YouTube Live Tokyo

Was invited by comrades at Google to YouTube Live Tokyo - the reason why I could not stay in Singapore for AFA. The most awesome thing about Live Tokyo was getting to meet n network with a load of other YouTubers too like the lovely Magibon.
Sunday 1:45PM. Crossing the bridge over to the Odaiba area.
Drive past the thousands of folks queuing up to get in.
The event was held at Studio Coast. My Shibuya Dance Trooper video playing on the big screen to entertain the folks while they wait.
View from backstage door.
Metup with comrade Kanda-san who you may recognize from the first TV interview I done for Japanese TV below.
The Lobby Only pass for performers and reporters. Today I'm here as a reporter.
With FatBlueMan.
Nyoki Nyoki with Tsukushi.
Inside the venue.
With the MC spending a few mins going over what we are going to talk about. Not sure what I was in for so didn't rehearse. Need to brush up on the ad lib skills ^^;
More million view YouTubers.
Tsukushi must have felt a bit cold with their armor on.
Gimmieabreakman on the right with Kynapple on the left (fellow brit). Her burogu > target="_blank">http://www.kynapple.com/
Playing around backstage looking for food.
A peek at the stage before I jump on.
I'm on at about 5PM.
Talked about the armor (where/why), dannychoo.com and...
...Kagamin.
Ken managed to record my slot which I will upload to YouTube later. The YouTube staff give all performers some goodies.
Magibon is really small n sweet.
One without the bucket.
The Lobby Only pass gets us pass this barricade.
Shibuya Dance Trooper playing inside the venue too.
No photos or videos were allowed of BoA or the other biggies but you can see videos of them taken by the organizers at the Live Tokyo channel.
Tokyo Cooney - sub to his channel for a load of life in Tokyo.
Some YouTube ladies.
Daito have you seen his vid? They make music with their faces.
After the event its off to Odaiba with the other YouTubers for a networking dinner.
Emily and I making a quick video.
You can sub to Emily's YouTube Channel here.
You should expect a battle between Emily and I soon ^^
Emily has her fair share of bashers too - but we can easily deal with that by sending them for a photo walk.
Tkyosam and I get together to make a quick vid.
Now that the top YouTubers in Japan are going to make a load of collaboration videos - which channel do we upload the videos to? ^^;
Room O YouTubers. Interesting to see that the top Youtubers in Japan are mostly foreigners.
Jackie Chan (yes his real name), Gimmieabreakman, Sweet Lady and Eleven Colors.
Tokyo Cooney. Name the YouTuber on the left.
A peek at my swag which was heavily upgraded from last years YouTube Mix party.
YouTube notebook.
Just what I needed - Targus bag with Kagami case.
Big thanks to Tokyo Hunter and Ken Lee for taking some of these pics.
First time here?
If you are new here, you may want to keep up with more of the same via RSS or Danny's other networks. (dont show again)

Even I (someone with very, very little experience) can hear Magibon's Japanese isn't that great but atleast she's trying.

I find here strange in a way. She is this really cute looking girl but her fingers and especially her nails kinda freak me out.
Then there's this issue with her theeth.(sorry)

Anyway, I hope she keeps on making vids.
Merry christmas to all of you!

Hey Danny--What are your thoughts so far on the change to a widescreen video player and the &fmt=22 playing 1920x1080 HD video?

Personally, I'm impressed that YouTube is making steps toward better quality, but it'd be nice if they would fix the blurring problem. They use hardware acceleration to scale the flash object from an incorrect size, so the videos aren't actually as clear looking as the files being loaded really are. If they'd reprogram the player to scale properly the videos would look even crisper and the player would take less CPU power.

How long must she stay in South Korea? It has been 18 days and she has not updated her "Road of Dream of [Magi]" blog. Did the haters get their way? Was she sold as a go-go dancer in a thong or as a sex slave?

I watched many Emily videos during my "watch every Youtube video that teaches anything about japanese language phase" Ultimately Myargonauts and Tokyocooncey make the superior videos concerning that aspect. But Emily is cute so i was attracted to her videos (i'm a guy what can i say) She had a few videos where she cuts the camera a lot and changes outfits. It was very cute and funny. Emily at least provides some insight into her life and some educational material. I have never seen Magibon so i can not comment on her.

Currently hating youtube... I waited 8 hours for it to upload a video... But after all that waiting it said there was something wrong and I had to re-upload... GRR! LOL

Nyoki nyoki! Tsukushi do look like they have very little armor on but yum, they look really sweet!

LOL @ Daito, would love to get that invention... It would be a great use at a party or something... Maybe they can make something that makes the body move to he music? THat'll be awesome if they could do that!

Looks like an awesome time you had, Danny! I want to make videos too!

Looks like you had fun there! Didn't really pay attention to those "Live" thingies that have been going on now but heard quite many dissatisfied things about Youtube Tokyo Live as it wasnt really live in Youtube like the San Francisco one was. I bet it would have been pretty amazing to follow live stream in Youtube as well.

Btw Danny, on the link to Kynapple's blog, the is a /div tag stuck to the end of link, which ends up making it a dead link.

Yeah, I didn't read the bit that said they were uploading videos as they happened either. I remember everyone's comments, and they were all super pissed too. I didn't think it was that big of a deal, I just kept refreshing the video page until new ones popped up.

I used YouTube to upload videos back in High School - I haven't really had a chance to make much since then, since my first year of film school last year was all in Super8 film and weren't worth the cost of a video transfer. I do have a project I can upload now, but since I was just the editor, the director has the final say - and he wants it kept under wraps until the end of year university film festival. ><

I love their stage. And this article was indeed interesting, in that I recognize some of those people.

I've uploaded videos on YouTube before. But i retired.

There's too many idiots on YouTube, especially when it comes to the anti-Anime community who devote their YouTube accounts to making videos about bashing Anime and Anime fans. I was actually one of the few Anime fans who stood up and defended the culture. Eventually the stupidity of the Anti-Anime groups on YouTube got to the point that it was useless to continue fighting and trying to get into their thick skulls of theirs. So I quit. Plus i don't have all the time in the world to be making new videos to these idiots.

I'd rather be here on Dannychoo.com and hear the positive roots of Anime culture with my people.

While that may be true, One can ignore those haters and continue to use the medium for its' many great qualities it offers. I plan on uploading some classical guitar videos soon to get some criticism from some users i follow. If you like uploading videos don't stop for that reason. If you don't have the time i understand but don't let some idiots prevent you from creating ever!!

Actually that's right. I do intend to make videos for other things. I've made videos for Rap Music reviews and such. I just haven't been in the mood anymore.

It's just too bad that anytime i make a video about Anime, the haters find it somehow and feed off of it. I can't go on YouTube saying how great a certain TV Anime is without some idiot making a smart assed remark in my comments section.

And i don't like the idea of disabling comments.
