Dakimakura

Today, I try to seek as many practical uses as possible for a dakimakura cover (huggable pillow cover) starting with this example.
If you are planning on robbing a fictional bank (not recommended) then you may need something to cover up your face - the dakimakura is perfect for the job.

Before I continue, I must mention that many photos in this article are not safe for work unless you have a randy boss or colleagues who usually join you when you are looking at ecchi stuff during work hours (do you?)
Thanks to comrades at HLJ for sending over this dakimakura cover of Sasara Kusugawa - 10,000 yen for the cover and you will need the pillow which costs 5,000 yen. The pillow is vacuum packed and comes flat but quite heavy.

Here we see an example of how to use a dakimakura for when you are feeling lonely - dinner time with Sasara. Dinner looks yummy too - Pretz and Pocky.
And if you feel like having a romantic dinner then just flip round the dakimakura.
Here we see Sasara-chan keeping my office chair warm while I'm out to lunch for a bit.
Great to have in the office too to prevent people from snooping around your desk.
Fed up of going for ronery drives? Sasara to the rescue. You can also use this technique for countries like the US who have carpools - two or more passengers are needed to use the fast lane.
After living with your new dakimakura partner, you will need to give her a wash from time to time. You may want to be careful which side you have facing outwards in the case that you have narrow minded neighbors.
Apart from washing your bottom, our toilet comes with a seat heater which helps prevent you jumping off the cold seat in the morning where poo would then fly all over the place.
Folks who don't have seat warmers can use your dakimakura to keep it warm.
Sasara and friends. Never ronery.
Sasara can be proactive in wanting to provide help to care for her owners health. The lines you see on her bod are the creases on the actual pillow and not the cover. I presume creases will flatten out after prolonged health care sessions?
For those who get ronery playing Wii on their own - a dakimakura makes a great partner. You may find yourself winning all the time though.
A dakimakura is also a great apparel accessory - being used here as a stylish belt.
Tis the cold season now but thanks to the dakimakura, I have a stylish scarf to keep out the chilly wind.
In some countries, it may be compulsory or fashionable to wear garnments over ones head - the dakimakura is the perfect accessory. Just make sure to wash it after health care sessions or your hair may end up tangled up, gooey and smelling of fish.
A dakimakura can also be used as a door mat to greet guests to your house.
But if you are expecting in-laws, you may want to use this side instead.
Macro shot with the Lumix LX3. The material kind of feels warm n silky. Probably very kind on your pet dolphin.
A dakimakura also makes a great evening dress for your Dollfie.
Or you can use it as a pet sheet - remember to wash it before health care sessions or you will end up with pet pee and poo all over your body. probably end up with an itchy dolphin too.

Sankaku has more pics of how a dakimakura can be used to save somebody from drowning.
Thought I'd dig up some more acquired cloth girls - this huge silky bed sheet of the lovely Erika Sendo from Fortune Arterial.
One of the nicest illustrations I've seen of her. Does anybody have an image of this? I've only seen the pose on this sheet.
A king size silky bed sheet featuring the girls from Akaneiro ni somaru zaka.
Takami Rin from Lyrical Lyric.
Kasumi dakimakura from the eroge Kimihagu. This cover is really small though and didnt know they came in different sizes.
Hmmm. Looks like she split some condensed milk on herself.
And a closer look at the Wild Cougar Beretta that we saw in the first photo.
Picked this up many many moons ago when I wanted a Socom from playing too much Metal Gear Solid. Was all sold out at the time so got this instead ^^;

And the question for the day - something that I have been meaning to ask for a while.
I previously had a feature that censored some of the photos but that was a manual process. I don't have anything automated at the moment. I am aware that some readers are here for a little something and not all of you are into ecchi stuff but does it (usually bare eyes) bother you?

If it bothers most of you then I will invest time to make a feature that automatically censors ecchi photos - if not then I will leave things as they are. Will probably use a combination of ImageMagick and CSS somehow.
First time here?

Doesn't bother me none. You keep right on posting ecchi stuffs Danny!

Dakimakura's seem nice. If anything it's an interesting design for a body pillow. No way I could own one still living at home though. XD

I still live with my parents too. It's a drag yes, but I plan on moving out this year.

This quote made me giggle out loud!!

US require the red cap, some countries don't.

Although some countries don't require the red cap, kiddy toy guns require orange/red caps. BB Guns are hard to find ~_~;

I want a nice BB gun... no need of pull back for each shot...

Indeed. The red cap system is one of the dumbest things I've ever heared of anyway. Germany thankfully doesn't implement it.

Sure. It gives policemen an escape from the "but I couldn't tell it was a toy gun!" situation, but at the same time opens a can of worms when criminals start giving their real guns red caps.

I'll have to agree here too, red caps on all realistic models is just stupid, there should be at least SOME escape clause for private use.

In the early 90's my brother took a toy gun into an airport with him (He was like 15 at the time) and got pulled into a room and questioned by security when they x-rayed his bag.. Soon to find out it was a toy. v.v;

Of course, it wasnt very bright on his part to bring a realistic gun into an airport.

No seriously, now I know what to do with mine ^^

I'm a girl and eyes or health care material of any kind don't bother me (ok maybe except guro, best. and the hardcore stuff). I wish I could say the same for guys though, they sure get freaked out by some exposed male flesh.

Mrrm. As a guy, I agree on the being freaked out by some exposed male flesh thing, assuming you're referring to pet-dolphins.

I have the same problem with exposed lower girlbits, too, though.

Otherwise, health care material doesn't really bother me, either.

Nice Beretta there Danny

i was hoping for a more 'intimate' review - but it was just as good as i expected, with the usual comedic flair
I can't wait until there is some robbery involving at dakimakura balaclava

I only have one dakimakura cover. I got it from Dengeki G's Festival covering Fortune Arterial - Togi Shiro
I hope to aquire issue 13 covering Koihime Musou this month - comes with Kan'u (Aisha) dakimakura cover.
I have yet to get an actual pillow insert though.

Looking for a king single bedsheet cover too.

Ecchi stuff doesn't bother me. Just as long as there's like a NSFW warning at the beginning of the article / feature and also not a too ecchi thumb / hero pic, then I can choose to read all the ecchi stuff at home rather than at work. :)

Danny and scarf dakimakura is way hot. Love that pose. Looks like someone secretly desires to be a super-model...

And here's my vote for more beretta, too!

So my wife just laid down the law: games (including eroge): ok, dojinshi: ok, figures: ok, dakimakura: no way. The day that one of those makes it into our bed is the day she leaves it. Yes, I'm a completely whipped hubby. There goes my plans of getting a Strike Witches dakimakura.

And the ecchi pictures are fine since the ecchi filters are doing what they were intended for. Really nice pistol too, remembered i had one back in HK and it broke because i cocked the thing back too much

I have a Kanu Unchou dakimaukra in the corner of my room because she's been a bad girl. She collects dust every now and then but its always an adventure when I go to the laundry and take her out of the bag lol ^^; example:

*takes out dakimakura*
*Woman next to me stares on awe*
*Whistle as if I did not notice her*
^^;;;

BTW I think a "NSFW" warning on the title would be fine for some minors who visit the site. Honestly I told my lil brother about this site since he's more of an otaku than me ^^" Gomen.

A NSFW warning at the very top is enough for me, I can then decide whether I'll disable images or not. While generally I tend to skip these articles anyways, in this case I wanted to see what you came up with xD.

Bare eyes are no problem. Girls in suggestive poses and manners of undress are common here anyway, and I view the whole site with that in mind. Parents wouldn't see much of a difference between them. ^^;

As for minors viewing the site - that's something they'll have to decide for themselves. No amount of censoring will stop that. I was technically a minor in my country when I first came here.

The old censoring system was quite amusing though. Too bad we won't be seeing SHOCK!Mirai much anymore.

------------------

Fashion posing was hilarious, Danny! It occurs to me that the head-covering wouldn't see much popularity though. I'm pretty sure covering your head with a naked lady is at least as bad as not covering your head at all. ^^;

And...robbing a fictional bank is definitely not recommended. Fictional money isn't very useful. Hobby Search wouldn't accept it.

I find dakimakura sort of cute, actually ^^; I might be getting the Yoko one at some point. (Can't really get any others due to 1: Parent and 2: I'm a girl so not sure my parent would believe me when I try to explain the beauty of the art on the dakimakura OTL)

Had an m92fs for costuming reasons a while back, it was a decent green gas, but since it came from Japan, it had no orange tip. ^^; That was a problem during Halloween, let me tell ya! XD And this thing about bare eyes is very thoughtful of you. I'm not a very ecchi person at all, but I do believe eyes are pretty harmless (unless they're the size of planet and destroy worlds). As long as you have the ecchi warning before we get to the article, I believe we'll be cool as ice. ^_^ Besides, who can honestly say they don't like a pair of eyes? O.o

Doesn't really bother me, but for a while, when members began to be allowed to post news up, a lot of ecchiness began to pop up. I wondered if the ladies (and possibly some male members as well) in our community were miffed by this, and I'm sure some of them left because of that. Well, personally, I'm kinda glad it toned down a bit.

Seeing eyes here on DC has become customary. It probably won't bother many DC regulars. With that said, I do find myself wondering if opening up DC at school is always the best idea. Being caught viewing unworksafe images in a public computer lab can be risky... Perhaps present warnings ahead of time? Or have a censor image that goes away when you move your mouse over it for those who wish to view it. I think I've seen it done before... but I'm no expert at this stuff.

Bare eyes don't bother me, but probably appropriate to have some kind of warning for posts containing it (akin to how news items have that Mirai pic instead of the ecchi pic). I know you did mention it in the first paragraph, but I imagine some people might skim through the pics before reading the content at times so something to warn those who do that perhaps.

Recently got my first dakimakura, being a "freebie" with Dengeki G's Festival vol13. Though I only ordered it to begin with due to the Kanu dakimakura lol. Currently hanging on my door and looking gorgeous.

I've got a dakimakura of Yoko (from Gurren Lagann) myself, but without the pillow. I just hang it on the wall next to my bed, which makes it also nice to look at ^^
Neither side has bare eyes on it, so it's safe as I still live at home with my parents ;p Although I just keep the same side to the front.

Would love to have a Beretta Sword Cutlass replica like Revy has in Black Lagoon. You can buy them in Japan, but I'm afraid I won't be able to get it here.

No problem for me, unless my mom suddenly barges into my room while looking at girls with milk spilt on them.

Now I'm enlightened on how I should use my Natsume Rin dakimakura when it arrives in a couple of weeks' time ^^;

Nice bedsheets btw :D (akasaka bedsheet looks awesome!)

Hmm, these are definitely interesting. :D I'm totally digging the hat. Could be an otaku style pimp hat, yes? I never "got" the dakimakura thing... Not a die hard anime fan over here, a lot more into the dramas and culture of Japan and friends. I like figures, they're fun to take pictures of. I only have about 4, but I do like using them to set up white balance on my camera. I was heavily into manga, but that obsession ended when anime started to get worse and worse (I turned to dorama instead. shoot me, I know).

Wow that was a lot of bumbling. Sorry. :D

Hahaha, pretty creative with all those dakimakura fashion statements. Your room looks very neat and tidy, BTW. Me likey.

As for the question regarding eyes, hellz no, there is no such thing as offensive eyes for me unless they are manboobs, in which case I would have to leave the site. XD

In where I live, people all fold their scarves all weird and knottedly, I'm glad to see someone else can appreciate the simplicity of simply wrapping yourself with a scarf than trying to entire a scarf tying contest every-time they leave the home.
