snack for the dopohin?? seeing that there... right by your computer??? O_o
where better place to feed your dolphin his snacks when it has the best entertainment at hand anyway, my local has Japanese, Korean and Chinese snacks and often priced in that order for instance Japanese Pocky for AU$4.00 Koren Pocky for AU$1.50 Chinese 'Pocky' for AU$.80 why.....T_T
ok, i realised i spelt 'Korean' wrong =____=" forgive me....
Yeah I know....anything Japanese is a complete rip off over here in Aus. I don't know how much truth there is to it, but a friend once told me that all the Chinese and Korean snacks get imported direct from China and Korea, but the Japanese snacks are imported to China and then to Australia...which would explain quite a bit...
where's the Japan-Aus free trade agreement??
Damn imported stuff is expensive over there..
Snacks for dolphin? I knew i was missing something from my kitchen. Get!
LOL PICTURE 10 IS WHALE SNACKS [thats what they call em here in korea]
Dolphin snacks AND whale snacks? I see danny is going all out this evening
I bet Danny has a big backyard pool :) But the cookies look so small, you'd be wasting whole day feeding.
no Kit Kat?!!? Unforgivable
I agree. here we have ritz and oreo, but they aren't good at all.
Japanese Kit Kat flavors are so good, got me some Sakura flavored ones not so long ago. Wasn't sure what it would taste like, but it was good, tasted kinda like coconut and banana really. My 3 faves are Melon (cantaloupe in the states), Sakura and Green Tea is just baller.
***Drool!!!*** X_x Sounds.... soooo.. goood..... Wish they had those here. I can only imagine what the Green Tea flavor tastes like. Any other flavors out there that I am missing out on?
Snacks here are good with many popular brands like Pocky (renamed to Rocky), Mars, Snickers, etc available. Though some of their prices are quite out-of-place here. A bar of the ice cream version Mars and Snickers can cost the same as or sometimes more than a complete set of meal (food and the drink). >_<
I thought Rocky is the rip-off version of Pocky.. orz
They've got the Glico license written on the box so I think it's legit. ^^
Ah, that's nice... Though a fake with "Glyco" or "Gluco" (both meaning "sugar") would be fun to come across.
Rocky, a snack guaranteed to pack a punch! *laughs*
Yeah, the name is rather silly. I was quite surprised when I saw it the first time too, and I also thought it was some rip-off of Pocky but seems like it's not after all. ^^
But it is way cheaper than the real Pocky.... so I don't really know whether it really is legit. Unless they somehow substituted some of the ingredients inside with cheaper alternatives. ^_^
Snacks here are okay I guess... I lurve Jack and Jills potato chips, salsa flavour!
Got awesome snacks here and not just Swedish boring ones, but asian and such. Ah, now I need to go out and buy some. T.T
Hahaha! That Morinaga CM made me laugh so hard xD Snacks are so much better in Japan, but I guess snacks here still tastes more like juicy juicy eyes than soggy smelly poo, lol.
I'm only addicted to Pocky (Strawberry flavour). Used to munch countless boxes a week, but now cut down till I haven't had any for months. Have to watch diet, too much snacking is very very bad lol. Looks like I'll need to get one of those dolphin snacks too.
I am currently addicted to Pocky, like you were. ^^ Good thing they're cheap here so I can afford to eat like about 40 boxes (mostly chocolate though) in about a month. ^^
It's not so much about the cost....but the amount of weight that would just addon to you, it's scary!! I ain't going to make a full 180 degrees to "regain" back whatever I painstakingly lost.
But I seem to maintain a stagnant weight here, so I guess about 40 boxes a month is still ok for me. ^^
Lots of... certain exercise, eh? *Bursts into laughter* Keep it up, man!!
I don't know if you'd call about 3 times a week a lot. ^^ Uh, seems like I'm giving too much information. >_<
Sadly yes you did, but at least you were honest on that.
I is love Pocky too. Tsubu Tsubu Ichigo and Ichigo mousse are d bestest
I love Pocky. When I Japan I found Seasonal Winter Pocky, it was awesome. Unfortunately I can't find them in the UK. Also most UK Pocky outlets sell the Thai versions, which don't seem to taste as good as the Japanese versions. Pocky are also expensive here, which means they are just for special occasion snacking, not regular snacking.
i'll rather eat Konomi. ('~')
Some of those snacks you postet look like they have german siblings hehe... the cookie with choco inside could be a "Prinzen Rolle" for example. ^^; (thats two wheat cookies with choco between them) I have one drawyer of my desk ONLY for sweets... there you can find everything from cookies, chips up to fruity stuff - depends a lot on the season and my mood though. Can't work without something to eat besides. ^^;;; Best example is how bad i play Go when my mouth isn't occupied... i used to play Go tournaments with a lot of chupachups (lolipops), did help me a lot with thinking... somehow... weird, but true.
We have a lot of snacks in the US. That's probably why we're so obese (59 million Americans weigh 30 or more pounds than what they should really weigh) Since I'm not very active, I tend to have snacks that are less in calories. We have a brand called "100 Calorie Snack Packs" which are basically snacks that equate to 100 calories. I found these are the snacks that taste a lot like the actual product, while not ingesting a high amount of calories. If I absolutely must have a snack, I'll either have Doritos, Cheese Doodles, Sour Cream & Onion potato chips (or Pringles), cookies, a small slice of Entenman's cake, ice pops, or vanilla pudding. I'm sure there are more things I snack on, but that's all I can think of now.
If you buy J-snacks at all, you'll find that the portion sizes GREATLY differ from that of our gut-busting american counterparts. The first time I was in Japan, I was stunned whenever my host father took us out to get snacks and got a tiny package of like 4 2-bar Kit Kats and a 1 Liter bottle of Sprite for basically the whole family.
Remember heading to the markets at Ueno to grab lots of snacks there.
I had no idea that Lotte was a Korean company! O__o This is my all time favourite snack: http://www.ohgamja.co.kr/ it's called "Oh! Gamja" and it's a potato snack shaped like a chip but hollow. Burger Rings would be my second favourite. I'll get back to you which is my Japanese snack of choice...
A Lotte hotel? Makes me think of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wanka included.
Thats just too much snacks for one day in the office :D
I love Crunky. I bought some of that & some Panky back from my last visit. My real weakness though is Salad flavoured Pretz. Was in London yesterday & popped into the Japan Centre to restock with Calpis Water, Pocari Sweat & Pretz.
YOu can get LOTTE in Australia too in chinatown and some supermarkets.
I try to stay away from snacks but I like the chocolate macadamia nuts. I've recently gotten addicted to green tea chocolate chip cookies.
Nope, my staple dessert is milk+cereals, and this for breakfast, lunch and dinner (calcium, fibre and many other nutrients). Though I admit those sweet biscuits look dang good. Btw... it's..... Commercial time! Your dolphin needs some special excitement? Is suffering from dullness? Wait no longer! Buy our Flip Hole and make it discover a taste of the future! available in your ero shop or online!! *Not found in all locations in the world-The company is not responsible for people passing out of pleasure*
Hm... my dolphin has been dull and hungry as of this late. I guess I should get that snack for it. ^^
Danny: AFAIK Lotte is founded in Japan by a Korean man so you weren't exactly wrong in the first place ^^
2nd pic.... crunky.....
http://farm1.static.flickr.com/159/427640488_17b03dfde1.jpg?v=0 heh heh, Cream Col(l)on.
I live in America so... The quality is pretty big. There are all sorts of snacks, and too many actually. I have to admit, all of the snacks we have are delicious! But the Japanese ones look creamy and crunchy and... *drools*.
that sleeping kid commercial was funny
POOOOOOOCKYYYYY!!! oh! & also Hi-Chew!!
I love Japanese snacks, had some myself yesterday. I have 2 Japanese markets nearby where I live.
I didn't realize Lotte was a Korean company... There U.S. headquaters is in Battle Creek, Michigan. http://www.lotteusainc.com/about_us.html I'm spoiled now. I have eaten so many Japanese snacks, I don't really care for stuff here in the states. Now I understand when Japanese say American chocolates and such are too sweet. How about Angel Pie Danny? I really enjoy those a lot. I have a weakness for Cheetos. Usually I buy the baked Cheetos since many of the regular types upset my stomach. Not too many other snacks I enjoy now. Snacks here taste too salty, too greasy and just too much everything.
Same place as Kellogg's main HQ, huh...
Ah snacks... Here in Toronto, there are a ton of different snacks ranging from chips to cookies to Pocky!!! My favorite snack for me is Pocky Strawberry flavor. Munching on some right now!!!
Luckily, I'm in Vancouver, BC, so there are tons of Japanese (and HK/Taiwan, South Korean) snacks here. Hmm, I guess that's the reason why my waistline is getting a little soggy. ^_^;
okay thanks danny I'm hungry now, you gotta send me all those snack (other than the last one) now LOL over here we;re lucky that we actually have a variety of japanese imported snacks ^^ Meji products are pretty yummy too ^^/
pocky is probably the only asian snack i've tasted,it sure is hella good tho^-^ specially the strawberry ones :p
Hmmm snack for dolphin.. me wants it too! Anyways, I also buy japanese snacks every now and then... but they cost me a lot. You know, it's japanese price plus taxes and transportation... so it's a luxury item here. But nothing better to enjoy with green tea or a japanese meal. Well, in Brazil we have lots and lots and lots of snacks. Though luxury items... more refined snacks are kinda rare. We have the cheaper stuff. And lots of variety. You know, Brazil should be called the "food country". I know some japanese who came to Brazil and were completely surprized with the prices and stuff we have here. For instance: Fresh fruits like melons, bananas and pineapples, which are kinda expensive in Japan, are some of the cheapest food items in Brazil. Chocolates... well, we have some expensive stuff here, but there are also cheaper chocolates which comes in huge bars. Not to mention barbecues, "feijoada", and some other stuff. Like I mentioned on some other topic, if there's something I'll miss not having if I move to Japan, is the brazilian food...
Are "traditional" Brazilian restaurants really those that have people that bring meat out on swords and serve it to you at your table? There's a restaurant around here that my friends and I go to occasionally that is called "The Green Forest" and they claim to be traditionally Brazilian, and they do the sword thing, and I don't doubt its authenticity, it is a unique way to eat (though I don't necessarily care for chicken hearts >< ). Also there's a drink they serve there that's supposedly cherry flavored that tastes like paste did in 1st grade. ^^;
Really, Lotte is Korean? But all of their products are so, so 日本的! I mean c'mon, who else but the Japanese would name almonds and chocolate 'Ghana'? =P Everytime I went to the local and only Japanese food store around here I used to buy a box of Lotte's Custard Cake, but for some reason they stopped carrying them. Now I just buy the seasonal flavor of Koala March and some Yukimi daifuku filled with ice cream, and that works just as well. ^^
I got mayonnaise Ototo by accident once, they're horrid! Also, does that Potelong package suggest that I "make a habit of the texture"? Unless I'm misfiguring what "kuseninaru" means.
Just bought some fruit jelly snack from Costco. I think it's mainly potato chips, cookies, ritz and similar snacks in US. There are also some Korean markets here so I can get Korean snacks as well but I'm sometimes afraid of eating them due to the expiration date. Korean snacks get imported from Korea and I heard sometimes they fake the expiration date x_x
I like to eat ant japanese sweet especialy chocolate from japan...but the thing I crave right now is mochi icecream....*drools*...cost so much though...
Yeah, the Japanese make the best snacks :) For example - Pocky Crush is freakin' addictive...
I haven't found many i like ... they are mostly flavourless. I do love the Ritz though but they're not Japanese.
KUDOS for YIPPY's here in Costa Rica, and also for the GALLO PINTO lol...
Honestly, I prefer the Japanese snacks. Mainly the junk food xD I never really liked Pocky, it always seemed plain even with the strawberry and chocolate frosting.
I feel like eating Yan-Yan or those chocolate filled pandas now, those are my fav
Ooohhh nice! xD I'm looking for nendoroid puchi GSC, but it seems nowhere to be found... T_T Last resort I'll try looking around auction..
Oopss.. posted in wrong place... xD
despite being a sloth and spending too much free time on the net and in front of the teli, i try to stay away from snacks especially the sweet ones. i prefer snacking on bananas and mangoes. if craving hits, then it's the potato chips for me. :)
I try to lay off the junk food and i prefer fruits such as Mango, Apple, or Orange
Yes, I prefer to have fruit too. Raspberry, strawberry, grape... in the center of my jelly-filled, powdered donut.
I like chocolate Pocky better than the strawberry kind (that stuff is ok in small batches). The best kind IMO is the chocolate and coconut Pocky. :) Pocky aside, I love those tako and Kimchi/shrimp crackers.
lol at dolphin snacks! i <3 the cookies sold by marks and spencer here but they are generally on the expensive side. so i'll indulge only once in a while ^^;
Kasugai Peas and You are also good snacks. I love peasu.
I'd have aya ueto for snack pls. ^_^
No Pokki?! Seems like all are biscuits snacks. Any of those "beans"?
where's pocky? o.O
It's kinda cool to see that no matter where you go, junk food is junk food.
Dang, now I'm hungry...
Lokked tasty
i consume more snacks or junk foods compared to my normal meal everyday. my line of work doesnt allow me to have much time for a decent meal, so i'll grab whatever that can be eaten. no jellybean or gummies in your list?
You bought lots of snack!!! I love japanese snack. I bought them from time to time in my local stores. But they're so $$$ here. (@@.
they all look great hehe, i personally try not to snack while working on a computer. Though i simply forget about food until someone reminds me of food hehe
we have a lot of nice snacks here but some has small quantities in them >.> we don't have much imported snacks here but i always wanted to try some ^^
Japanese snacks cost too much money down here...still find myself buying them from time to time.
o_o i think that snack for dolphins is the one doing the eating... ... .... *shiver*
i love lotte, meiji and ferrero SpA's chocolates!!! Other than that I don't really eat a lot of snack type of foods. I'm very picky about it. heheh!
I love the chocolate coved Pocky sticks, now I have a craving, must go out soon.
Hahaha that last video clip was hilarious. I love how they were all laughing on the couch at the end.
my snacks are main comprised of whatever Pepperage Farm stuff my friend bring me from work, pretzels and beer...occasionally I do like pocky though
Snacks in my country well they are great, what can I say this is a land of xocolatl (náhuatl-chocolate); tacos, jícama con chile, tamarindo.......................
snacks for dolphinS ?? how many dolphin(S) do you have?
Guess he spoke in general, not about himself. :P
the Dolphin snack, in a safe but reachable distance, right? *nudge nudge* ~_^
Snacks are snacks. ^^ They really look delicious. We had a package with Japanese ice tea, but, well, I dunno if we still have it... /:-|
That Ghana commercial (first one) uses a song by Chatmonchy (チャットモンチー)! Which one it is, however... I can't think of it right now. ^__^" Oh, and I love Black Black gum by Lotte. :D
I got some of the japanese oreos recently: tasted exactly like American ones to me. And the wasabi doritos are fantastic, but i couldn't get any American to try them (cowards!). My favorite snack is meltykiss, but they on ly ship them in winter months.
i eat American oreos and ritz. But i tend to buy alot of Pocky, they have a "oriental" grocery store here. I bet they'd have some of these there.
I <3 mochi. Japanese snacks are so good~! Bought a bunch in the airport ^^
Crap... Snacks give you massive diabetes here. The more you eat, the closer you are from killing yourself. Even the vegetables, E. Coli...
dolphin Snack LOL
It's oishii but futsuu not like the packing in Japan.
Crunky??? 2nd picture down... WHUUUUUAAAAAAT??? sounds interesting
je, is coool
These snacks are making me hungry as hell >__< thank god i have lunch in 10 minutes XD
hmm, from all of these pictures, only 2-3 snacks that are the same on my country.... can you send one of it to my house? LOL
