I'm afraid to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to bring you any more articles...
...until I get better. The unforeseen circumstance being "me down with some sort of flu." Currently have a cough, sore throat, headache and am dizzy with a temperature orz.

I thought I was doing better at taking rests from work but I guess I need to try harder. Having said that, I think I am doing a bit better than before - I used to get really sick twice a year which would put me out for days.
During my time at Amazon, I was taken to the hospital by ambulance after collapsing at home. I had a severe case of the runs, temperature of 40, the trembles and an incredible headache. I stayed in the hospital for a few days where I was being fed by a drip. During that time I thought how convenient it would be if humans in the future had a socket in the shoulder where one could then plug in packets of drip to feed themselves ^^;
Do you get really sick from time to time? I know folks who are built like a brick and never get sick.

Today was a big milestone for my company - has something to do with this photo taken today at GSC - will announce soon. They let me play with the original sculpt of Pixie Hiyori. The original painted sculpt is called the "Deco Mas" [デコマス] and is short for "Decoration Master."
Once both copies of the cast have been made and sent off to the factory in China, this one is kept in a plastic container and stored in the warehouse never (rarely) to be touched again. Have a look at the Good Smile category for more info about the figure making process and pics of their warehouse.

And because today was the big milestone, I've been working longer hours than usual. I guess being sick is good in this case because it forces me to take rest.

Will still be updating the News Items as they only take a few seconds to prepare - the process to push out articles still requires many steps including server side builds and wot not.
Would also like to thank all the members uploading great content to the Member News.
My reserve energy cells are at 15% and are depleting fast so I'm off to rest and recuperate in bed reading ecchi manga (To Love Ru + Maiken-ki) so for the time being see you in the News Items.

Yay, Pixie Hiyori!

Well, currently, I have a cough. I went to this government clinic, which cost me about $30. Didn't seem to get any better, so I went to a private clinic, which cost me $50. The medicine looked more fancy, but it didn't seem to help. So I went back to the private clinic and this time it cost me over $80.

Woah, I started wondering whether I'll go bankrupt first if this continues or if there's some remote possibility I'll die of a stupid cough before that happens.

That didn't stop me from playing with my figures though. Just unpacked Max Factory Yuki Nagato and was debating if I should display her in the maho uchujin costume.

Best to avoid medicines, avoid prescription medicines such as antibiotics as much as possible and only take it if its necessary.
As for coughs, just let the body do its work, as long as you are fit and healthy it will be gone in a few weeks, usually 2. Those lozenges for cough, are okay for temporary relief... But I find they are just a waste of money.
Just my 2cents

Get well ASAP Danny. Rest is the key to recovery.
I would say, keep reading ecchi manga, it will raise your body temperatures. Above normal body temperature is the best way to kill off the pathogens. Plus lots of fluids... Energy sports drinks(gatorade) are very good if you feel too tired to eat anything. You will need plenty of energy to recover.

The worse case of the flu-like symptoms I had was pretty bad in my case... Since I rarely got sick... I get sick with the cold/flu about 3-4 times a year.
I had similar symptoms to yours plus I was trembling because my body was unable to maintain a constant body temperature. I was still shaking even with 3 layers of blankets. The worse was over within 3 days, and I was able to get out of bed again.

I think Pixie looks so much cuter as a 3D figure than the 2D picture in the website. It's a great figure, very cute pose.

Sorry to hear you are sick Danny. Take care and don't worry about the articles. Your health is much more important and articles will wait.

Yes, I would get sick like that in the past. It would bring my life to a halt and put me behind on everything. I'm more fortunate now that I don't have it happen too often...I hope... It's a little more difficult for some of us to quit working and relax...

Hope you will be back to your everyday self soon.

Ugh, I always get sick. Last year I got sick in school and kept getting sick. I think I missed a total of 2 months. I also have Fibromyalgia which makes it very hard for me to get up and moving in the early mornings and I get tired easy.

But recently (last week) I got sick with some sort of Flu. Headache, Sore throat, Achy, Dizzy, Fever, etc... I woke up one morning and had a temperature of 101.4 F. (38.5 C.). Getting the flu sucks, especially when you have lots to do before school starts again. Get better Danny!

On another note, I used to get sick a lot when I was younger(primary school days) but not so much anymore. Well, I guess it has something to do with the body's immune system. It should get stronger as you age as once your body is infected by a particular flu virus, it won't get infected with the same one again. You are exposed to more as you age and theoretically you will get sick less often or that's what by Biology told me in class ^^
