probably isn't) you've helped me (and I presume others) from being conned out of their money too.

Well I have lived again my experience reading about yours Danny. I have bought from Mister (If we wanna call him this way) Pugia two Bule Guard Helmets for a couple of my friends here in Italy. I have checked many times if the items were there and ready to ship before to give him my money and he has many times ansered they were ready. As I have paid he has simply disappeared for two weeks, then I have discovered he has shipped my items 15 days after the agreed date. As somebody knows Paypal protection for buyers lasts only 45 days now but originally was only 30, so I ws scared to run short of time considering also slowness of customs in my country. Almost at the limit of my protection I have filed a claim to Paypal, cos no items was arrive here and there were no news at all about the items as they have reached the italian customs. After alot of "nice" emails fo this seller, offending me cos I have dared to open a file against him blocking this way his money account, considering aso he was repeating over and over that he was considering items arrived cos they were in Italy (Please, keep in mind, for him "arrived" means arrived in Italian customs, not in my hands!), and after many calls (paid, not cheap at all!) to Paypal service to ask their opinion, with all kind of answering operators completely agreeing with my point of view about this guy, I had the nice surprise reading that the claim service of Paypal couldn't refund my 800 USD cos seller could show evidence of shipping... Paypal does not protect you from losses or empty boxes or broken items? Yes they do but only if you ship to them the evidences at your own supplementary cost and if you go to a lawyer! Well in the end I do not have my helmets, who knows who is dressing them now, but also I don't have my money, and that guy is going around with my money, without any kind of customers service shown to me... Should I blame the bad luck, he is innocent after all? Well, please consider I have received an email from the real creator of these helmets, cos Pugia do not create a damned thing he just takes money to be a connection between creator and buyer (lucky him): the creator, Randy (he had the nickname of triomiret on ebay but now is no more registered, mmmmmmmhhh, and he is basically the webmaster of sithplanet.com) has told me that the helmets were put in the boxes almost still with fresh paint and there has also been a mistake in some part missing, cos he generally needs at least a week to do one of them... Well poor guy, all this rush becasue of me... But if Pugia was telling me they were in stock, why they should have been done in hurry??? Am I lucky at this point to have not received another masterpiece of no value at all? Only in future I will know the answer, cos still they are somewhere else not in my hands, but I think if they will arrive here I will probably discover thay are chewed by dogs too...? :-)

I almost bought from this guy too. What a bad bad bad ethic he has. I bought a completed and ready to wear suit from another source for only $800 USD. www.gotarmor.com Efrain is a very professional and talented man. Awesome job and a very good price. Oh, I know where Mr. Custom Junkie lives... drove by his residence a few times already... want me to knock on the door???? LOL

Oh, how I wish I read this just a few weeks before now! I had done a lot of reasearch (I thought) and thinking about purchasing a suit "ready to wear". I had some extra cash left from tax refund and decided to fulfill my childhood wish since I saw the stormtrooper for the first time on the screen. I was under the impression this costume would be complete and "ready to wear". After reviewing danny's blog I feel like such a sucker. That was a lot of money for me. Even if it was as it was stated I felt bad in a way for spending so much. So now I am in the process of waiting to see what the dog chewed up. Thanks Danny for the insight even if it is too late for me it seems. Is there any course i can take based on what is already known about this character who is probably on vacation right now?

I completely agree with you on all aspects of your suit problems. I purchased a suit and it took over six months and the police to get me my suit. I purchased mine before yours, so I was not aware of the problems I was about to face. Like you, I thought I was purchasing a hassle free, ready to wear suit out of the box, but was sorely disappointed when it showed up. I had planned on wearing it for Halloween 2005, but did not receive it until much later. One of the lower leg pieces does not fit me, it was molded wrong and is all distorted and funky. I emailed him and asked for a replacement piece, he told me that was too bad, I should not have gained weight. What weight, my leg is not in the shape of an L so why would it fit into a shin piece like an L? When I would put the suit on at first, the whole thing clanged and dangled, I sounded like a windchime when I walked because of the amount of movement the pieces had. Like you, I had to tighten, sand, modify and completely redo some pieces in order to form a decent costume. I wanted to let you know that I can understand what you went through. Greg

Im sitting here thinking....Is there really no way to summon a guy to court from overseas? because I see here possibly multiple cases of "false advertising" & also non-satisfactory goods. in the UK we have a CONSUMER STANDARDS AGENCY which will help us out if we run into such people like this. If "COSTUMEJUNKIE" is not going to deliver quality as advertised & deliever when he says he will then he shouldnt be in this line of work....granted that its easy money if he can make & deliver quality suits. He probably makes so much income that he doesnt give a sh*t about who buys his suits....what a pig...If this happend to me Id take his candy ass to a small cases court. (not as big as a criminal court but for the 'volatile' cases) & get my money back.......as well as er....that blade suit on CUSTOMJUNKIE's website................REMEMBER! AS A CONSUMER U HAVE YOUR OWN RIGHTS!!! THROW DOWN THE CHAINS OF OPPRESSION & RISE WITH ME BROTHERS!!!

sorry i mean the "LESS" volatile cases in the last post.

There's unfortunately so many people like this guy in the USA; i had similar problems when ordering a doll from some unscrupulous US manufacturer. Japanese people seem to be a lot more serious and dedicated when it comes to please the customers. I'll never order again a doll from the USA... CandyGirls Rule !
I was about to purchase a set of Stormtrooper armor from this guy's auction on Ebay but decided to read the Neg Comments at the last minute. I came across your comments and followed your suggestion. I read your whole story and was glad I did. I don't want to pay 15 honeys for a suit that was made with such carelessness. Looking through your pics i discovered shepperton studios. I went to their website and saw that their stuff looks a lot better. A little more expensive but better looking stuff. Is it really a dependable site and did the designer there really design the armor for Lucasfilm back in 76? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Is the armor you are wearing in the pics the one from costume junkie or shepp studios? Or do you know of a seller with decent armor and price that you could recommend. Thanx.

I recently purchased a FX armor kit from costumejunkie and it arived promptly and intact. Of course for the price it needed some modding but other than that it was good. You can only ask so much from a family run company that is based out of a house.
I've been using Ebay for three years now and I'm still a little sketchy about it. I haven't been ripped off yet, but I hear so many stories from friends. I'm sorry, all this crap has happened to you. Some people's work ethic isn't truely compassionate enough.

Danny, U r very, very, very nice with this people... Are we talking about 2000 bucks!?
