Review of Unity Yuno from the eroge Unity Marriage. Before I continue, need to get the NSFW warnings out there - the oppai pics are at the end of the article.
Yuno is 1/8 scale and retails for 6,800 yen. Should be widely available now as she came out last month I think.
Quite a sweet figure with a dynamic pose. Have not played the game so don't know what those blue wing things are - dolphin cutters? Whatever they are be careful when putting them on as they are a bit fragile.
One of the most interesting things about this character design are the magical pantsu which are held on with two ribbons.
More downloadable Yuno goodies including wallpaper at UnisonShift and all the HCGs from the game at Sankaku (NSFW desu).
When the box arrived, I was surprised to see that the rubber "bra" cups that covers her oppai were loose in the box. I initially thought that maybe it was because she was a Saki Dashi sample [先出サンプル] which means the first samples off the production line - the folks at GSC usually open them to check the quality and I thought that mine had already been inspected.

After opening the box however, I was more surprised at how the two bra cups fit on her oppai - the rubber cups just cling on for life around her juicy(?) oppai and more often than not just fall off when you handle her.
Now for something that I've been meaning to ask you. I know that folks read dc for many different reasons but what in your mind is the most important subject covered here? Would it be the life in Japan stuff? Figures? Just want to make sure from your feedback that I'm keeping a balance.
First time here?

Agreed. I found thise site a while ago looking when I was looking for tips on assembling and painting gunpla - the PG Strike guide was a godsend.

It'd be nice if we got a few more articles like that up again. Life in Japan is a good read certainly, and some of the figure reviews are good. But I keep checking back in the hope of seeing another Gundam article!

I guess I find the figure news and events the main reason why I frequent the site, particularly around wonderfestival as Dannys coverage is pretty decent but also shares lots of useful links to other bloggers.

I tend not to pay as much attention to the life in japan stuff as a lot of what danny talks about, I somehow found out from other places. It's sometimes freaky how much i have picked up just by talking to my japanese friends and the like...

Nice pics as usual, Danny! Great shoot. Meaning to ask you, do you use a macro lens for the shoots, or the standard lens (18-55mm)?

By the way, more news from Japan would be great! Most of us don't really go to Japan much, and figures are widely covered here by most of the members. Your take on Japan lifestyle is a joy to read!

Hey, you mean those pantsu aren't cast-off-able? If those bra cups and cling, why not the two ribbon-pantsu? Geez, what a disappointment. ;)

Personally, I feel the Life in Japan stuff is more important. But, (as most of us said awhile ago when you redesigned the landing page) I feel that DC is mainly about Japan AND figures. We get a fair amount of Figure member news, which are holding the fort, but there's been hardly any figure reviews from you lately, Danny.

I think both are important content that keeps me coming back to DC.
but it's true that I could get my share of figure news from some other site as well.
However now that Danny is getting more and more inside scoop from inside the industry and not just posting released news and buying released figure, I think the tide has changed for a bit.

I think you should keep it as it is, the balance seems fine to me.

Another great figure added to danny figurine collection. I'm so envy that you have so much of them. The reason I read Danny burogu is "Life in Japan" interest me as well as your figure post.

Danny threw me a difficult question. I want to see more figurines related news, yet i also want to see more about japan life, culture etc.
The best is combine both of them. Let the girls be our tour guide. *drools*

She's so pretty, I love her hair and those clear blue things on her skirt are really cute [same with the hearts], but her "magical pantsu" just bother me so much, how they can cling on there! XD

Danny, need a little help. I'm gonna buy a new lens for my DSLR but cn't decide on whether I should get a Macro lens or an all round lens with Macro mode.

What lens do you use for your figure shoots? If you can provide a direct link to the product, it'll be great; otherwise just the basic stats will do as well (like F size and zoom length).

Mmmm... nice figure.
When I saw the bra cups, I couldn't help but be reminded of Janet Jackson's 'wardrobe malfunction' ^^;

I enjoy the latest news on figures and otaku-dom in general, but what drew me here in the first place was the articles about life in Japan, and it's still my most favorite topic.

As much as I would like to say life in Japan being honest with myself I realized that my obsession with figures is really what keeps me and also bring me here in the first place, though I still love those photo walking articles and it's a complement, it will be boring just about figures but again without them I wouldn't be here, so they're in first place.

Photo Walking featuring figures FTW!!! ^^

I'd have to say that you're striking a good balance, Danny, with your life in Japan and Figure posts. Can't say which is a more important topic to cover here but with regards to the site title, it says "Your Portal to Japan" so if I were to follow that, I'd say that the Life in Japan posts outweigh the figure posts just by a nudge. But as DC.com has become a mecca for otaku's like us, then I'd say that figure posts do cover a good portion of our interests.

Either way, I'd say that there's a good balance between both topics as both do stick true to your site's vision-mission.

Peace out.

I love the little, transparent "wing" things and the dynamic pose. It's good to see more and more dynamic, unique poses from figure makers! However, I'm not a big fan of the bra cups, gravity-defying pantsu, and patterned hair all in one fat clump. I love articulate hair, so the more sculpted and detailed it is, then the more appealing it is to me. XD I'm going to have to pass on this one. =^_^=
