그녀를 믿지마세요, otherwise known in English as "Too
Beautiful To Lie", came out this year in Korea and is now available on DVD. This has to be one
of the funniest Korean movies that I have had the pleasure of watching.
The story revolves around the gorgeous 김하늘 ( Kim Ha -Nul ) who plays a young
lady who is gets let out on parole (being in jail because of the many lies that
she told in the past). While she is out, she has to be on her best behavior or
its back in the slammer.
Ha-Nul is on the train just after getting out of jail meets 강동원 (Kang Dong-Won)
who is a pharmacist based in a small town in a rural part of Korea. Dong-Won
is actually on his way to propose to his girlfriend and is practicing his lines
with a diamond ring......
The diamond ring is stolen (as diamond rings do) and Ha-Nul who is sitting next
to Dong-Won sees the ring stolen by some passer by (as passers by do). Ha-Nul
is worried that the theft would be pinned on her and gets off the train to go
after the chappy who stole the ring. She manages to get it back but does not
manage to get back on the train which leaves with her bag on board....
Ha-Nul ends up in Dong-Won's home town as she wants to return the ring to him
- and get back her bag. While she in in town though, many events start to happen
- starting with the town thinking that she is Dong-Won's girlfriend....
